    Hi Dr. Jo! I'm having pain that I had at one time thought was my kidney. While trying to sleep, I realized it was my pelvis. Kidney area felt fine. Hips, not so much. So I went in search for exercises, (No easy task. Kept finding kegal info.) and I found your video. I did the exercises with you. Lol now I KNOW it's my pelvis. I love this video so much. I'm 52 and can't do what a 20 year old can do. You took everyone's abilities into account and made me feel comfortable and confident! I definitely SUBSCRIBED and sent this video to my daughter, who recently delivered our first grandbaby. Thank you so much!

    Have done similar exercises with a PT post baby #3. . .now feeling same instability symptoms after restarting exercise routine 1year post baby #4. Your explanations are SUPER helpful! I feel much more confident in my body awareness and understanding of the exercises. Many of these felt so good that it was hard not to keep going back! Looking forward to a fuller recovery. Thank you so much!!!

    Thank you for your tuition sessions; as a person who had complicated CDH from birth which was finally corrected after three childhood surgeries.

    Also now suffer chronic back pain again being treated by pain management specialist.
    All your tuition sessions have shown me where I was going wrong. So a very heartfelt thank you. Bee

Would you recommend those in your video or are there some that might be harmful for me? Or have you ever posted something more suitable for my problem?
    I find your way to explain in detail each movement really fantastic!

      Well, I haven't seen my therapist in a while now, due to this Coronavirus situation. Last time he checked my hip (more than one month ago) he said it was doing ok, and that it will take time to heal completely because my entire leg had adjusted to the wrong posture. Expecially my foot has gone from being extarotated to almost intrarotated, and my fear is that if I try to keep it straight by walking, it will "pull my hip out of place" again. Does that make sense? For this reason I'm trying to strenghten my muscles around the hip, hoping this will allow me to walk correctly and let my hip keep on healing.
      My therapist just told me to walk a lot, avoid dancing Tango and avoid doing the typical leg raise you do when you jump over a hurdle...
      Thanks a lot for the prompt answer, I really appreciate it!

    I love 💗 your videos because you show us what not to do as well as tell us which is so helpful. A lot of the videos just give verbal warnings of what not to do, but some of us learn better with visual cues. So, thank you 🙏🏻 for being head 👩🏻 and shoulders 💪(closest I could find 😂) above the rest. 😊

My primary doctor prescribed me anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxant, but they make me sleep all day and I don't see that the pain is gone completely, I do not want to take them anymore. Hence, it bothers for driving, or if do my normal household activities, to get up it hurts, I exercise 3 times per week, since I am not doing it. The one I’m using is called the Womfy, but it’s no longer available. I have reviewed another pillow I really like from SleepOvation. You can learn more about it here: ruclips.net/video/v-Nq8qm7RQk/видео.html

    I ended up having severe hip and si joint pain after doing 3 months of clam and fire hydrant moves ! I wonder why?

    • @AskDoctorJo
      @AskDoctorJo  5 лет назад

      Did you have an injury before you started? Are you sure you were doing them correctly? Both of those moves are really easy to over rotate the pelvis while doing. It really could be a number of reasons.

    Добрый вечер. Мне 64 года, я живу в России на острове Сахалин. Английского языка я не знаю, у нас даже словарик для перевода купить негде. Хорошо, что комментарии Googl переводит на русский. А вот описание самого видеоролика не переводит. Нельзя ли описание переместить в комментарии? И тогда возможно я увижу перевод того, о чем говорится в ролике. И очень хочется сказать большое спасибо за Ваш труд.

      You can easily turn on closed captioning by clicking the "CC" button at the bottom of the video. You can drag them to another area on the screen, or you can make them transparent. You can even automatically translate them into many different languages! I show how to do all this and more here: ruclips.net/video/VatNBZh66Po/видео.html

    WOW! Just what I need! Fire hydrant and circles challenging! I’ll feel this tomorrow. Not sure if it was this video or last I watched, but even modified plank is tough on shoulder. Is there an alternative?

    • @AskDoctorJo
      @AskDoctorJo  3 года назад +1

      Modified planks against a wall or counter top modifies it a little more.

      They might help some, but if you can, the best option would be to go see a physical therapist who specializes in the pelvic floor (often called Women's Health Therapists).
