Hey guys! Love the channel! Super helpful advice! I just wanted to let you know that at 3:45 I paused to find the virtual assistant links in the description that you mentioned but they don't seem to be there. Thanks so much for all you do! It really does make a huge difference! Plus, I finally have a millennial I can point to & say, "See! Not ALL of us are clueless!" Lol!
Where is the virtual assistant website?
Love the Tips, but personally, I wouldn't really consider selling old clothes and books you don't need/want a side hustle. These are usually things you can do only once in a certain period of time until you do the next purge of your closet/bookshelf
Yeah it only makes you a regular and significant amount of money if you are buying WAY too much stuff in the first place
Also, if you're on a college campus, look into studies that the psych department or other departments run. At my school, there's a website where you can sign up for different ones that you're qualified for and usually it's like $10/$15 for half an hour to an hour of just answering questions or something really simple. I made $7 in 15 minutes once just for playing games with a robot, which I totally would've done for free, anyway.
jellow242 what's the name of the website
jellow242 that's irrelevant. It's just a website. Wow. RUclipsrs these days.
+peaches Website?
Says you got money but don't link the sauce...pretty fishy!
In 2020 - Side job I have from the comfort of my bed is my full time job
Thanks for the feedback, send a msg to the number👆 above to reach out.
It annoys me when I see things like “sell your stuff” listed as a side hustle. I’m looking for a side gig that is sustainable. I have lots of student debt and not a lot of savings. What do I do when I’ve sold all my stuff and reduced the amount I’m spending on incoming stuff? Sell my hair? It doesn’t grow that fast . . . Maybe I should invest in vitamin supplements.
Um get more jobs, I've worked 3 jobs 7 days a week til I got hit by a vehicle while in a crosswalk.
@@wanderlustandsparkle4395 i get having 2 jobs but a third job will just be detrimental on your health. now its gonna suck.
@@asadb1990 If you eat healthy, stay physically fit, have a great mindset, and like what you do plus spread out the hours then it won't.
@@wanderlustandsparkle4395 i guess it could work but i feel burnout from my job every few days working the standard 40h a week. and another 8-12h over the weekend. so i have to take some time off for a few days at least every few months. for me the key is sure you are making money but whats the point if you get no time to spend it.
@@wanderlustandsparkle4395 oh i save as much as i make. and minimize regular expenses to stay well within budget. I dont have any debts. I just feel I need at least one dedicated day off every week. i know some people who are constantly working just for the hell of it. my dad basically cant handle being off work. if i could reduce my hours further i would. plus my side hustle is for extra saving money and safety job.
One of my best side hustles couldn't be done from bed but it was even better; I got paid to do my hobby. I love dancing but 3 classes a week at $16 each as well as shoes, comps and workshops became a big expense. So, I trained as a teacher. Not only did I get paid whenever I taught a class but got other classes for free and discounts on events such as dance socials and competitions.
Paulie Jane where did u train? i would love this!
Nice !!!!
This is the reason I'm trying to find a side thing now! I've never seen $16 dance classes though- I'm paying like 5x that for private lessons
Love this, congratulations!
Selling old clothes really isn't side hustling... you already spent unnecessary money on clothes you don't need and will probably sell them at a loss.
takeflightbirdyy yeah but I think selling gifts could be a side hustle 😂
negative mindset
Yeah maybe, I'd rather just not buy the clothes in the first place.
takeflightbirdyy money is money. Everything starts to depreciate from the moment you purchase it
They're people on Poshmark who make more than doctors selling used clothing, do not doubt it
I love this channel because y'all aren't condescending and stuck up. Y'all know what you're talking about and offer practical ways to budget. Got my sub 👍🏽
I speak English, Spanish & Swedish. Looks like being a tutor is my best bet since I love to teach! Thanks to you both 👌🏻
If you didn't come here already knowing that something is wrong.
Infinity Inc. To be fair, there are so many multilingual people and so few people capable of rapidly translating between languages. If it's a skill, you can honestly build an entire career out of it.
