women's pole vault is relatively very new and Isinbaeva made it very popular. When a sport is that young, you'll expect records to be broken often. Unless Stefanidi breaks the 5m barrier consistently, she can't be mentioned in the same breath as Yelena. During Beijing even the most sports-ignorant people around me knew of the Russia girl that jumped and broke records. Sadly, look at us now...we are talking of someone passing the 4.90m mark consistently instead of 5m like last time. Not IOC's fault for the athletics ban. IAAF's stupid rule made this year in June states that any Russian athlete must have trained outside of russia for the past 2 yrs to participate. Even though Isinbaeva trained in Monaco from 2005-2010, it didn't matter. Only Klishina qualified under that rule.

Isinbaeva was already disliked by her peers while she was competing but after her comments about Stefanidi during Rio she lost the respect of the next generation of pole vaulters as well. (Its also funny because Stefanidi , being a true champion herself actually defended Yelena during the whole WADA incident leading up to Rio and said that there is no reason why Yelena shouldn't be allowed to compete, making Yelena's comment after Stefanidi won even worst.) Stefanidi is an ambassador for the sport, a simply charismatic person and personality. (Also has a Masters degree in psychology while being busy being the best pole vaulter in the world). So she is also a bright mind which is evident with the way she conducts herself, has given plenty of lectures about the science behind pole vault if you feel like looking them up. She has been just as dominant, she did not lose a single meet for 2 years between 2016-2017 (that's 19 wins in a row) , European athlete of the year in 2017, she is the CURRENT Olympic, European, World AND Diamond league champion. All at the same time. She actually defended her European championship 2 weeks ago (So she is back to back European champion)...something that even Yelena didn't manage to do in her career. Pole Vault is more about getting the biggest height, Sandi Morris, Shurr have all jumped over 5M plenty of times in their career, still consistently lose to Stefanidi in almost all competitions. Why? Because Stefanidi is probably the most consistent athlete the sport has seen, meaning she rarely makes any misses in attempts while other girls might be able to get a jump over 5M but they are not as consistent with their techniques meaning that they often make mistakes on lower bars thus lose. Stefanidi is already by far in the Top 2 best women pole Vaulter (many including me put her over Yelena for the positives she has given to the sport as an ambassador) Yelena was a great athlete no doubt but she proved to be quite small as a person. If Stefanidi is able to defend her world title just like she did for her European title (especially if she is back to back Diamond league champion as well) or wins back to back gold in Tokyo she would move ahead off Yelena for many. Stefanidi has already broken Yelena's meet records in many meets including Amsterdam, if all you care about is who cleared the highest bar it has a lot to do with body types, Stefanidi is quite a lot shorter than Yelena thus such heights come by a lot harder. There are many different ways athletes can be great tho, and if Stefanidi keeps dominating Pole Vault the way she has she makes a very very valid argument. (btw, talking about rivalries, the Kat vs Sandi Morris rivalry has been probably the best rivalry to happen in women's pole vault. KS's personal best is at 4.91m (national record) versus YI's 5.06 (outdoor world record). Right now, KS only has one gold under her and I look forward and wish her the best if she participate Tokyo 2020, but why do you allow your personal preference to dishonor both Stefanidi and Isinbayeva's achievements?

زد زد زد يا الله في جميع الاوقات والأماكن . الله قْذِفُ بِالْحَقِّ . وشكرآ يا ألله قال ألله تعالى (أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُا الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا بِالْآخِرَةِ ۖ فَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ) الايه . الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا الدُّنْيَا . قال ألله تعالى(يَا بُنَيَّ إِنَّهَا إِن تَكُ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ فَتَكُن فِي صَخْرَةٍ أَوْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ أَوْ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَأْتِ بِهَا اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَطِيفٌ خَبِيرٌ ) الايه . حَبَّةٍ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ فَتَكُن فِي صَخْرَةٍ أَوْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ أَوْ فِي الْأَرْضِ تخيل الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا ( الدُّنْيَا باكملها حَبَّةٍ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ من هو الي بياتي بها ؟ يَأْتِ بِهَا اللَّهُ ۚ . صدق الله العظيم . الْحَقِّ"'.
