a lot of people don't seem to understand the themes of the entire series.
one of those themes is that Rocky is just a tough kid off the streets and although Mick is his initial trainer, it is Creed that is his mentor in becoming a world champion competitive boxer.
Creed mentors him in the same way that all real-time mentors work.......both the good and the bad. We learn from our mentors, not just to be a clone but to learn their lessons.
Creed is incredibly successful and a professional in the business world as well (something Rocky never learns) but Creed cannot get past being retired and no longer a warrior.
This is how Creed WANTS to go out..... in the ring, not sitting on a porch in a rocking chair.
Does Rocky learn this last life lesson from his mentor, Apollo Creed? Can Rocky let go of the limelight and the fame and let go of being a warrior in the ring, listening to the cheers of the crowd??

Hey there, are you going to be doing a reaction to the rocky vs. drago ultimate directors cut which will be available for streaming in November? That would be cool. I think the 4th is my favorite in the whole series with 3 being a close second. There's also a workprint of rocky 5 on the net, much better than the official version.
