    Thank you for sharing this master class. Your Rock Thomas. With each update I am growing more and more impressed by Notion's growing capabilities. One thing though that seems to always bring me back to Excel is not being able to reference Table Sums (or other aggregate calculations) into another table for summaries .etc. I wish they fix that. Currently I have to do workarounds where I make Joiner Table for two one-to-many tables and aggregate their records.

      Yep, this is one of my most-requested features as well. I wish Notion would give us a full-fledged query system that can be used anywhere, like Coda has.

    5:26 regarding the "random distribution of colors", you can actually change that. View Options ==> More Style Options ==> Colorr by value.

    I'm wondering if you would ever consider doing a walkthrough of examples of how you use your Ultimate Brain system? It helps me tremendously to see how others use a tool like that. Especially around projects. Like a beginning to end walkthrough of your process for doing a video. or some other kind of project that has multiple steps and milestones.

    As always great video! Is there a way to have a formula between the first day of the month and now? So it will show accurate information on a monthly basis?

    • @ThomasFrankExplains
      @ThomasFrankExplains  2 месяца назад +1

      Yep! Here's how you could get the first day of the month:
      prop("Date").dateSubtract(date(prop("Date")) - 1, "days")
      From there, you could use dateBetween the Date property on your records and that value to get a difference.
      Though you could also just do prop("Date").date() to get the numeric day of the month, then create a chart with that value as the x-axis.

    I doubt it's a game-changer due to limited free-version capabilities, but thank you for the video.

    • @ThomasFrankExplains
      @ThomasFrankExplains  2 месяца назад +3

      For folks on paid accounts who have been fiddling with mostly-broken 3rd party chart tools for years, it's a game-changer indeed.
      I do my best to mostly cover things that can be done for free on this channel, but it's worth noting that many teams and companies use Notion, pay for it, and are looking for feature-coverage and tutorials!

    are u gonna upgrade Second Brain with charts?

    • @ThomasFrankExplains
      @ThomasFrankExplains  2 месяца назад +3

      I'll add videos to our tutorials on how you can add your own charts, but since Notion's free plan only supports one chart, I likely won't include them directly in the template. Otherwise, it'd require people to upgrade to a paid plan to use the template, which I feel isn't necessary for many people.
      That said, a new version of Ultimate Brain is launching soon with a ton of new features 😉
