I'm a Canadian clarinetist, I have no idea whether or not this was for real, but...a British friend who was working in the orchestral scene there at the time once told me, this got taped because an actual audition was so bad, they called the player back the next week, just to get it for posterity! In any case, I just want to believe it could have really happened....thanks for the upload!
The Holst was moderately good, but there's a lot of issues with speaking the same note three times and having three different responses. I've never seen Holst go through an abattoir, but I imagine I might have an idea what the result might be.
This video makes absolutely no sense. So either its done as a spoof, or some poor sod has had their audition taped and laughed at. Please explain. Thanks, Rebecca
