sleeping masks are one of the things you need when traveling and headphones haha a bad night sleep is the worst! looks like a nice ride i hope mine in Vietnam is as nice as that!
Traveling Bee Did they padlock the doors shut at night on your sleeper rail car? They did that back in 2008 it was a bit disconcerting being locked in. There explanation was that it stops thieves from breaking in.
Im going to backpack with my bestfriend in februari and we want to book this train aswell, do you recommend to book before you go or is there enough space to book the day you want to go?
Never stick your head out on those trains in SE Asia, especially if there are passenger cars in front of you. The toilets go directly out on to the track and if the train is moving it can spray from under the carriage and right into your face and on you clothing and phone or camera. The same is true for India.
It's a given I don't like crowds, but just the thought of trying to sleep with all those people around makes me shudder..I'd feel more comfortable sleeping outside on the top of the car.... well, I'd probably fall asleep and roll off so I'll forget that idea..
It is nice to see another travel video maker who lets her personality shine through in the video - really is a pleasure to watch!

It's pronounced one two go Asia (12goasia). Thai people sometimes say 1,2,go when taking photos, as in a TV commercial.
