I have been dealling with this company for many years now, and have installed many crossings. They also have great traffic lights and street lights too. They are very easy to work with. I just love the fact it gives a little life to your layout. Love the video can not wait for more.
Just saw your video and you inspired me to order 4 sets to replace 4 static (no sound, no lights) crossings. I may use .080 gray-painted styrene instead of foam for the bases... a little more rigid and slightly shorter. Keep up the great work on your layout, you have given me a lot of good ideas and methods over the last couple of years. Ron
For the money they are real nice and very adjustable. For my layout I'd want more space between crossing and IR sensors just more prototypical (or maybe I just like lights and bells) Foam bases are a nice idea and look great. Your videos are so helpful. Peace ✌️
Very nice! Thats a lot of bang for the buck. I like that it has all the different settings. The scale doesn't look too bad. You could always remake the signage. Thanks for sharing!
I have considered making my own signals. I figured I would try and see if I could live with these first. The LED's used in this example are nice because they are round. The smaller LED's are rectangular. A smaller X would be better, but I think the lights would need to be smaller to look right.
If you wanted to mount your IR sensors under the track like I did you would require 2 more sensors but i do not see 2 more slots for sensors to plug into. Alternatively you could find a way to mount your sensors so they trigger from the side of the train.
They look a bit big bit overall noce stuff. But are the sensor not to near thecrossing? I asume if there is a truck on the crossing he could never stop in this short time when the lights turn on. Or am i pickie? 🤣👌
I bought one, and I'm having difficulty with the sensors detecting the dark bottoms of my freight cars. Anyone experienced this? What was your solution?
Can't say I've had any issues. All the bottoms of my locos or freight cars are dark and not an issue. Honestly anything that has gone over my sensor has set it off.
@@nscaler454 Hmmmmm. My sensors work on just about anything except the flat black of the test cars and loco that I am using. I'm using the extra split cables and another pair of sensors for a double track. I don't think that it should matter. I'll see what wehonest has to say
@nscaler454 I just heard back from wehonest, and I was told to put a bit of white tape underneath the rolling stock. I using some Microtrains rolling stock and it has a deep and detailed undercarriage with lots of potential light scatter besides the flat black. I may have to paint a thin silver line on the beams
TheyHonest, but TheyDon’tKnowScale. That crossing signal is ludicrously out of scale. The easy peasy electronics are a great bang for the buck, but those cartoonish cross bucks kill it for me.

I agree. Some animation or lights can really make a layout come alive.
Thanks for the guidance. Got the railway crossings installed and working.

Fun and easy addition. Thanks for the demonstration.

I really like bell sound 2, it reminds me of my railroad crossing that I go to.
Hi Nscaler454 & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Nscaler454 & Friends Randy
Glad you're feeling better!
I will just follow in your shadow so I know what to buy!
Loving the hopper unloading kit! Thaks a million!
Thanks!
Gotta fix the 2 track sign… cool stuff
I know right. I wish you could select which signals you get.
maybe print and cut a white mailing label to fit. I'm lucky though, 3 of the 4 crossings I just bought these for are 2 track.
i bought some last year,...and they still work...street lamposts were a dollar each...still work
Damn good value if you ask me. I'm gonna need a few of those.
Excellent work 👍👍!!
Love your video, can you send a link for the adopters you used for the power? Thanks
I got them off Amazon.ca with those black toggle switches.
Do you know if you can do more then 1 track?

@@nscaler454 They also sell splitter cables for the IR sensors and 4 way splitters. It is what I use for below mountted Kato tracks.
Awesome! $60 is a bit much though imo.
They are nice units and it looks like it works good. Bob
They honest?
As far as I know.

Ideally I would have liked to place the sensors farther away. Unfortunately my layout prevented that.
@@nscaler454 well i guess thats how we have to deal with space :) but still it looks good. :)
Not bad
Hello. Size-wise, they seem proportionally accurate to me... So I really don't see what the big deal is. Wonderful layout by the way.

60 bucks is still a rip
