Aside the elevator shaft full of LSTRs. How is Adler responsible for the deaths of many Replikas? The plague that took over Sierpinski was it own thing and he could only manage over the the station with dwindling manpower. It is arguable that he is partially responsible for the torture and negligent deaths of political dissents to the nation, but he is a machine designed to fulfil the nation's aims. I would argue Adler could make use of the 'just following orders' argument seeing that he was quite literally designed to do so. Perhaps I just haven't read all of the logs about him or something, but I just got the sense that all this was thrust upon him and all he ever really wanted was to be with Falke. Unless everything that happened on the Sierpinski was just a dream sequence or whatever, I can hardly tell with this game.

How could Ariane be on Rotfront, one of the main colonies, when she departed on a literal suicide mission to find new worlds to inhabit? Plus, the Primrose in the beginning is covered in snow, and by the end it’s in the middle of a desert, could be that it’s just a vision of said ship, but what’s really there we’ll never know.
It's a really neat detail that all people who are neutral or allied to you have their names in blue, yet Adler has his name in YELLOW. True horror of Adler is realizing he too, made a promise. One he is just as determined to keep. He needs you to get frustrated, to give up, or die; that is the only way Falke can ever return to normal. For her destiny and yours to untangle.
I feel his quest is much more hopeless in that sense. The Elster in Falke will not dissapear, but she is also not the one meant to fulfill the promise. All Falke has that can free her IS death - when Adler says 'youve changed' , its him accepting that his commander will never return to him. Realising this could've been his freedom - but his dedication to ending the loop instead took over. Never truly free, even when he no longer wears a mask.
Honestly that's why I see the 'Leave' ending as the canon one, Elster there accepts to let go and find some peace in dying, for real, and as a result Falke gets to die for real, and Adler gets to die too.

kind of unfitting but lol when i first found out about signalis youtube started to show me some reels that i cunningly avoided as to not get any spoilers and among the first of these reels was one that showed slightly cropped adler’s side profile on its thumbnail and as i knew already that the game was about lesbians and didn’t know anything about adler i saw the slicked back hair and remebered the slicked buns of women in military and thought “omg there is a military female character in there! pretty sure she will be the lesbian in the game” and then i forgot about this thought almost immediately and then i… watched the actual game 💀💀💀 ah yea adler one of our favorite lesbians
