It's hilarious that you mentioned The Raven Cycle because right now I am so sick with basically the same problems as you, and i just started reading The Raven Boys for the first time. Who knew it came out 11 years ago 😂 Anyway I'm about half way through, and very much enjoying it.
I agree with absolutely everything you said about the IC book. Art printed on hardcovers is so stunning, when done well, like it was here. I prefer it to the typical foiled lettering and designs. I loved the OC edition, too, and I’ll also be holding onto both. Most important, I’ve read it and really enjoyed it! OC did a great job designing this book. It’s so pretty, but it doesn’t match the tone of the story at all. Very odd design choices. Feel better soon!

Starling House was a really good read! First time I wished I got Owlcrate adult subscription, but maybe I can find a copy of either OC or Illumicrate's versions on Pango. Thanks for sharing these; hope you're feeling better soon!
Oh did Fairyloot ever address the fact that the Gideon book ends were wrong? Just wondering if they offered anything to make up for it/addressed it in anyway?

As much as scented things can be nice I have asthma, eczema, hay fever and allergies so most things cause me to react in one way or another which is such a shame as they smell lovely but most of these boxes don’t really think about us sensitive people. Would be nice if every now and again they did no scents or alternative gift for those with sensitivities/allergies. Take care
LitJoy has done a few of those book vases and I think they have one in their store on sale now and a book mug in the Lunacorns store. It looks like the book vase but with a handle. I’m really annoyed with them right now because literally everything is being sent late. The last Magical crate, special edition sets and singular special edition books. I have several things that I’m waiting to get from them. Not a happy camper.
And that is why I quit getting LitJoy stuff. They went from being one of the most reliable book box companies to one of the worst. They always have a million excuses and send stuff late.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that doesn't like the art on some of these book box covers. People act like Michaelangelo drew them, but they can be so bad.

I HATE the Fairyloot sword catcher cover. It’s the ugliest cover. It would have been okay on the end pages but as a cover it looks so cheap