Daniel Reyes ¿Cómo aprendiste sueco? 😮
Do you still tutor spanish? If so how much? Im sorry for my english im not good
Hi TFD! i just had to drop this comment. I was in a financial rut for the past few months and I always find myself with 0 money or nothing left to save at the end of the month. Your video inspired me to take a side hustle. Thank God I found one writing job (project based) from Craigslist. I'm paid per article that I submit to the company. Today I just got paid for my first 2 projects (it's 30$, you might thinks it's not much but i think it's a step in the right direction). Thank you very much and continue to make more financially-intelligent videos! You have my support :)
Are they hiring?
You always give the BEST advice!! Please continue to not be afraid of talking about money 💛
Thanks for all these resources! As a college student, I'm all for doing stuff like this during my free time.
OH MY GOSH ITS CHELSEA! I have been following you since Thought Catalog and then of course following your website, and I just found this channel and I’m so EXCITED!!!! I still have some of your OG thought catalog posts saved in my browsers because they helped me so much through the first part of my twenties! 💕 the first time you made a list like this on your website is what helped me find poshmark which I have been making money from for quite a while!
Great video, ladies! I work full time as a financial advisor and these side gigs seem time efficient and simple. I've jumped on board for the customer service reps at home!
subscribed 👏🏽😀
I have been LOOKING for a side-hustle I can do from bed, because I get wayyyyy tired on the weekends and really don't want to do anything that requires leaving home. Thanks for this video!!
i thought this was going to be lame but it turned out to be pretty good. probably one of the best side hustle videos ive seen on the tubes. keep up the good work ladies
So much love for this video! - Good things come to those who hustle!
Great video! Thanks so much! I hate the clickbait money videos that say you can make so much money off of surveys or whatever and don't actually work. Will be sharing this.
Thanks for sharing! I've started a part time Personal Assistant business in my town. Glad I am on the right track!!!
This video is great guys! Thanks :D I found all the suggestions really helpful, and I'm going to look into a few of I hadn't thought of before!
Watching this with notebook and pen like I'm getting ready for a test lol. You guys are awesome! Thank you for the tips!
Good advise!
P.S. There are TONS of fake Craigslist job postings about working remotely, like as a virtual assistant.
They take your personal information, re-route your mail and steal your identity.
But Craigslist can be great for getting in-person interviews, for other types of jobs though.
Super Helpful and thanks for providing the links in the description. Stumbled upon this video and have already watched 6! Thanks!
This is one of the best channels I've seen so far on saving money/minimalism Eloquent, to the point and commentary we can relate to. Great job you guys👌
I've been selling some of my old clothes from my closet recently and I've made over $200 for things I forgot I even still had! Thanks for these ideas :)
Seriously. Have tried selling old clothes on Etsy and posh mark. It seriously is a full time job. If you're not willing to do a ton of marketing you will sell nothing. It would be easier to just have a garage sale
It's not a full time job a full time job is 40+ hours a week, I know a few people who do this a few hours a week.
loved the tip about the virtual assistant work! I have recently turned this into a side hustle and its a great part time side income!
OMG, it's like you guys are psychic! I was watching the last episode and thinking "I hope they do an episode on side hustles because I'd like to get into that..." And here you are! Thanks Chelsea and Lauren! Your channel is the only RUclips channel I follow weekly.
me too! so happy to see this episode. :)
This was so helpful, thank you!
Nowadays, it’s not enough to just have a job for most people. You’re definitely going to need a side hustle. The Internet and technology has made that too easy! Great video ladies! Thank you very much!
Thank you! This was incredibly helpful!
Good suggestions ladies. I often suggest a side hustle to my client that are seeking financial freedom.
Thanks so much for sharing this. I needed to know where I could sell old textbooks. This is helpful!❤️
These are awesome ideas. It seems like there are many options that many of us have not even heard of. I recently had a video talking about how to make money online easy. Having these side hustles are great ways of getting extra money to help you out. Thanks!
Great content and ideas! I was referred to you guys from the listen money matters podcast and I'm glad I listened
Great video guys...you gave me a lot of info about side hustle's. I'm a single mum and I'm always on the look out for ways to make extra money ideally from the comfort of my home 😉
Thank you for posting the links. Usually people give suggestions without providing the links.
I consign crocheted purses and jewelry in a dozen different local shops. Such as convenience stores, general stores, gift shops, craft stores, clothing stores and regular consignment shops. Some shops take all of their products to craft shows as well.
