At the moment that the cable car fell and crashed, the father tried his best to hold his son high. The two-year-old kid survived, while her parents both died. Deeply touched by the story, Han also adopted the kid. She said she feels empathy with the boy, more than others, since she herself lost her father at the age of six.

He tells the story with his voice, his body, the entire performance. I've said this before; Dimash looks and sounds like that utterly desperate, heartbroken 2 year old boy did on that day. And even if he sang this sitting quietly, with no vocal runs and acrobatics, he could still make Daybreak just as heartwrenching and yes, hopeful.

She adopted a little boy, whose parents were killed, together with a dozen people more, in a cable cart accident. They managed to save their baby boy by lifting him up out of the cart. Daybreak was composed by and originally sung by Han Hong. She also wrote the lyrics based on her conversations with a little boy she had adopted. This boy, Ziyin Pan, was the only person who had survived almost unscathed a terrible cable car accident. This accident occurred at a popular tourist destination, the canyon at the Ma Ling River in Guizhou province, on October 3, 1999. An unlicensed cable car with a limit of 12 was overloaded with 37 passengers. As it arrived at the top of the canyon, it got stuck. The newly hired and poorly trained employee panicked and pushed the wrong lever. The cable car started sliding backwards. Then the frayed cable snapped and the cable car plunged 110 meters down and crashed into the concrete platform below. During those few moments of free fall, a young couple instinctively raised together their 2.5-year old son above their heads, hoping to cushion his impact. The horrific crash left 14 dead - including the young Pan couple- and 22 severely injured. Little Ziyin Pan, miraculously, was the only one to sustain only a bruise on the lip.

Thank you so much for reacting to this 🙏 Daybreak in itself is an immensely powerful song, even before you know the history. But Dimash takes it to another level. He tells the story with his voice, his body, the entire performance. I've said this before; Dimash looks and sounds like that utterly desperate, heartbroken 2 year old boy did on that day. And even if he sang this sitting quietly, with no vocal runs and acrobatics, he could still make Daybreak just as heartwrenching and yes, hopeful.
One of my favorites is his song Leyla from Bastua. It is a very fun song with what seems to me an Eastern Indian flair.

Incredible, wasn't it? Did you watch it with subtitles on? This song was written by Han Hong, the Chinese singer. She adopted a little boy, whose parents were killed, together with a dozen people more, in a cable cart accident. They managed to save their baby boy by lifting him up out of the cart. Dimash tells the story from the kid's standpoint. He also did the song on The Singer, but then he was not well, no voice. He was rushed to the hospital for a couple of injections, did the performance remarkably well, all things considered, immediately afterwards no voice again.

Daybreak was composed by and originally sung by Han Hong. She also wrote the lyrics based on her conversations with a little boy she had adopted. This boy, Ziyin Pan, was the only person who had survived almost unscathed a terrible cable car accident. This accident occurred at a popular tourist destination, the canyon at the Ma Ling River in Guizhou province, on October 3, 1999. An unlicensed cable car with a limit of 12 was overloaded with 37 passengers. As it arrived at the top of the canyon, it got stuck. The newly hired and poorly trained employee panicked and pushed the wrong lever. The cable car started sliding backwards. Then the frayed cable snapped and the cable car plunged 110 meters down and crashed into the concrete platform below. During those few moments of free fall, a young couple instinctively raised together their 2.5-year old son above their heads, hoping to cushion his impact. The horrific crash left 14 dead - including the young Pan couple- and 22 severely injured. Little Ziyin Pan, miraculously, was the only one to sustain only a bruise on the lip.

Bastau was his first concert after Singer in his home town. This my absolute favorite performance of Daybreak. Do yourself a favor and look up the English translation and then listen to this again. You will really appreciate it once you know the story. Bastau was incredible and won Concert Of the Year.

Hello Soul 💖hope ur good !! Glad ur bak to Dimash !! This song is based on a true story very sad story about a young boy losing his parents in a very bad car accident and having to go on alone.
I am particularly fond of when he sings in Mandarin and Chinese just my favorites. Dimash spent three years in China and some of the best footage and his start came from there he has said that it was a very great time in his life.
