Alan Millyard is so unassuming so modest so softly spoken, his little shed creations speak volumes and leave you amazed, good old blighty engineering from unrestrained minds, 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I love and miss 2-Strokes!!! Sunday morning and the smell of 2 stroke with a little wet dirt/mud burning in the exhaust. The best! Good times. Memories.
@@cosmyccowboy My pops bought one new in '75 and almost died on it. Power wasn't a problem. Many of them triples were some of the worst handling bikes ever built. That goofy Suzuki 750cc with the covered cylinder head fins. Deathtraps.
I ordered a window maker in 1969..After a 3 month wait I received a phone call telling me my Red 1970 Kawasaki 500cc Mach lll had been delivered to the dealer. I paid a total of $1104.00 for the motorcycle. tax,lic included .I worked on a farm after school for $1.50 a hour No tax, just SS being it was farm labor. I thought I was rich, working 60 -70 hours a week while in going to HS .The bike was a engineering marvel, lifting the front wheel in all 3 gears, though it lacked the needed suspension and brakes to consider it a true super bike. But wow, what a amazing experience.
Nice and a SWEET Yamaha RD Brother, I had one back in my young days, but yours is absolutely SWeet, Your Yamaha with those Chambers is the baddest RD i have ever seen, I wish i had your Bike it's very nice
7:40 I was wondering that that sounds very familiar hmmm....great bike, I own one. It's my moms bike that she bought in 1988 and now I daily it. Nowadays these RX100's, RX135's and RD350's have gotten insanely popular here in India, and the RX100's are admired by literally everyone in India. These bikes are very popular among drag racers here too...

Legend has it, this guy is still sitting there in his wheelchair.. reving that thing every half a second.
That would 100 percent be me if I couldn't walk
The 750 was bad ass

Back in the 70’s lots of guys rode the 2 stroke street bikes. The Yamaha 350 RD , Kawasaki 500 and 750, Suzuki 500 etc
@ you can’t sell a new 2 stroke motorcycle in 2024 and get a tag for it, if you want to ride one on the streets it’ll have to be from the 70’s
'75 Yamaha RD350 was actually the fastest production motorcycle in the U.S. that year.
@ Hoyt who ran the local Yamaha shop here in my small town had one he made into a drag bike, that thing was lighting fast!

4 × 250cc 2stroke powa!
What an awsome custom build this man is a boss builder! This is an absolutely insane 2stroke custom build.
Millyard is the King. All done in a shed, no fancy workshop. He's done a load of others.
2 Strokes never die they just get re-born.

Not a fan of the seizure strokes! But I did have a buddy who maxed out a gt750 with Ocelot chambers and GP port work.. what a beast!

My first proper bike was an RD350LC2. It was hilarious. I used to stink of 2 stroke fumes😁

6:55 throttle=doesnt start, 7:05 no throttle=starts instantly.
Thats how you start 2-strokes ;)
They sold the RD-500 on Canada and Europe. The frames were heavy and did not handle real great. That R6 Frame is very nice.

Ken has built a very cool RD500. Ken's Garage is a cool place to visit.😅
I had an RG500 Suzuki square 4 rotary valve 2 stroke, which I just finally sold. This one was fully modified by Rick Lance!
