My son exhibited the negative symptoms along with cognitive issues. He had his first psychotic break at 16 after smoking marijuana. I had no idea what was wrong with him.
Long story short, he refused treatment, got hooked on drugs and died of an overdose.
How I wish I knew all this prior to his death. I thought the drugs made him dull. He suffered a lot. He’s now at peace.
More research needs to be done in connection to this disease. It is the cruelest disease. There’s nothing like it

False. I refuse antipsychotics and have mostly negative symptoms.
I will say they tend to make them worse though.

@Karolis I'm also autistic, so it's hard to tell, but I've had negative symptoms since I can remember. My mom always said I changed when I was 4. I started becoming aware when I was 8. I was already a shell at 10.
I was on low doses of antipsychotics+antidepressants at 13 until I stopped taking them at 17. I had my first true psychotic break at 25 and they forced unvega sustenna on me, but I didn't take that again after being released.
