Finishing all Friends is definitely a journey but then you'll start a new journey; rewatches. Friends is such a feel good rewatch show. It's there when you need it.
Monica and Phoebe's friendship is so underrated, I'm happy that season 9 explored it a bit more. Also, I can really enjoy Ross and Chandler's friendship too sometimes! XD
Yeah, that's true. And I've always been wondering what it was like when they were roommates, before Rachel and Joey came along. Phoebe's must have been adult Monica's best best friend!
The guy at the party who gave Rachel his phone number is Matthew Ashford who has played Jack Deveraux on Days of our Lives since the 80's. Kyle Lowder the guy who signs Monica's bra played Brady Black. Jennifer's dad John Aniston was on the show since back in the 80s too until he passed away.
The line is what the customers of the hotel use. You use shampoo. You eat apples. You use salt. etc... Like, consume. And use on hair. The shampoo bottles get thrown away most likely. But the salt shakers are reusable, so taking those is a no no no.
Knew the first, didn't realize the second. Nice catch! 👍 25:15 Now I'm disappointed with myself that I didn't recognize him one way or the other, since those are two of my all-time favourite three TV series.
Trust me you will enjoy rewatching Friends. Some of us have rewatched it a lot of times since it first aired. Fun to rewatch and see how the characters developed.
I can't believe you're almost done with the series. I remember when you first started. It's such a part of pop culture zeitgeist history. Now you're a part of it, too.
You know, when I stayed at a nice hotel years ago, the battery compartment on the remote was screwed shut and there was some kind of shield inside the lamps that kept guests from taking the bulbs. 😂
Bitter woman on stage was Alex Borstein aka Lois Griffin from Family Guy. Can't believe Friends is about over. You and your girlfriend should watch The Wild Robot. It replaced Inside Out 2 for my favorite animated film of the year. It's so good and DreamWorks knocked it out of the park.
Not just the voice of Lois, she was also hilarious on the old-school MadTV, and is a long-time writer and producer on Family Guy. "He look-a like a man."
Hotel front desk worker here. If someone steals towels from the hotel, nothing would happen, really. But if they steal or damage something big (like a tv or bed), they WILL be charged. A few years ago, a husband and wife got really drunk after a party, and the wife pit a stiletto thru the tv screen. My AGM called her & told her we’d have to charge her $600+. She was surprisingly cool with it.
@@stephaniefox896 Same. I really do not understand why they didn't go with the alternate ending seriously. That's the one I mentally chose to go with of the 2.
No. The show had some good moments but when I heard how it ended I was so glad that I stopped watching in the fifth season. It wasn't a good enough show to forgive that ending.
With too much sugar or caffeine yes, I also tremble, speak quickly... When I drink an energy drink my heart rate gets up in no time, but it hurts! So I never have that things.
If you haven't seen Seinfeld, I'd recommend that as your next reaction, as it was the second biggest sitcom of the 1990's and also a part of Must-See TV Thursday!
Any other big fan of Alex Borstein here? I love her in "Marvelous Mrs Maisel" and about the angry women show ... I would go and let her insult me for being a man. I am a fan.
I think the most frustrating part about the whole relationship drama is you know they are setting up for their typical cliffhanger season finale. Suuuure episode 20 is when all these feelings get stirred up. They do this all the time.
Fun fact I’m pretty sure the lady doing the 1 woman play is the voice of Lois in Family Guy 😂. In the Big Bang Theory you watched this week too the lady interviewing Sheldon about jobs voices Lisa in The Simpsons. Though I think you’ve mentioned before you’ve not really watched much of that.
😂Hotels usually will charge your credit card for missing towels, robes....room damage. It would have been hilarious if they charged the guys for the pine cones
Maple sugar candy is intense. I remember having a packet with four pieces in it, probably the size of one Reese's peanut butter cup if you put them all together, and feeling like I was running on adrenaline for 2 hours. Didn't make that mistake again. Always have it with a meal and stick to one piece.
Ross professor colleague is the same actor that plays Principal Flutie in Buffy. And considering both are academics maybe flutie survived and transfered here to avoid hyena people
i have all phoebe songs on my ipod, yes i still have an ipod one of the best song is the giant pidgeon from the first episode, i don't know why they cut the song from the episode, one of my favorites 💚💚
I have to provide the counter opinion to the mentioned hate for Joey and Rachel.... personally it feels like a breath of fresh air after the prolonged drama of Ross and Rachel.... but then again I absolutely detest Ross with Rachel so YMMV lol but giving Joey some moments to slow down and be serious and less silly is a great result of this whole thing....
