Almost 15 years ago, my Dad was suffering with pancreatic cancer. David Baldacci was his favorite author. My Mom contacted him and told him how much my Dad loved his books. He wrote my Dad a letter and sent several autographed books. Dad passed away soon after (2/14/2009, 51 years old), so anytime I see one of his books, I remember how happy he was that day ❤️❤️❤️ If you want to try one of his books, The Winner is really good!
I'm so sorry to hear about your dad ♥(my dad also passed in his early 50's) And what a cool gift David Baldacci was able to give him. 😌 Now that I have quite the David B. collection, I think I might need to give one of his books a read in honor of his kindness and of your dad ☺💕
this sounds so fun in theory haha sorry it didn’t work out 😪 this is exactly how I felt with the one blind date with a book I’ve bought LOL it always feels like books nobody else wanted to read
Danielle Steel is actually a pretty good author. I saw Granny Dan in your box and I really enjoyed that one. She writes mostly contemporary fiction and historical fiction. My favorite of hers is No Greater Love. It’s a story from when the Titanic sank.
Contemporary & historical fiction are definitely not genres I typically gravitate to, But now that I have 5 of her books, I might as well give one a shot! 😋📚✨
This has actually not gone as bad as I thought, I was personally expecting to see some dusty science books from the 60ties, that you can hardly read and have a lot of no longer accurate info in them. But at the same time, those were definitely someone's aunt and uncle books. I can't explain it but they look like the books that would have a lot of sexism in them D:
😂😂I knew I would be safe from dusty crusty science books, because the majority of the books in the store were in good condition and the box was in the fiction section...BUT yea...definitely not the treasure trove I was hoping for 😅 lol
I'm definitely interested in the Mary Higgins book, and I might as well try at least one of the Danielle Steel novels. She's such a popular author, but I've never read anything from her, so we'll see! ☺
@@kathleenmulvihill7801 Great minds think alike!! I've already scoped out a few free libraries to drop some of these books off in! lol I wasn't planning on filming it, but that could be fun! 😄
That is so my luck with mystery boxes. I bought a few from Michael's craft store a couple years ago and didn't get anything I would use. 😂 You could sell them and try to make your money back.
9 times out of 10 mystery bags/ boxes aren't worth it for me...but I can't resist! 😬😂 Thankfully it was only $25, so I'm not too worried about it. I got a fun video out of it and now my local free libraries will be fully stocked! lol ☺📚✨
This is a good experience, even if it’s a fail. Mary Higgins Clark wrote mystery/thriller, while I think of Danielle Steel as a romance/women’s fiction writer. I would definitely enjoy a LFL video in the future. TFS!
I was kinda thinking it sounds too good to be true a whole box full of hardcovers for 25 that being said i would also fall for it... 😂😂 Still an amazing upload! 😊
These are mostly best selling authors, they are just older (like me, and probably why I recognize them). Older books still have something to offer even though you won’t see them on TikTok and the covers aren’t as cool as the newer books. Didn’t anyone tell you not to judge a book by its cover? lol You should at least give them a try.
Well if u just unboxing it that has no meaning u cant tell if it worth it or not , how about u unbox the books then read it and decide if it was worth it
I have a pretty good idea of what types of book I like, and unfortunately for me this box didn't really have that. But I donated some and put others in little free libraries so others could enjoy them! ☺️

@@jenseereads I need to read his stuff too ❤

I've gotten a couple *fail* blind dates w/ books too...idk why I thought this would be different 😂 🥴

Oh wow! David Baldacci books are really good. Especially the Amos Decker series. Loved those ones xx 😁👍
The feral urge to want you to read these for a reading challenge/vlog 💀💀
Hahaha, honestly I thought about it...I'm just not sure they are interesting enough 😅
Awh that’s too bad but hey you took a chance 🤷♀️ Mary Higgins Clark and Danielle Steel are probably the best ones!!
I'm definitely interested in the Mary Higgins book, and I might as well try at least one of the Danielle Steel novels. She's such a popular author, but I've never read anything from her, so we'll see! ☺
@@jenseereads you could make a video filling up The Little Free Libraries in your area with the rest of the books!! 😊

It was definitely fun to film/ open regardless of the outcome! ☺📦✨
This is how I feel whenever I buy a box off The Book Bundler. Idea is fun, but reality sucks when the box is a flop. 😂
I knew they weren't all going to be winners...but I was hoping for at least a couple..and a little more variety LOL 🙃
Granny Dan is one of my favorite books. There could have out different authors instead of so many on one author.
This was such a fun video😄🤩
Thank you! 😄📦✨
Ahahaha omgg. It sounded almost too good to be true 😂
I definitely want to read the fbi David Baldacci books. Adds to tbr lol 😅
At least you have books to donate now or go to free little libraries lmao
I'll definitely be stopping by some free libraries for sure! lol
I got a 2nd and Charles near me and they don’t got this 😭😭 hope you enjoy!!!
These are the types of books you see in the dollar store book section

Haha thank you ☺️ I should have known, but the temptation was too strong lol 😅

Love Baldacci
that's pretty sad... but at least you tried
haha, yea I was definitely hoping for a better bunch 😅, but it was fun either way 🙃
have your partner read those top books first 😆
I don't think he's even interested 😂

@ yeah it a suggestion if you gonna do another video like this
