This is such a high quality well made video! I really appreciate the extra technical details you include with the graphics of the skates and edges. I look forward to seeing more!!
Thank you 🙏🏽 Glad you liked the video and appreciate the extra details. I’m hoping to continue to develop the graphics and animations as I make more videos. Plenty more to follow 🙂🎥
@@pewezzyskates409 it was the Chaya Fashion Black skates. They're discontinued now, but Chaya is a great brand if you want comfy beginner skates for wide feet ❤
I immediately went to your Instagram to follow you after seeing this video! I appreciate your teaching style and the way you connect to who you're working with. On your stat card it stated you've been skating for around 2 years...that's incredible! Thanks for the lesson.
@@Harleywayne technically just over 2.5 years (since July 2020 🤘). Consistency is key, so just skate whenever you can and you will see the progression 📈
I am a NEWBIE skater - less than 1 month. I can not do much but skate forward, bubble forward, and backward. You popped up on my feed, and I am SO happy that you did! Even though the moves you cover here are intermediate-advanced, they inspired me SO much! Your shots and illustrations are MAGIC! Thank you so much! I can start drilling them because you broke them down so clearly ❤ I hope you create more for advanced beginners in the future. You BOTH rocked so hard!
Thank you for the great feedback 😊 and welcome to your skate journey 🙌🏽 I’ve really enjoyed making these videos and I’ve lots of videos planned (just need to go out and shoot them 😅). I will make sure to make some for advanced beginners also. With most moves, even the more advanced moves, if you can’t get the full move straight away there will be part of it that you can pick up and gradually acquire the rest! Let me know if there is any moves in particular that you where interested in? 🎥🛼
@@mellow_moves Ahh, I can't wait! But take your time, I understand :) I know whatever you create will be GREAT! Right now, I am trying to learn manuals and dribbles ...if you have any tips - please share :) Keep up the GREAT WORK!
Very detailed. Thank you! I used to skate back in the day but started back this April. I am getting very confidant with my skating. I don’t take unnecessary risks. I love this because no social media just music and skating. ❤❤❤🫶🏻🛼🛼
Enjoyed Hsiao and what she had to teach us. I do suggest that in future vids to keep in mind that for many of us it's so much easier to learn the moves if you have your back to us for part of the teaching segment so that we can match your moves.. Mirroring moves is harder for me to learn. Thanks...
That’s a very good point. l will incorporate some shots with backs to the camera into future tutorial videos. I’m trying to improve the videos as I go so feedback like this is always appreciated 🙏🏽 🎥🛼
Thanks for letting me know the proper name for this move 🙌🏽 These skate moves seem to travel across countries and pick up lots of different names along the way! 🛼 🌍
🥇🤴🏼👸🏻 Well, another great video in the series all the moves I ‘m going to have to learn and master. Loved the way each move was broken down by foot position body weight and excellent graphics which is key for me to to grasp anything. Great music, vibe and energy and I can see you enjoyed making it as it was a joy to watch 😊 🔥🙏🏿
Thanks for the feedback 🙌🏽 I slightly upgraded my graphics since the last video and I’m getting a bit more ambitious with the animations. I’m new to animation so I’m pretty slow but it’s an enjoyable process. And yes really enjoyed making it, that’s a key element in me doing these videos and something I want to maintain as I make more 🎥 ✨
what an awesome video - I can't believe I only just found you. This was such a pleasure to watch with the collaboration, the sound and picture quality and the animations were all so on point!
Thank you for the feedback 😊 great to hear that you enjoyed the video. It’s been so much fun to start collaborating with skaters who I admire. Will hopefully be making a lot more of these 🎥🛼✨
Thanks! Glad you like the animations too, they take ages to make but I'm getting lots of good feedback on them so I'll keep them going in future tutorials ✨
Omg as a 1 yr old skater, your content is so clear and concise and the graphics are so helpful and the editing is so good!! I love the skate stats!! That’s so cool!! Pls pls pls more videos like this! You’re doing amazing!!! #newsubbie
Hey, thanks. It's really great to hear that these videos are useful and inspirational for newer skaters. There wasn’t much on here when I got into skating and I always said when I get confident I will make some skate tutorials and a few years later here I am! I have a background in filmmaking and graphic design so it's been so great to mix all of these things. I'm new to animation but starting to find my flow with it now, although still does take me a while 😅
Yeah, this is one of my favourite videos, too 🙌🏽 Hopefully, I'll be doing more in this format very soon. I especially enjoy making these as I also get to learn some new moves 🛼 🎥
Thank you! Glad you’re enjoying them and yes get into jam skating. It’s so much fun and there’s always something new to learn! I’ll be doing some more videos including foundational moves and techniques and maybe there is jam skate group near you? Small skate communities are popping up everywhere these days 🌎🛼✨
thank you so much for this valuable content! I discovered the channel today at a friend's recommendation and have seen several of your videos. SO amazingly good!!
Thank you. Glad you're enjoying the videos. I've really enjoyed making them, and I'm planning to make some more tutorials like this with guest skaters very soon 🙂 🛼 🎥
Your timing is perfect. I’m on my jam skate chapter of my skate journey and I can’t begin to tell you how informative and well done your videos are. Any chance we can get some counts with these moves? I have a dance background and it’s helpful to know where my feet are supposed to be on what count. Just a thought, thanks for the content.
Thank you and welcome to jam skating 🙌🏽 It’s an incredible journey and there is always something to learn. Great point about the count and thanks for the nudge! I will definitely add in some sections that Include a count. I know learning moves from videos can be tricky so I’m always up for adding and developing elements that can help.
I haven't been able to skate anymore for some time cause of some unlucky health stuff but I've been wanting to try skating around the house as I get my strength back as a small place to start, and dance skating seems like a great way to have fun and keep learning things and making progress when I'm not up for going back to skate parks yet!! I wonder how these moves work on inline skates...
It could be a great way to continue/get back into skating. You can do many of the dance skate moves in a small space. The balancing points on inlines differ due to the differences in edges, but lots of moves still transfer. I skated inlines in the past and was surprised with how much I could do on both, although I’m mainly on my quad skates at the minute.
Nice video..one thing..stop looking down at your feet..You head needs to be moving to lead your body, and you need to see exactly where you're going..That will help the skating and keep you safe in the rink..
This is such a high quality well made video! I really appreciate the extra technical details you include with the graphics of the skates and edges. I look forward to seeing more!!