At the end of episode 19 Joey kind of (unintentionally) does to Rachel what Rachel did to Ross before he slept with Julie for the first time. Except in both cases, Rachel’s the one who got left out in the cold 😂
I can't believe you're about to finish the show either! I found you on here through your Friends reactions and then joined your Patreon. It feels like yesterday but also a long time ago. Weird. As for taking stuff from a hotel the way Ross and Chandler are doing it, I don't know the exact legalities surrounding it. I took a few dishes, glasses, knives/forks and other kitchen items from a hotel I was basically living at a few years ago (long story), but in my defense the hotel was shutting down due to Covid and the fact there were no tourists. I didn't really have any household items because I was practially kicked out of my house and all my stuff/furniture is in storage somewhere, which is why I was at the hotel (again, long story). Anyway, I liked Joey and Rachel's dynamic in S8 but I didn't like this at all. It seems so random and out of place. It would have made more sense if she had reciprocated his feelings back in S8. They had a lot more sexual tension then. Fun facts: There are two great guest stars in E20. Charlie is played by Aisha Tyler who is known for Criminal Midns, Archer (voicing), CSI, Ghost Whisperer, 24, The Santa Clause 2 & 3. She was also a co-host on The Talk, hosted Talk Soup and since 2013 she has hosted Whose Line Is It Anyway?. The Woman in the play is played by the great Alex Borstein who voices a character in Family Guy, played various characters on the sketch comedy series MADtv, was in the TV shows The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel & Getting On and the movies The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Catwoman (with Halle Berry), Ted and Love The Coopers. In E20 when Joey is going through Rachel's list of men's phone numbers, he says "This guy is in a cult. It will cost you $5000 to get to level 3 and I don't feel any different". This could be a reference to the "Church" of Scientology, which many people believe to be a cult. Members are expected to pay large sums of money to ascend through levels. Various celebrities, such as Tom Cruise and John Travolta, are members (and Giovanni Ribisi who plays Frank Jr.). The script Rachel is holding while reading lines with Joey in E19 is the actual script for the episode. If you pause and look really closely at the top of the page, you can see the title "The One With Rachel's dream" and the dialogue "Joey as Drake". 4 actual Days of Our Lives stars who were on the show at the time had cameos at the party as themselves: Kyle Lowder who played Brady Black from 2000-2005, Matthew Ashford who played Jack Deveraux from 1987-2012, Farrah Fath who played Mimi Lockhart from 1999-2007 and Alexis Thorpe who played Cassie Brady from 2002-2005 (the last two were in the background). In E20, the hilarious laughter when Joey opens his robe is because in the blooper for this scene Matt stuck a picture of David on his boxer shorts 😂 I would post a link but I can't find it in a separate video rather than the whole season so it's better to watch after the season is over to avoid spoilers. The café that Ross is having lunch with Charlie and the other professor is the same cafe set from that was used in 9x11 in the scene Phoebe is an extra on Days of Our Lives. In E19, the hotel room Chandler and Ross are staying in was Carol's and Susan's old apartment. Rachel walking in on Joey with the pineapple is similar to 1x15 when Chandler walked in on Ross trying to talk dirty to Joey. This is the second time Ross takes stuff from a hotel as a method of "refund". The first time it was shown was in 8x02. Goofs/continuity/character errors: In E19, Monica says that her restaurant is booked out months in advance. Later, when Phoebe is busking outside the restaurant, there's a line of people waiting to get in. If it were fully booked, there would be no point waiting in a queue. Interestingly enough in E20, Joey is pretty good at lying and it is said that he even lied to the other 5 friends a couple of times before. This is the exact opposite of what was stated in 9x08. When Rachel has her dream about Joey, she says "Well, that's new." But back in 1x22 she had sex dreams about all of the guys, including Joey. Joey says he's never been in love with anyone before aside from Rachel but he claimed to be in love with his co-star Kate from the play in S3. When Chandler asks Monica about her first period, she says she got it when she was 13 and then says it was very difficult. But if you look at her lips, she is mouthing something else. Newcastle disease actually can infect humans with mild flu-like symptoms or conjunctivitis (an infection of the eye that is also called pink eye) and/or laryngitis (an irritation and swelling of the voice box and the area around it).
I know I'm in the minority - but I really like how the Rachel/Joey story goes. I think it was really real how each of them developed crushes on the other. Especially this follow up. Rachel had some time and got to know the real Joey and things just eventually clicked to where she has a crush. It's happened to me. I like the story.

