    One of your best videos yet! I really like that you show yourself hitting an overhead at the end. A lot of instructors on RUclips talk about technique (such as serving) and you never see them hit a ball demonstrating what is being instructed. Great lesson!

      Kavi Patel thanks for the comment! I try to demonstrate as much as I can in my videos. Most of my videos have me hitting in them showing the technique that I’m teaching. I’m thinking about posting some more vlog type videos of myself putting in some work on my game

    Really good drill with the fielding .. I played a lot of baseball when very young so it makes perfect sense. But get a fielding glove mate, that's a catcher's glove 😁 thanks for the video 👍

    Best in your vids is your use of ball machine with graphics to remind key points while you actually hit the ball. You don't use that much in this vid but so much more interesting than hearing other coaches just talk. Great vid anyway;)

    Coach i hv been try to pronoate during hitting such shot. Looking into your grip it's s western / semi western

    • @HammerItTennis
      @HammerItTennis  3 года назад +1

      You can pronate just like a serve to get more power into your shot. I would focus on that after you are feeling very comfortable with hitting the ball in front and making good contact. I would recommend, and I use, continental grip on overheads, just like you should on a serve.

    Great explanation! Thank you. By the way can you tell us the slingerbag setting you use to practice overheads.

      Thanks! I usually just move the height adjustment to all the way up or so and then just adjust the ball feed speed and rate to suit. I need to get a video out of settings and drills!

    That's the ticket! Once you retreat enough to get safely into that "hail Mary" trophy position, you can always inch your way back in closer if needed. Thanks, Dan.

      jacksonlar a fielding position really allows you to get in a good position to rotate and hit down and forward on the ball. Thanks for the comment!
