Definitely a memory I forgot I had 😂
When you were trying to pop it was the best part of this video. Your contagious smile while you finally got to work on a project again was a close second. Lovely
4:00 in my area when people move, they post on the local Facebook group to see if anyone has or needs boxes. Stuff gets passed down rather than bought new and/or wasted. There's a lot of cardboard boxes you can get free from businesses too. So before you toss things in the recycling, you could see if that's an option for you! Fun idea to make a dress! It's so fun and poofy. 13:25 reminds me of the Finnish song "Pomppufiilis" by Munamies. You should RUclips it if you haven't already!
Can’t believe when I found you, you only had 3000 subscribers and now you’re almost at a million! I remember you being on the fence about going full time RUclips 😂 good for you!!! I love your content and your personality
Grippy-dot socks - I collect them for when we go to the beach with my family in the summer because 1) the rental houses always have un-carpeted main floors (due to sand) and 2) someone always cranks the air conditioning so my feet get cold. Love the "toothpaste room". Minty green is the accent in my otherwise gray kitchen.
From a person who has moved a dozen more times than I ever wanted... boxes from grocery stores: water, laundry detergent (if you can handle the scent) & egg boxes. The first 2 are heavy duty and have handles, eggs boxes are large, not heavy duty, with handles. They all make great storage boxes. 2nd recommendation: packing material. T-shirts, sheets, towels, socks, winter hats & gloves (if your climate requires them),...etc. I even wait to donate clothing until after the move... easy to sort as you are unpacking. Finally blankets, comforters, pillows, etc make good furniture protectors. Scarves to wrap add extra padding on corners, or wall hangings. Coats and pillows are also good to put between larger items so they don't rub....and newsprint!
Adding to this, if you happen to know people who work at places that do mass mailing, the paper and envelope boxes are great for moving. When I used to work in that industry, my friends always asked for boxes because they're sturdy enough for paper, designed to be easy to carry, and were all in a very consistent size, which made loading the truck more effecient.
@@blazertundra Ahhhh yes!! Boxes with lids!! Saves money on tape too!!Forgot about those! And again they are great for storage too...and they are easy to give away to others for use. The more these boxes can be used before recycling them, the smaller their footprint!

Suomiii!!
I didn't expect to find a comment about Munamies here, thank you for the laugh :D
Oh my gosh I so related to the “little kid proudly showing off their art project” emotions. It’s a mood.
I adore this atrocity. This dress has the stats of like negative a thousand stealth
I love that sweater you had on when you sat on the stairs :D
Also, an iridescent slip dress would give it that cool soap bubble shimmer!
great idea!!
read the title and genuinely laughed out loud. i'm excited to see this.
edit: oh no your red sweater with the RUFFLES is so CUTE AHH
I said the same thing!!!!
Yes, that sweater!
Can’t believe when I found you, you only had 3000 subscribers and now you’re almost at a million! I remember you being on the fence about going full time RUclips 😂 good for you!!! I love your content and your personality
Yes! I remember that first "full time on RUclips thrift with me vlog" excited for Rachel to make her dream a reality!
Rolling around on the floor popping the bubbles on your bubble wrap dress looks so therapeutic and entertaining!
This was incredible. Thank you for existing ❤️
Your property is STUNNING in the snow! So happy for you guys-as sad as it was to leave the old place, this is definitely where you were meant to be! Wishing you luck as you continue to move in and get settled ❤️ And, of course, the bubble wrap dress is amazing!
why does it look so good and normal though 😭 the talent is overwhelming
Honestly it is so fracken cute. Thank you for saving the environment and making something cute in the process. Win/win
The candle “shhh!” was honestly my favorite part. Brilliant 👌🏼
Ok, this dress is amazing!
That butt stomp though 😂😂😂 I haven't laughed that hard since the before times.
This is art, a true statement piece of consumerism, it belongs in a museum.
Your content brings our whole family so much joy! I love your creative spirit and sewing. My 8 year old (son) and 6 year old (daughter) think you are hysterical. If they hear your intro music or voice they come running.
Rachel popping a bubblewrap dress just made my life. Thank you.
This is why I was so drawn to subbing to you… I love recycling, my husband has to deal with my DIYs and my need to make his cardboard from med supplies into works of art haha.
I love this
Reminds me of how my old school used to do a "trashion show" every year that was the same idea. Sustainably thought out ways to reuse your trash. So neat 😊
This turned out so great!! My first thought was to get silver tomato cages (or anything else you can use as a wireframe) and use it as a Halloween yard decoration like the chicken wire ghost. Or hang it from a tree to blow around in the wind!
This was so deliciously silly, fun, creative and all of the wonderfully warm vibes! It was so great watching you just have fun and not really be super stressed. :) 💜
Popping a bubble wrap dress is by far the most fun thing...ever!
I love how noticeably happy and pleased you are throughout this video!! I’m so happy you’re settling in the new home and also selfishly happy to have my favorite cozy fridays/saturday activity back this week 🧡🧡
Gosh here I thought you were making a selkie dress as in the seal shape-shifting folks from mythology. Still excited! But hahaha
Same 😆
Rachel, not gunna lie, this was truly inspired.
It turned out so great.
Actually I have not the words to do the dress and you justice.
Going to watch this again many times.
Thanks for making my life more joy filled.
Cheers
Honestly one of the most enjoyable and pure content I've watched on RUclips lately. This video is blessed 🙏
The tantalising, soft focus glimpses of new house are just tooooooo much!! 🙊
Also your delighted/surprised little face every time something turns out awesome..love it so much 💞
I can see the pure joy of making the dress and being creative, and being in your new home. Congratulations 🎉
I’ve been wanting a selkie dress forever 😭 money’s tight this year so I’ll just live through you. Thanks for preventing me from making poor finances decisions Rachel!
Oh yes, even though I am a generation older than you my grandparents had theses dolls. In the UK though. Absolutely brilliant, you always managed to add cheer to the day, thank you for sharing x
Mine did too.
That urge to save the bubblewrap because otherwise it's wasteful is a mood. I like the way you did your makeup on Day Two. The dress turned out really cute!
I feel like I saw some genuine joy and childlike excitement in your expressions! Not that you don’t always have fun, it just seemed especially abundant during this project. This was a super fun project to watch!
