Hi Deborah 😊 I'm a 18yo beginner skater from Gabon (a small country in Africa) currently studying in China. I've been watching your videos for months now, even before I bought skates and start skating. I just want to tell you that you're an amazing teacher and an amazing person ❤ thank you so much for everything I learned from this channel , thank you for your energy, your positivity, for being this wonderful person you are,for everything 💞 I can't wait for the holidays so I can skate everyday 😩 😭🥺
All School Dances need the opton of School Friendly Skates (along w/ Megamaxes in Blue for Males & Pink for Females to eliminate those bathroom lines) so that it can become more fun.
My sister and I joked about coming out to fountain Valley when we heard about all your different skate nights and training. We live in michigan, it would be a helluva trip!!
Thank you so much! I've been looking for lessons, but no one seems interested in teaching a 60-something dance moves. So I turned to RUclips . . . your video is the first one that really clicked. I will practice and watch more of your videos. My goal is to surprise my family on my next birthday that mom is still a little bit cool. Thank you!
OMG! I love this! As a Zumba-dancer for nine years now, I have thoughts in my head about combining Zumba moves with skating. And now you just convinced me that it might work! Me and my brand new black, suede, delicious, Moxi Lollies (it took 8 months to get them!) are going to do Zumba on wheels... (PS I'm so glad I own but-pads, lol) Love and light from Norway! (Btw: more snow to morrow eve... This winter will not let go!!)
Let me just say, I started skating 2 months ago going on 3 and you have been my go to online teacher haha. I have been religiously watching your videos and I’ve learned to backwards skate, transitions, spins, and even going down a mini hill backwards. You just have such a fun but educational way of explaining things. Thanks to you I have a new lifelong hobby, which has also gotten me out of my depression. You also skate so gracefully btw ✨ I just really love your videos 😩
whoooohooooo love it!!! More More More dance videos. Gonna do this at the Senior Skate tomorrow. Gonna encourage more skaters to this dance. What Fun !!!!
Hi Dirty!! Love your tutorials!! Can you please show us how to do these or other simple dance steps while skating around the rink? I used to envy the shuffle skaters at the rink when I was young and am, after 25 years, back on skates. I have trouble doing the dance moves while skating. Thanks!!!!
You are an amazing skating teacher! I'm so happy I found your channel because I'm about to receive my roller skates this coming week and I'm so excited to put everything you teach into practice. Thank you so much for your videos!!!
Hey there beautiful lady, I’ve been absent a while, a terrible few months in my life and am trying to start over. I’ve not stopped skating it’s helped me through but it has been a little less as I’ve barely had time to scratch myself and also fell moving and badly hurt my knee. Soon as an mri scan cleared me, skates were back on and it’s mostly because of you Dirty and the Moxi team, all so inspiring and non judge mental. Your positivity in this video at the end is exactly what Ive needed to hear today I felt so flat. Thank you thank you, 💕 so glad that business is starting up for FV. Take care and never stop being you! 🌸🌸
Awwww thank you so much! Welcome back to the channel and good luck to you on "starting over". I can not tell you how many times I have done just that on many different levels. Skating is a great way to journey through our lives :)
Right on time! You are so smooth on skates I love watching you move! Learned you used to artistic skate so this makes sense. You should do an artistic routine and show us what you used to do or if you have some video clips I’d love to see some of your old competitions.
I be seeing moves in my head but can't seem to transfer from there to my feet while on wheels....like logistically or mechanically , lol. Doesn't execute EVER on wheels as it would without, any suggestions 🤔
Dirty deb you are my FAVORITE person to learn from. I just got my skates in, and I’m having some knee pain. I have an old ballet injury and it seems to be acting up when I skate. BUT I LOVE SKATING even though I’m not good at it yet. Do you have any tips on how to avoid knee pain??
Watch my video "Adjusting Your Roller Skates" in the "gear" section of my playlists on my channel. It will really help you understand your skates better.
I really enjoy your videos! My question is some of the wheels on my left boot are barely soiled after a skate session and that leg doesn’t burn much at all as the other leg with the greatly soil wheels. How do I fix this.
Practice with both legs. Start doing more things with your left leg. Everything you do on the right also try and do on left and build up strength and balance out your sides.
Hi! I’m absolutely loving your videos, you are the first person to really get thru to me!!! Im wondering what your posture tips are for lower back pain. Im bending my legs- but I think I’m accidentally arching my back, even if my core is tight! Is this normal?
I have a question for an experienced skater! I enjoy skating soooo much but my favorite things to do are trail skate outside and jam/dance skating on flat ground. I have a pair of boot skates with a small heel (Chicago skates i got second hand) and I HATE THEM ! The high ankle makes me feel like I can't stop because it digs into my ankle and the heel puts all my weight on my toes which is super uncomfortable for me. I got the boot skate because I was told it was the best for tricks but I'm finding it very difficult. I am asking, do I NEED to use the heeled boot style for tricks and the skate park eventually or can I keep using flat speed skates if I'm more comfortable on them?
Do you have any skate/ insole recommendations for people with flat wide feet.? I have a pair of the riedell angels and I was wondering if another pair with a lower heel would work better for me? Or is it just something I have to get used to with time?
I'm still a newb but I have wider feet & I find that derby style skates are much more comfortable for me. I hear some of the Bont skates are good for wide feet, but I haven't tried them yet. I love the vintage, cool boot look of heeled skates, but they don't work as well for my foot shape.
Okay, this is a little off-topic, but I have a question about artistic roller skating that I can't find an answer for on the internet. -> How many roller skates does a professional figure skater own during his life? I mean, If you start a professional career as a child, you need a new pair every few month due to feet growth, right? And how often do skates wear out because of material damage? (I'm asking for a novel I'm writing on, where a 25 year old Character is a professional Skater.)
@@Dirtydeborahharry That's helpful, thank you very much. :) (Also thanks for your videos, I've started skating in October and already learned a lot from you.)

You’re the best! Love your energy, I swear that I hear you in my head when I skate!!

Omg I do too, I hear her say down with the butt up with the gut and I say it loud lol I love it ❤
