I LOOOVED your thoughts on Northlane. They have been one of my favorite bands for years. They used to be heavier with a more aggressive sound. They changed vocalists and the new guy is a phenomenal singer. Even though they got a little softer and more melodic they kept the same overall sound and "vibe" if you will. A mildly technical rhythmic feel, low rhythmic guitar parts with an incorporation of lead guitar ambience and an undeniably catchy vocal section. This band is well developed and I'm glad you liked them. Everything they have ever released is an absolute banger.
Northlane Dispossession , transcending dimmensions, I shook hands with death. Genisis/scarab, quantum flux For more fast paced more higher BPM type metalcore (first two albums) with their original vocalist. No clean vocals Colorwave, heartmachine, intuition, Soma, Obelisk, Rot for more this style, groovier, clean singing, more melodic. Northlane has been a top faveof mine for years and definitely a band that has had significant changes. It would be interesting to see your opinions on the changes and what you like/don't like about it
For a metal core song this has got potential, I'd gladly admit. But damn it, time to check out: Omnium Gatherum (brutal and epic melo-death) - The Unknowing and Dark Tranquility (rather melancholic, dark melo-death) - Lost To Apathy !! ;)
Im only here 4 years later because this is my absolute favorite song at the moment and northlane is one of my favorite bands that I was just introduced to
Bloody hell! Found your channel last week while checking bands for a festival and you got already 1000 new subs in the meanwhile! Good.. good.. feel the subs flow through you! Awesome stuff, hope you have as much fun making these videos as it looks like. Keep it up!
You should check out either VOLA - Stray The Skies or Voyager - Ghost Mile. VOLA is modern metal in the style of Meshuggah but clean vocals and very great pop melodies, Voyager is a great band with same kind of melodic sophistication and some djent influences also.
Bass Openings are a great way to introduce the listener to the tempo of the song before the drop and before the song really gets rolling. Mudvayne was famous for that.
From Northlane I think you should try these songs : - Worldeater - Quantum Flux - Dispossession - Aspire - Genesis / Scarab - Solitude Pretty heavy songs, brutal breakdowns (especially on Worldeater), deep growls...
Some suggestions: Twelve Foot Ninja - One Hand Killing (I'd say the video is much funnier than Coming For You) Ever Forthright - Lost in Our Escape (Quite technical and melodic) Novelists - Souvenirs (I'd say their style is a bit similar to Northlane) And if you're okay with something different: Dance Gavin Dance - Death of the Robot with Human Hair (Post-Hardcore with a lot of "I don't see that coming" moments)
I know you've done a few Maximum the Hormone songs already but I think you'd have a great reaction to their song "F", especially if you do a video that provides the English translation.
they got a new vocalist a couple years ago. they used to be way heavier!! check out: genesis and scarab by northlane or an even older song thats sick is called dispossesion! check em out!!
Check out Dispossession or Transcending Dimensions by them (older heavier tracks) Also another great melodic metal song to check out is The Contortionist - Intuition
So since we're on the "melodic metalcore Australian band" train now, you should react to SAVIOUR man!!!! Some seriously good material there. They just got back after a breakup to release a new album which is fuckin stellar! It'd be awesome if you checked out 'Morning' from their previous album, and follow it up with a new song from them, April. Their new album has a much more mellow tone which is refreshing because their older stuff is pretty gritty and hard
Don't listen to the hoards of whingers mate. I find you like very similar style of music to me, that being a melodic version with nice cleans as well. Northlanes newest album Mesmer is great for that style of music. You will always have the people that can never move on and want guys like this to stay living in the past and play music like they did when they were 18 years old but peoples taste evolve. Marcus does a great job on vocals for northlane. check out their latest album Mesmer.... you wont be disappointed
checkout out another Australian band Tensions Arise. Their clip for the song Darkness Binds is alot of fun. They aren't well known but work hard and a very good at what they do.
KookiMonsta in all honesty older has better meaning the new guy is more trying to be angsty anti government not very appealing to me but i mean thats your opinion if you for some reason like there new stuff
If you wanna hear some more "exotic" then try out the Band "Drescher" from Austria . Song "First Blood" . They mix Metal with traditionale Instruments (accordion)Thx and keep banging!. Greetings from Austria .
I know this is old BUT these guys rock and are super groovy which I've noticed you really appreciate. This song is definitely one of they're more clean filled songs. The VERY next song on the album colorwave might be more of a liking a little heavier and more screaming still with. They have a lot heavier songs and this vocalist is not they're original vocalist and the music styling might be a little more on your preconceived notions you had about the band. and everyone has they're preference on which northlane was a better northlane but they both bring great variety
Check out the band Kalmah. Kings of Melodic Death metal. They have too many good songs to list you one, but I recommend listening to these few and maybe do a reaction/review on your favourite one. songs: One Of Fail, Godeye, Heritance of Berija, Suodeth, Burbot's Revenge, etc.

For a metal core song this has got potential, I'd gladly admit.

Northlane has a lot of amazing music, on this album and on their older albums, they have really beautiful and really heavy music . Great band.
You should check out either VOLA - Stray The Skies or Voyager - Ghost Mile. VOLA is modern metal in the style of Meshuggah but clean vocals and very great pop melodies, Voyager is a great band with same kind of melodic sophistication and some djent influences also.

Morgan from Sevendust talk about this band in a interview and i search...love it
I have a recommendation. How about listening to See Hell by Agent Fresco? They have a pretty unique sound to them
Bass Openings are a great way to introduce the listener to the tempo of the song before the drop and before the song really gets rolling. Mudvayne was famous for that.
From Northlane I think you should try these songs :
- Worldeater
- Quantum Flux
- Dispossession
- Aspire
- Genesis / Scarab
- Solitude
Pretty heavy songs, brutal breakdowns (especially on Worldeater), deep growls...

Northlane - Dream Awake gets my vote. Anything from Singularity. Rot and Ra from Node are good too.
Some suggestions:
Twelve Foot Ninja - One Hand Killing (I'd say the video is much funnier than Coming For You)
Ever Forthright - Lost in Our Escape (Quite technical and melodic)
Novelists - Souvenirs (I'd say their style is a bit similar to Northlane)
And if you're okay with something different:
Dance Gavin Dance - Death of the Robot with Human Hair (Post-Hardcore with a lot of "I don't see that coming" moments)
Check out Ocean Ate Alaska! Either "Vultures And Sharks" or "Blood Brothers" (maybe "HighHorse")!

So since we're on the "melodic metalcore Australian band" train now, you should react to SAVIOUR man!!!! Some seriously good material there. Northlane is pretty good. I think you would like Fit For A King. Have they are heavier but have the same style of clean and screaming vocals

If you wanna hear some more "exotic" then try out the Band "Drescher" from Austria . Song "First Blood" . They mix Metal with traditionale Instruments (accordion)Thx and keep banging!. Greetings from Austria .
For Northlane try Abrasumente, Quantum Flux or Dream Awake!
All of their albums are good.
Try Desire by Home Sweet Home for some much lesser known and unique metal
I know this is old BUT these guys rock and are super groovy which I've noticed you really appreciate. This song is definitely one of they're more clean filled songs. The VERY next song on the album colorwave might be more of a liking a little heavier and more screaming still with.