Friends Friday! WOO-HOO!!! 👏👏👏👏 Full Disclosure: I was out yesterday, so it's Saturday now, but it diminishes my enthusiasm exactly 0% , nor should it yours. 🤘😁🤘 1:47 Like a lot of young and hot Sit-Com Actresses in the '80s and '90s, I think that she thinks that it's a bit chilly. 🤔 7:44 Good call, and be prepared for some heated rhetoric on the subject. 😉 17:37 Hey! She's awesome. 🤩 25:47 As a Canadian, I'm offended.🤔🤨 As me...yeah, that's fair. 🤔😛 27:40 The plot thickens... 28:05 BURN! that's a quality burn right there by Chandler. 👏👏👏👏
Funny I was just reading what you are allowed to take from a hotel yesterday. Ross is right. And yes, it is legal to take any holy books as well. But robes are a no-no.
You've got like 24 episodes left plus 160 more episodes of Big Bang Theory so, lol. There are a few more sticoms that went on 9 or more seasons too if you want to check those out. The Good Place and Brooklyn 99 are musts.
Ross is my least favorite character in the early seasons, but he’s often part of my very favorite moments in seasons 5-10. My second favorite Ross moment is him repeating the desk clerk all hyped up on maple candy. (First favorite is the leather pants). I can’t stand him as a manipulative, selfish “nice” guy being presented as a romantic lead, but as a chaos goblin everyone sees through, David Schimmer makes him hilariously irresistible.
I think more people would have liked them if they had a little bit of that romantic chemistry ross and Rachel have. Also, fans don't like it as well due to the actors themselves hating this storyline.
I would love if you watched What we do in the shadows series, a mockumentary about vampires being roomates and going about their lives in the new world. It is among the funniest things I have ever seen. Greetings from Sweden😊
And then it begins. The worst plot in this intire show. The only two good things is that it only lasts a few episodes and we have some of the best Ross's moments.
These are the episodes i do not rewatch much and when i do i fast forward through parts..the writing for plots were beginning to really stretch thin ..anything with the whole Joey/ Rachael thing gets on my nerves.
Got to your thoughts at the end, I didn’t realize so many people disliked the Joey x Rachel arc?! I was always a big fan of it and really liked them together 😂
The stuff you can take from hotels is the stuff you get that you are supposed to use, and which can't be reused. So, towels, no. Towels will be washed and reused. Shampoo etc, yes. As soon as those bottles are opened, they'll get thrown away if you don't use them or take them with you. Free snacks, tea bags, creamer, etc, ditto. Batteries, I would say are a no, just because they're necessary to make the remote work, but also no one will know they came from the remote if you take them, so it's a grey area I guess 😂 salt and pepper; if the shakers are in your room, I don't see why not. Empyting them out while in the restaurant; no. Those shakers will be reused, they are always on the table, so the salt technically isn't all meant for you to use. Toilet paper is a yes, imo, even though I know some places these days will just keep a roll in the room if it hasn't been used much, but also a lot of places will throw them out if used even once and replace them with new ones, so taking the TP home is really just combating waste!
Gosh, the writers made Phoebe so much more unlikable in the later seasons. The more I watch Friends, the more I notice how her character became harsher and even inconsiderate at times. In the earlier seasons, she was more supportive of the other Friends, not just Joey. But constantly trashing Chandler, Monica, and Ross eventually becomes unbearable
Congratulations on getting this far Nick( like it was hard right? 😂) it’s been great going in this journey with you. It’s a bitter sweet ending but the good thing is… F.R.I.E.N.D.S is forever you can always rewatch it. On that note. Please watch the reunion as well❤
Finishing all Friends is definitely a journey but then you'll start a new journey; rewatches. Friends is such a feel good rewatch show. It's there when you need it.
I rewatch more than once a year and I still get into it every single time
It really is it’s my comfort show
You could say....
They'll be there for you 😏
it’s funny how long the first watch feels then everytime you watch it after it just feels shorter and shorter
I have a tradition that I always rewatch it when I move into a new place. Something about unpacking with it on in the background is so comforting
After finishing all the seasons, watch all the bloopers. They’re just as funny as the show.
Yesss ❤
Next, the office
❤Ross slow clapping Chandler on for his first battery theft is 😂😂😂😂 😂😂
No.... for taking what the hotel owes him.
