NYGIANTS355 overall between all modern production muscle cars, I agree.(Hellcats a close second) But in terms of the standard trims the chally looks the best.
Agreed! I love it when people compare the Camaro and Mustang to the Dodge Challenger and Charger. They're muscle gt cars. I guarantee none of those owners have gone 150 plus in those cars with 5 adults in them :)
When I watched this video two years ago, it gave me the push I needed to go ahead and buy a 2019 Challenger Hellcat Wide-body. It is my everyday driver and I have put almost 46,000 miles on her. I could have not made a better choice for performance in reliability. Thank you Matt Maran... I can still feel your enthusiasm.
The Hellcat is insane and i am going to buy one this summer. It is the most impressive and as said best looking american muscle car ever. Greetings from Germany!
@@Kad3Fr Oh yes - i´ve bought a blue widebody version with a black hood and i absolutley love the car. It is a beast The only thing i`ve changed is the suspension to a "KW - Variante 4" which is way better!

Love the look of this thing. Those wide fenders suit the Challenger so well. I really hope that the next Challenger is more sorted. Retain the aggressive classic muscle car look while on a better handling chassis, less weight, maybe smaller size, better interior quality, and the same engines and trans. I'd love to have one
Let's consider the "handling" of this Dodge.🤔 What is a "good handling car"? A 2016 Camaro SS? Sure is! Lateral g is 0.96 according to Motor Trend. The 2018 Hellcat Widebody? (Drum roll...) *O.97* lateral g according to Road & Track.😮 Wha...??? Yes. The SRT simply has more capability than most drivers have nerve. The size of the SRTs messes with your mind, but handling is fine!👍
The Hellcat pulls more G's in a corner, but the Camaro and Mustang are able to change direction quicker, just because they're lighter. With the Challenger, you have to really be precise in controlling the weight transfer, more so than its rivals. That said, I'd have a Challenger over a Camaro or Mustang any day. If you were just buying a car for track driving, you won't be looking at a muscle car anyway.
@@jordanbell4420 that's a great way to put it, I hate when people bring corners into a Muscle car conversation, like who in their right mind buys a muscle car for track use? If they like corners so much why not buy an M2 or a Z4?

I find it hard to find something not to love about his car but i feel the keys could be made from a higher quality material instead of that plastic and I also feel that the leather quality could be raised just a little but. With the leather, it looks more like vinyl then leather I wish they would step it up a bit. Other then that, Im just knit-picking and this is an amazing car
The hellcat logo next to all the exterior SRT badges is a good new feature, the non widebody hellcats need that, idk if the new ones will but they probably will
That's a safety corridor you're driving in. Automatic 2x fine. The state police troll that stretch of road all the time looking for revenue. You could haul ass on back roads in that area by going up sleepy hollow and coming back out in Troutdale or Ten Eyck.
I really hope before the Challenger/Chargers go to the Alfa (or the Ghibli) platform, that the Charger is able to have a Demon and a widebody Hellcat treatment. May be more unlikely to happen due to the fact that that's the more practical version of the two, but would still be nice to see it happen.
Also I hope when the two get the redesign, that they still stick to the old school design. I'd love to see the new Challengers go for kinda the 72-74 look. And of course it won't happen but the Charger deserves a 2 door design haha. Or at least a 2 door option would be nice.
Having just watched your 2017 ZL1 Camaro & Yenko camaro drives, I see a big difference in your reaction. I noticed that the blown Chevies elicited more shriek & giggle than this Hellcat. There also seemed to be excessive exhaust drone - so much so that I couldn't hear your commentary.

Sounds like theres not much difference between the SRT 392 and the hellcat set up. So my question is could the SRT 392 Handle a supercharger up to 800 horsepower bolt on after market?
on most cars, a wide body flared fender look is simply stupid, but not here. it adds tremendously to the car. at the standard width, it seemed undersized with its standard 275 tires. a mean looking vehicles, that not only looks the part, but also performs and has all kinds of insane power and performance.

I've gotta agree with Matt. The muscle cars of today are going with a more futuristic look, and it's partially ruining it (at least for me).
