Thanks Greg for the most thorough overview of dump trailers that I’ve seen. You hit all of the main points, and some that many folks don’t even know about. I’m grateful that your dealership is within moderate driving distance from where I live. To me, the dealership makes all the difference when buying jobsite equipment. The time you took & the topics you covered just added you to the list of dealerships that I’ll be visiting when i buy my next trailer.
Thank you guys for pointing out, about the low battery and fluid will leek out. This happened to me to times. Thanks again for all the walk around and showing how to maintain the battery and all the grease fittings. John Evans.
If your loosing fluid, these trailers can come slamming down on top of a person or thing like a fly swatter, from what I'm told! it seems like hydraulics could have a some check type valve to prevent this? Having come from oilfield industry, it never occured to me until having to get under one for repairs.
Not going to say your wrong as I've been around these a lot in 12 years and never seen this happen. That said, if it takes about a minute to power down, and about the same on a gravity, what is going to make it come "slamming down like a flyswatter"?
Underneath rear driver's side corner like pretty much all dumps. Horrible placement, could be much better if it weren't for the DOT requirement to have a light over it.
I had a fluid overflow ( due to low battery) after charging the battery back to 100% over a couple days now the pump does not respond at all ( just clicks when I press up or down) is that a sign of a blown seleloid?
@@melloyellogsxr turned out it was the solenoid, I had to contact the manufacturer directly and get them to send it as no one else carried it lol crazy shit
Warn makes 2-gauge harnesses for winch setup's that can be used to run direct from your main battery while Keeper makes 6-gauge harness that would charge the battery faster, but likely not allow you to run direct. You can also google search welding wire and quick connect ends and it should come up. This is probably the best way to go on a one-to-one setup for keeping a battery charged without issue. There are other things that may work better in a one-to-many application, like a high output solar charger, or a voltage amplifier like they use on lift gates that would mount in the toolbox.
the video helped me thanks! I was wondering why my fluid overfilled my box when i dropped the bed with gravity. Sure pissed me off, now its full of fluid and a mess. I want to unhook everything now and clean it out properly. I know now to never do that again! I thought something went wrong with my system. My brothers trailer only gravity drops, I assumed it wouldnt be a problem. GRRR they should have a warning sign for this. such a piss off
Most manufacturers use iso-32 non-foaming hydraulic fluid, which is pretty readily available at any hydraulic shop, and most hardware stores. Pretty much all dumps use a similar system.
Depends on the brand, the size, etc. Generally speaking removable sides tend to be a good bit cheaper than permanent as permanent tends to cost more to build and to ship. Give us a ring and we can price out the size/brand/spec etc you are looking for.
I would possibly agree with that at the homeowner level, depends on the duty cycle of a commercial user. A 2 or 6ga auxiliary wire harness would often be the best in a commercial application, so long as it's 1 truck to 1 trailer. Keeper makes one we use in a 6 ga, fairly reasonably priced, worked for most. If buying solar, get a decent one. Typically the smaller panels (monocrystalline) are higher output than the large ones, just have to keep them from getting broken. I've seen some customers put a piece of plexiglass over them with a spacer in between. premium-supply.com/products/solarpulse-7-watt-battery-charger?_pos=2&_sid=8f075c2ef&_ss=r

Nice job. More information than my dealer gave me when I made my purchase. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome video... Have a similar trailer, but my salesman did not take the time. I truly appreciate your expertise. Thank you for sharing.
Awesome! Thank you!

Thank you for explaining in detail much appreciated
Glad it was helpful!
Great info, thank you!
Thank You, I learned a lot!! Kudos!

Great information ‼️‼️
Good information👍

Any specific grease to use and can you use one type for all? Tx.
Typically Red Lithium

Our wasn't wanting to go up basically had to jump hotwire to the up solenoid to get it to move.. But the hydraulic fluid was half empty

Very thorough, Thanks bro

Can I switch to a lithium battery
Greg is an ace
Where can I find that kind of auxiliary wiring harness?? I need one so tired of the battery on my trailer carping out

I wish your business was closer to me. I would be buying a trailer from you. I suspect shipping is not a good option?

2.20 quit giving ideas for the thieves man!!!
Excellent help thanks.
I don't have a trailer, but great info. Do you have a location in Dallas, TX?
We do not. 2 locations in PA only.
what's the price on a 3 feet side.

just get the normal 2 feet sides and add onto it with the stake
pockets
great info. thanks

If you own a dump trailer, purchase a nice solar charger. You’ll never have to worry about your battery again

Good info thx
Thought this was a video about dump trailer maintenance, not a dump trailer accessory and FAQ video
Redeye, sorry to waste a few minutes of your time. It was our first attempt at a service/maintenance video for our customers.
You did very good. If you weren't about 3000 miles from my home, I would likely buy one from you.

Beautiful Baby? Hmmm.... odd, but thanks!
Who cares
So far about 80k people!