9:36 “Well this is like that… in no way.” - Jennifer Aniston’s delivery there is perfect 😂😭
My parents took a trip to Vermont once and came back with some maple candy for us. I can understand how Ross got so addicted to it.
You should watch the reunion special they did on max when you finish the series. I always include it in my rewatches now.

With a portrait of Ross 😂
Yes but don't watch the bloopers until done with show (they are not spoiler free 😉)

Buffy Cameos!:
-Dr Spafford is Principal Flutie
-Dirk is Percy West
I never realised he was Principle Flutie before!
Where/when was Dirk? I mean, who was Percy West too? Lol.
Knew the first, didn't realize the second. Nice catch! 👍

I can't believe you're almost done with the series. I remember when you first started. It's such a part of pop culture zeitgeist history. Now you're a part of it, too.
Watching two friends episode per week to get through the series is just torture. I can't imagine watching friends without +10 episode binge watch 😅
You would have hated watching it live then. Only one episode a week.
WHY DON’T YOU LIKE ME….CHAPTER ONE…my first period……
Yep that’s another line that lives in my head rent free too 😂
Just think about Lois...
You know, when I stayed at a nice hotel years ago, the battery compartment on the remote was screwed shut and there was some kind of shield inside the lamps that kept guests from taking the bulbs. 😂
I work at a nursing home and they do this with the remote controls too haha
@MsFabz9 I'm not sure why they would need to do that at nursing homes, but thanks for the info.

I can’t stand him as a manipulative, selfish “nice” guy being presented as a romantic lead, but as a chaos goblin everyone sees through, David Schimmer makes him hilariously irresistible.
Do you have a new show on deck? If not, I would highly recommend The Office and Will & Grace if you haven’t seen them!
With my diet, I could chow down an entire bag of sugar and go straight to bed and sleep
That doesn't sound much like a diet
Rachel and Joey!!!! It returns!!! ❤ (unpopular opinion I know lol) I personally love this story line. It spices things up and I like their chemistry.
I think more people would have liked them if they had a little bit of that romantic chemistry ross and Rachel have. Also, fans don't like it as well due to the actors themselves hating this storyline.
I wonder.. How many die-hard Friends fans would watch Nick react to the Gilmore Girls series?
🤔
The Alex Borstein appearance, and Family Guy Schmamily Guy, my first thought is Drella’s in the house.
I would love if you watched What we do in the shadows series, a mockumentary about vampires being roomates and going about their lives in the new world. It is among the funniest things I have ever seen. Greetings from Sweden😊
I have a friend who wasn't allowed to have much sugar, even as teens. Heck, especially as a teen. The hyper levels were off the charts!
I did actually have a massive sugar-high recently, first time in years. Though it was still far from the level that Ross was on😂
Where is Infinity War tho? 😢 (Great reaction btw)
And then it begins. The worst plot in this intire show. The only two good things is that it only lasts a few episodes and we have some of the best Ross's moments.
3 minutes ago yaaay! One of these days I’m gonna make it under a minute lol. 😂
🌸 say "Phoebe focused" finale three times fast!!
I love Charlie!!
These are the episodes i do not rewatch much and when i do i fast forward through parts..the writing for plots were beginning to really stretch thin ..anything with the whole Joey/ Rachael thing gets on my nerves.
im gonna be like joey when he turned 30 when you finish this show. why god why
There’s a 10th season
Ross's reaction to that situation???
Got to your thoughts at the end, I didn’t realize so many people disliked the Joey x Rachel arc?! I was always a big fan of it and really liked them together 😂
Me too.
Loving the Friends reactions like oh. My. Gawd! Commenting with a movie suggestion: Cloud Atlas. Kinda older maybe it will clear, lol See ya later. 🦆🐤
Wait, we're just meeting Charley now?!
Friends Season 10 Soon
Next mcu movie pls
.... didnt you do Buffy? We got Flutie and Percy or whatever. It's basically a crossover
I know you’re behind with infinity war but what about black panther here on youtube!!!!!
When are you going back to The Office?
I'll come out as the one person who liked Joey and Rachel together. I'm sorry.
I'm with you mate
Me too! 😎 I love some of their scenes together and they are pretty wholesome overall
I loved them as well.
Me too

Congratulations on getting this far Nick( like it was hard right? 😂) it’s been great going in this journey with you.
It’s a bitter sweet ending but the good thing is… F.R.I.E.N.D.S is forever you can always rewatch it.
On that note. Please watch the reunion as well❤
Something happened bro? Are you okay?
