The first technique perfectly helps in my case to keep on intense running trainings while having posterior shin splints. I also employ pretty aggressive massage and ice therapy after each training session and pain disappears after a couple of days!
I recently used the second technique to run a pretty fast half marathon on what I thought was shin splints. Got X-ray results back a week later and found out it was actually a stress fracture just goes to show how effective this taping method is (I don’t recommend running in stress fractures under any circumstances)
Amazing..!!!!! After searching You tube for over a week and watching hundreds of clips I decided to go with the second technic and I'm so glad I did, I managed my half marathon with no pain..I would like to say a massive THANK YOU from one very happy runner
Hello, could you please tell me in more details about your experience with this taping technique? I've been dealing with this injury for couple of weeks now and got a half marathon next weekend, and I really wonder if I can finish it at least without causing the condition to get worse.
@@amlandutta7006 Hello my friend, I overcame this annoying injury a long while ago. Both taping techniques you see in this video helps A LOT once you have made certain degree of recovery. However, a highly effective (and really painful) method is a self-massage that help you to break up adhesion around tibia by using a ball (not a soft one, it should really hurt when you press on). Here I attach two videos that will help you get the logic behind it. I guarantee you that you'll be back on track even after around a week. (Please bear in mind that you take preventive measures once you get back to running -such as the taping technique shown in this video) Hope this helps you bro, take great care! ruclips.net/video/3jKJ_MDTIb4/видео.html ruclips.net/video/Ti6oxLLGeVg/видео.html
@@btugrul god bless you brother...i will apply your tips..my all friends can run freely without any pain..i was feeling helpless with this pain..i m feeling positive now..love you brother..
@@amlandutta7006 I do understand you my friend; I know how annoying it is that the injury reoccurs all the time and keeps aching... Do the self-massage exercises, and try to spot the ball on where you feel the pain most. I warn you, it will pain like hell when you put the ball and press on, but after couple of sessions, you'll be pain free. Also bear in mind that it would help a lot if you ice for 20 minutes after each massage; it takes away the irritation and bruises caused by the massage and reduces the inflammation significantly. Once you're back on track or road, apply taping and begin really slowly, always respecting 10% intensity/distance rule per week, and ice after each training session. You'll see that after a while you'll recover completely. Give it a try and keep me informed pls! All the best!
But one shouldn't rely on taping alone correct? Isn't it merely a band-aid? Or will taping allow the athlete to continue to train without adding extra stress to the bone? What happens when the taping is removed? Will the athlete be in the same pain?

We can tape the for tibial stress fractures
What is name of tap
Odd but could you use both techniques at the same time
Essentially these methods are just patch work to get the job done. They don't do anything to fix the underlying shin splints root cause
will this work for postinterior shin splints.
Tom Parker no
but you cant run with those tapping
Just did. Felt great.