I'm disabled and fairly bedridden. I crochet in bed. My boyfriend delivers and picks up. Never have to deal with customers. No specific deadlines.
Amazing suggestions!
I guess my issue with most of these side hustles is I could make more money by working OT at my day job. Why spend hours learning how to do some random side job that pays little to nothing when I can get my working wage+1/2 for working an extra hour of OT. If people have OT as an option, it almost always seems like a better option.
hnskinner most places don't offer OT nowadays though. it's pretty frigging awesome you have that option. but most of us, students, etc, don't have that as an option and that's why a video like this is helpful for the majority.
I just assumed it was so that you have a safety net if for whatever reason you lose your main job.
hnskinner jobs where you are waiting for someone else to sign your paycheck is NOT a guarantee. A small side hustle allows for extra skill and income just in case of a rainy day. Employers are always looking to increase their bottom line and they take no issue letting you go to do this. Please don't get complacent working for others. 30 yrs+ ago you could work a job long enough to retire, but today that's not the case in most industries. I have sadly watched people that worked for companies for 20+ years and have been fired and I do not work in an outdated industry. Take note to what has happened at ESPN.
hnskinner not everyone has a day job.. I have seen models who hustle working in restaurant to keep up with life so this advice is super useful to them
A lot of their viewers are freelancers. Personally I have freelance income from steady clients, income from a "day job" that is 15 hrs per week (no hope of OT) and I am trying to find another $500/month to make ends meet when both my regular clients cut back for the summer. If you have OT as an option then thank your lucky stars and make that money, man.
This is great! Thank you for the tips! 💓
Great video topic and great information!
I'm obsessed with this channel. Subscribed! :)
I cannot say HOW helpful this video has been! I have a BA in English with a Rhetoric focus and have not used it for a career- yet. Your video has opened my eyes to so many options that I'm interested in and I can't wait to check out all your links. Thank you guys so much for the variety of tips and for putting all the links to make it so easy for us to follow up.
wow! I love this is actually so helpful!
Very valuable information ladies. Thanks so much!
This is awesome. thank you for these ideas and tips. I am going to flesh through them and share my findings.
TFD is amazing! Love this video
Great tips! I sometimes sell my clothes I no longer want In my salon! Flipping clothes on EBay is great too!
This is wonderful information you ladies are something special thank you!
thank you for this! I'm going to use postmark to sell my old clothes. I'm heading to college in a month and I think it'll help me decide what I still want and whay I don't need anymore
So glad I found this channel
This sounds GREAT for uni students.Gonna get on it.
Great info! You both are a good team. :)
Thanks for a good video! Kinda disappointed at first with the standard "sell used clothes" but then it got much better! :) Did not know about liveops and the user testing. Thanks again!
Great video 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
This is a wonderful video, but I wish you'd given some more details about exactly how to tell a "scammy" survey from a real one. What are the obvious marks of a REAL survey vs. a scammy one? Inquiring minds want to know!
M AndOnlyM just look up the site.
You do your research almost every businesses has reviews.
If it has multiple screens you have to click through and ads pop up. If the amount of time you devote is very minimal compared to the pay (like $100 for 5 minutes or something), if they ask you to download something research it before, do not...do not give anyone login access to your email, facebook, or any website with personal details like that. Also plugins are iffy. DO NOT PAY TO DO A SURVEY. EVER. Do not pay to make money online. Idc what you say. Do not. I spent $25 which isn't a huge amount, but it's still not okat. Do. not.
These are great hustles! Thank you so much!!
I really appreciate this, thank you!
Okay, this is a great video. I appreciate all the links.
Such a great video. I can't understand how you have 1K thumbs down. So much good info in this video
Awesome information. Thank you
Amazing video, I work as a full-time writer, and as a social media manager as a side-dish :)
I was a tutor while I was looking for a more solid job. I still tutor in person for ~$15 more an hour than I make at my programming job (which is salaried). I only do it once a week for one hour, but I could pick up more. It's good money as a side job when you think about the value for your time. It doesn't seem like a lot when you compare it to your paycheck, but when you look at the hourly rate, it's completely worth it. It requires a negligible time commitment, and it pays my gas and parking fees every week. There is the stipulation that you have to know the subject you are tutoring in very well, and you have to be able to teach it.
