- Every climbing reward comes at the cost of a potential risk, but when you are a climbing pioneer, driven by the unknown and unexpected, you are willing to risk whatever it takes for the chance to find the perfect first ascent line. This is a story of exploration and discovery, a journey of friendship and solitude, a quest to fuel an obsessive passion. Starring Paul Robinson, Jimmy Webb, Daniel Woods, Chris Sharma and Niky Ceria.
We are proud to now offer the full film free of charge to everyone!

where is hell's gate? asking for a friend
please please please paul baby
Great movie, beautiful images, nice job Mr Robinson and crew! Thanks!
Loved the first bit. Really inspiring.
The zimbabwe segment tho.. felt rough. Beautiful place, but it felt so corny to me. From calling a makeshift coffee filter a "ghetto filter" to talking about how you want to find new climbs so that everybody praises you. It just had this air of ignorance about it.
woooeeeiii !!!
18:10 for ultimate Jimbo moment!
"Let's go climb all over the remains of our ancestors"
Bro really put Daniel Woods sending v16 to Mumford and Sons
Instant classic, personally inspiring, stacked crew, great footage, location, and music, superb job!
I bought this back in 2015 when you produced it or maybe it was 2016. Thank you for bringing me stoke with minimal glorification to pros and maximum glorification to development!
thanks for the support! it means a lot.
So you did see that this was released! Good times watching it with you back in the day
Absolute legend, thank you for the content
thanks for the support!
Adventure outdoorsy film vibe >>> skater film vibe
thanks!
glad you enjoyed the film!
Always instantly clicking when I see a new video from you! So well produced and great to watch 🙂
thanks! means a lot
Paul: I don't want to say you are now a better videographer than climber, but that was a V17 movie.
hahah!!! thank you I appreciate it
thanks paul, everyone who watches appreciates the time and effort to make this ✌🏼
thank you!
Really enjoyed this! As an arkansas guy really was hoping to see footage of the new chapter oh well. Thanks again!
That footage is somewhere... I need to find it on one of my hard drives!
@@paulrobinson87 Would love to see that thank you!
12 minutes in and i feel honestly slightly annoyed by how confusing everything is, also the music, sound effects… definitely not a fan so far. I‘m an idiot so take this feedback with a grain of salt.
Paul, thank you for sharing this content. Is there a way for you to enable the auto-caption on as I'd need the accessibility to get the full comprehension of these dialogues? Again, you rock!
you must be quite rich to travel like this, no? It always seems so easy in those videos but impossible in real life.. am i doing something wrong?
Thank you for the video. I'm not a strong climber by any means, but that feeling you get when trying new routes is priceless. Going where there's no book and wondering, "can I climb that?" That kind of exploration and creativity just isn't common in the modern world. I think it gives me a feeling of what our ancestors used to feel. It's amazing. Thanks again. You guys are awesome as fuck.
I would love to try Hell's Gate sometime. It looks epic! Does anyone know where in Chattanooga this climb is?
How does this work? If there isn’t a place to hold on to do they crave one and do they mark the path going up? Also why don’t they show coming down?
Chris asked for spotters' attention on his flash attempt on Unnamed v12 but they looked away on his next try lol
Your cover photo is literally showing an ancient destroyed building. Doorway and everything
Man, this was so well put together. Amazing climbing, great editing and a wonderful story. I truly enjoyed this. Thank you!!
Thanks!! Really appreciate it
Oh my! This I will savour for a moment when I know I will be undisturbed for the whole hour :) Thanks a lot Paul!
enjoy! thanks for checking it out
Muito bom o filme! Galera precisa fazer mais filmes assim!! Só a trilha sonora que ficou meio ruim...abraço!!
thep roblem with zimbabwe is the politics ,the problem with south africa is the danger .
I'm not real comfortable, with the no line thing. Bro you got a broken neck wish.
man truly one of the most beautiful climbing videos i have ever seen! Like thats what climbing is all about, going out, climb as hard as you can, be one with nature and just enjoying the damn line!
your a true inspiration!

There's nothing worse then thinking you found gold on Google maps and then you find out it's choss when you make it out there.
haha agreed!
57:11 "What's that thing on your back?" ...I explain... "Oh I see. but what if you fall on your front?" ...further explanation required...
Even here in Switzerland, where the climbing community is BIG, I get asked multiple times on every outing. On the bright side, it means that bouldering hasn't gone mainstream enough that all my favourite spots are crowded. Company can be wonderful, but often I prefer to enjoy the solitude of the forest and my project.
Excellent video! Really inspiring vibe.
I think I still have the DVD somewhere, good excuse to rewatch it! Good to see things like these up on youtube instead of slowly being forgotten about. If only someone would get Progression (from 2008 ish?) up on here. Still my favourite of all time.
I wanna be the heavy set, blue collar version of Paul Robinson(and climb 1/2 as hard). These guys are truly living the dream
This is crazy because I just moved to Alabama and I absolutely love it here. There is climbing everywhere. Even in peoples back yards. There’s a house near my job with probably 15 climbable boulders and they have never been touched.
Wow, Paul. Great film. Really well done.
Thanks!
I have missed this type of feature length film. Thank you for bringing it back!
Thank you so much for posting this banger of a film for free!
thanks for watching! enjoy the film
Wow kings of contortion had some of the craziest technical footwork I have ever seen. I’m no pro, but I have watched a LOT of rock climbing and that one really stood out to me. Impressive. How long did he spend projecting that before the send?
Niky Cheria is a legend. His king line bit at 12:06 is fantastic
he is an awesome person!
someone tell jimmy to come to the u.p
Makes me wanna go boulder
You are living my dream.
Ive been climbing for 25 plus years. Washed up east coater like yourself. This is probably the best climbing movie ever
Nice soundtrack to boot
Classic is defined as “best of its kind”. You certainly hit that definition here Paul. You really should bring your crew up to southern interior British Columbia😉
New Aggros...nice :)
Thank you soooo much for this! You are the MAN!!!
thanks! appreciate it
Probably one of the best climbing films I have seen. Really enjoyed it and actually took a break about halfway through to really focus on the climbing and the beautiful scenery.
Thanks for this gem!
Amazing.... so so amazing. agree. will become an all time classic film. Respect to all.
Inspiration!!
Super dope!!

Amazing climbing 💪🏻 Maybe untalented kind question, but what is the name of the classical guitar composition around 20th minute? 😊
All music is listed in the credits :)
Such a great compilation! Thank you for sharing!
