Lung Ying was my introduction into kung fu, my sifu taught us a very stripped down version of the system, and he emphasized this set alot, i couldnt remember the name(i was 12) until i said this video thank you Sifu Cheung.

Thanks for this! I hope you will produce more Dragon Style kungfu instructional videos for the other forms. There are really not many of them on RUclips in general.

Thank you! Due to the pandemic I haven't seen and practiced with my Sifu in quite a while and I couldn't remember the moves. Kept getting it mixed up with Sam Tong Guo Kiu moves

this is not southern dragon but northern. that means it won't work in a fight. let us see you fight with it

I practice northern dragon but this form is in our curriculum but slightly modified. The finger jab is practiced horizontal, although we really do not do finger jabs at all. I replace that strike with a "leopard" fist to the throat or eye socket. I wouldn't fight with it because of the grave consequences to the opponent. This is a southern dragon form, lung ying kuen. There are intricacies not stressed for beginners like the grabs, sinking, spitting, pivoting, angles, coiling, grounding, how to project power from such short range, getting into the opponents's space, etc. BTW, this would be a nightmare for an opponent.