Very useful information! Thank you so much!
i'm about to make some homemade floor cleaner and bath soak. i'm gettin' real excited.
Great video and good tips
This is awesome!
Awesome video
Thank you for the work from bed tips :) This was helpful!
Lots of great ideas for side hustling!
Great Information !!!
Super helpful! I'm in college and I have to commute so I don't have a lot of time to commute to a job!
Great video!
Either I am blind or there's not a link to be a virtual assistant, but I LOVE this video and your channel.
so helpful, thank you!
great great video! thanks
Very interesting. Right now I am working on sharing how to start businesses. Giving back for all that’s been given to me.
Did u even start a business
Francisco Leon hi Francisco. Yes, will do an update video in the next two months or so.
What an informative video! I can't wait to look into some of these side hustles. I didn't see the websites for virtual assistants, can you share those?
Thank you so much for these tips!!!!!!! I want to use some of these!!!!!!
Really a very useful video, thank yu guys .
Please do an updated version of this video! 🙏🏼
It’s 2021 (almost 2022!). My call center job, working with medical offices, went WFH March 2020 (COVID-19, of course). The company supplied the electronic equipment, they even train new hires from home now. Many of my callers also WFH (dogs, cats, kids in the mix), so I can build a rapport that way.
This is really useful information. Thank you. :-)
I just subscribed big time!!
where is the link for virtual assisting? love this video! Thank you for your channel!!
great tips thanks ladies !!!!
Hey guys! Great video! Quick question though, can you give us some suggestions for agencies that look to connect companies with virtual assistants?
thank you ladies!
They have a smudge on their wall and I thought it was a smudge on my screen... Now there is a smudge on my screen :-(
Anoiny lol, Same!
I would write grant proposals and sell old textbooks as a "side hustle". It was going good as I was a full time student.
Good advice!
This all depends upon your tax bracket. If you earn more, you're taxed more, which defeats the purpose.
If you don't want to work more, learn to go without and spend more time taking good care of the things you have so that you don't have to repurchase. Try a studio apartment close to work.
For example, my minimal wardrobe, kitchenware and furniture are more than 25 years old. Everything I have is still like new, because I took the time to take good care of everything I own.
I worked part-time throughout my entire career. Saved lots of money. Comfortably retired.
Up until now, I just didn't realize that minimalism was a special way to live life. I really enjoyed my time off. Freedom is everything.
This was helpful
thank you so much for the tips. also, chelsea's glasses are super cute, but the reflection from them was distracting :(
Thank you ladies 👌
Good video!
I love your videos, thanks! You're so pretty Chelsea, love you with glasses!
Depop is another great app for selling clothes. Have used, always go through the app, though. Never a second party system (like paypal)
Why? They make you use paypal now
Germs0o if someone asks you to pay outside of the app or tell you that they will pay outside of the app, they're usually a scammer. Depop can't help you if you do the transaction outside of the app and the scammer takes all of your money...
depop sucks
Try Vinted guys
I love depop I’ve had zero problems with the site, as long as the transaction is completed in the app there’s no risk
Businesses are steering away from hiring random young people to be social media managers because they dont understand analytics or ROI. Personal use and business use are totally different skills and it's a waste of money to pay some rando who doesn't know what theyre doing when you as a business owner could have done the same thing for free. Im a social media manager (as part of being a marketing manager) and it's ridiculous how many other people SM managers Ive met who have no clue what PPC is or analytics or AB testing or even ROI is.
ChelsRen I think it works for the really clueless, no offense. Some who are already somewhat good and aware about social media usage would see the value in investing in a professional social media menager, if their business is at that stage. But some are so bad that a teen, especialy if they're intelligent and hardworking, could boost up their SMM a whole lot.
Kinda like amateur photographers. The difference between amateur and proffesional is really big, but sometimes, if you don't need top notch results anyway, a good amateur could do a satisfying job too.
ChelsRen I can totally understand your sentiment and agree. But I would ask what you would cost a month to run a site? A small local restaurant who just wants to get some presence on Facebook and Instagram and get regular postings would gladly pay like $250 a month for that to just be taken care of. Where in my experience, truly qualified SMMs are not cheap. But I also live here in Orlando FL where EVERYONE at UCF is trying to manager social media for a living
