Lore is so underrated and always treated as such a secondary feature in games but it's what makes games worth exploring and replaying. Stumbled across your videos and they made me get back into DA:O for the first time in years.
I found this channel not very long ago, but it quickly became my favorite. Please never stop uploading these videos, they definitely make my day. Congratulations on 5K! I’m so glad I get to be a part of it.
Congratulations! Thank you for your contributions to the Dragon Age community, and for taking the time to make these videos. I've been listening to them at work, they make the day go by faster. I'm afraid I've run out of content for the moment, though, so I eagerly await the next lecture and will do my best to do my homework in the meantime. Best of luck professor!
These videos are a lifesaver. I run a campaign in the Dragon Age TTRPG, but I only played games and have no time to dive deeply into all the comics and books, so that kind of content really helps me with all the lore I need to cover.
The theme of Dragon Age flora and fauna is always interesting to listen to, plus dragons have been an icon in this franchise despite being rarely seen, I hope in the next DA we can be friends with dragons or at least not have to kill them. Congratulations on the 5000 sub Professor Absalom!
Sadly that seems unlikely given that Dragons tend to be beasts that devastate the area in which they live. Though their blood does seem to possess unusual properties.
This is too well made for only 5k subs I remember looking for dragon age lore years ago when I first played inquisition but unfortunately there was close to nothing until now
Why not try the Dragon Age ttrpg by Green Ronin? I have it myself but have not had the time to play it yet. But from what I’ve read and heard its supposed to be quite good.
Such awesome videos with really in depth research and fantasic presentation. Your videos inspired me to get the world of thedas books and replay the games! Helps make the experience 2fold more enjoyable!
I just binge watched all your videos and subscribed! I love learning about lore! Keep it up! I'm so curious about the Titans and the war between them and the Elvhen before the Veil. It was mentioned that Andruil was possibly tainted? And that they may have found darkspawn underground? Was red lyrium a result of their war on the Titans? Did the Elvhen somehow taint the blood of the Titans and unknowingly create the darkspawn? I hope the new game will give us more information!
I’d really like to come across a dragon or high dragon in DA4 that doesn’t just automatically attack, and is simply curious , or wary. I don’t like having to kill them when they’re not bothering anybody 😔
I agree. I always felt weird about killing them since they already were almost hunted to extinction. Some don’t seem to really be bothering nearby peoples besides scaring them with their presence. 😔 I’m sure there’s other things that could be done for safety regulations instead of just killing them.
Professor Absalom, I need more material for my upcoming Exam of Draconology and Professer Frederic of Serault is just not enough.

New series is great so far, nice to have some shorter content in between the longer lectures ^^
I've been thinking about running a Dragon Age inspired game of D&D for a while and this channels content has been a great resource

Yo, I was asking for this on his last episode, noice
So you’re telling me all those high dragons my qunari has killed in single combat were pregnant? That’s fucked up 😂
Maker bless You!
Absalom: "...the most important creatures in the setting..."
Me: "Nugs"
Absalom: "dragons."
Me: 😮
Well, nugs are almost as important as the dragons! 😆 And nugs will get their time to shine in a lesson, belive me! 🙂

@@SerOuroboros the two that are asleep when you approach them especially feels super shitty 😔
I guess Drakes are house-husbands.
I'm a 5k now!
Can you touch on great dragon, professor?
I find it interesting that only females can become dragons, but then there are males among the Archdemons, who are ancient dragon gods.
Hope we get a Drake companion in the Next dragon age
