Sage advice, especially for newer resellers! I have an extensive block list (145 in less than 3 years). I have no issue blocking people who are the least little bit annoying because I know if they're annoying me before a purchase they're likely to annoy me even more later on. I'm old and have zero time for shenanigans
I had never blocked anyone until I watched one of your videos about 6-8 months ago. Now I have a pretty big blocked list and adding to it. Your videos are very informative and fun, thanks for all you do. Merry Christmas to you and the family!!! And a happy new year!!
You are so correct. I had the "series of question" customer that ended up in a complaint about the item then demanded a refund. I addressed the issue and gave a refund, but I blocked them. Also, if someone goes straight to return (I have a no return policy) - if they don't contact me first - it is an automatic block. I also had a person that returned an item that was different item - I blocked them. These type of people need to be blocked to learn a lesson - we all need to do this.
I block people constantly. Every person that returns for a BS reason, asks dumb questions that are answered in the listing. People that message me multiple times, etc. Customers that send offers that are laughable, insta-block. Blocking customers is a good practice, and does not hurt you. My blocklist is probably a few hundred long. Great video.
Cancel sale and block media player buyers when address is a small warehouse with unit or suite number. These are scammers who will steal internal parts and abuse Ebay returns. You can sell them a remote, but never the player!
I'm happy to have found you. I'm a habitual blocker and I'm not sorry about it. I mostly sell on poshmark and I follow about 2% of the advice the resellers on RUclips offer. I like the honesty here
Paige, as a reseller myself, i have received from Ebay in my email promoting another sellers item with the headline “this seller offers free returns”. Most likely an item I comp’d earlier.
Another quality video. I also block people. I've always wondered if eBay ever looks at how many times a user appears in a block list. Since feedback for buyers is useless, instead of feedback, it should show how many returns they've initiated. 😄
I had one asked dozens of questions and didn't hear from him for two weeks and then he sends a message why I have doubled up on my item for two different price. I spent ages looking for this double up I think it was more of a g up from him. I end up blocking him and after I give buyers three questions and then I block them, cheers Graham
Who also makes it onto my Sir-Block-A-Lot block list? The buyers who would like to have additional pictures and then don't buy. The buyers who think the ebay message function is a way to find new pen pals. Low Ball Offer Clowns. The I-don't-get-my-mail-buyers.
Ive got a horror film idea. Basically its a classic haunted house story but only the dog can see the ghost and the characters soon end up moving from room to room based on the dog's reactions...i think it could work....
Bro one foot.. I watched you for a while.. true story 🎉my wife and I were watching your RUclips waiting in car for the bins.. you mentioned Electric Chess boards😮 being expensive.. I walked into bins and found Novag obsidian 😅 if I wasn’t watching you and just heard you say that I would not of touched. lol I also found a cutco knives set that sold for 125$ overnight.
I block all the same people. I just blocked someone with zero feedback and 5 questions about an item as if I was the manufacturer of said item. I put detailed photos and a non AI description in all my listings. If you don't know what you're buying, figure it out with the internet machine in your pocket!
Thanks for the video Paige. My only complaint being that when you held up the worthless Pokémon card, I anxiously waited for a minute and a half, like Pavlov’s dog awaiting a steak dinner, thinking you were about to eat some more paper goods.
There are 2 types that 100% get a block. Ask a stupid question that tells me you're lazy or don't read and those that send me an offer I have declined or countered from them already. No means no lol.
Wow, I would have watched that movie! I'm a big horror fan! Don't stop writing, horror needs new blood! Have you seen The First Omen on Hulu? Does it have flaws, yes, but it's a fun watch!
Floyd should have opened a second shop in Montpelier. It would have made economic sense given the cost of retail/commercial space at the time. Plus Montpelier had a higher class of customers. Maybe Floyd could have moved to Montpelier leaving Mayberry in his rear view. Getting away from Barney and Aunt Bea would have been worth it.
I got blocked because I put in a lowball offer on a sports card. My first offer was a starting point. Nope, the seller blocked me. I’ve been on ebay since 1997 with 100% feedback. I’ve spent hundreds of thousands on cards and I got blocked for making a lowball offer. He couldn’t counter? Sellers are just as bad, or worse, than buyers……
😂😂😂 how you going to get mad at that? If I was selling something and you offered me half of what it was worth I’d be turned off too. Not saying I’d block you … but that’s just moronic
I think your perspective is off on this. Most people don't view offers as "just a starting point" or a request to haggle. They view any offer as a serious offer. From that perspective, a lowball number comes across as a somewhat entitled announcement that they don't really value the item, or my time and efforts.

Gotta add any customer that gives personal information for sympathy or charity discounts.
I need to remember that when I revisit this topic again a year from now.
@onefootflipper I thought you might have left it out because it's too divisive.
@@RetrObscurity People already get super offended about this subject in general.
@onefootflipper How dare they get offended, that pisses me off! 😁

You sell on eBay … you take returns … doesn’t matter you say “no returns”
@@TrollHunterxXx If eBay forces my hand then okay but I'm not advertising I'll accept returns.

If you sell one of a kind items block tons of people.
This is absolutely correct! New people take notes. We've been blocking most of these folks too.

One foot flipper the Dikembe Mutumbo of Ebay
sorry to the people who really are sensitive and allergic 🙏 you know who you are. those that fake it for personal gains or attention 🖕🖕
really enjoyed this video
I've only blocked 3 people so far. but when you get questions you know there is good money and there is bad money that will not be worth the trouble
Great content!!!!!!! Seems like a blocked customer list would be a valuable item, yet I didn’t find one for sale on eBay!!!!! Very odd!
They are really only worth sharing if you get the list from someone else with your same specialty.
Got to love the ones that make an offer, you accept and they never pay for it.
A dumb new "feature" of eBay's. If a seller makes an offer, it's a legal contract. If a buyer makes an offer, it's fluff and air.
All of these block customer rules you have are 💯 percent correct. I agree 👍
"Let somebody else have the joy of dealing with them!" 🤣🤣🤣

I am not 100 percent sure that anyone who asked for more pictures ever actually bought the item.
@@onefootflipper as a rule, you can block the buyers who ask for more pictures immediately. Saves time. I can't remember a single sale.

It is indeed Mount Pilot.
@@onefootflipper Well that just changes everything.
Floyd would never ban Andy. Maybe Barney but never Andy. everyone likes Andy. Why would he ban Andy?
Agreed, I used Andy because he is the main character and because Barney often conjures up an image of a purple dinosaur or a cartoon caveman.
@@onefootflipper You really had no choice but to use Andy.
