- Actor Josh Brolin reads abolitionist John Brown's words as he addresses the court in his own defense, October 5, 2005 in Los Angeles, California. Part of a reading from Voices of a People's History of the United States (Howard Zinn and Anthony Arnove.)
If I interfered... in behalf of the rich, the powerful, the intelligence or the so called great...."
It would have been alright. YEP.
I saw him do this w/ Howard Zinn in Boston a week ago. it was amazing. Brolin was just AMAZING. very talented
These Thanos speeches are getting better.
Brolin did a great job but i think David Straithairn's version because it gets across Brown's commitedness
DS’s version could’ve been straight off a stage or film, it was so good.
@@bellamaz1972 I think there is an Orson Wells version floating around that is pretty good too.
Why are they laughing?
I think they’re laughing (at least at the 2:45 portion of the vid) because certain sections of the Bible condone the act of slavery, Brown seems to have been poking fun at that hypocrisy
Josh does a great job.
Awesome
