Thanks for the video! I used this to season my new YS640. One thing to note is that it produced a LOT more grease than I expected. I had to quickly run to the store to get a coffee can to offload the grease out of the bucket.
Great video, Thanks. I just ordered a 640 today and am wondering if in your opinion it is alright to put tin foil on the grease shield while seasoning or would you suggest leaving the foil off? I try to keep mine as clean as possible and to reduce cleanup but would like your recommendation......Well I guess "Get Your Grill On" is not responding anymore.........Dang It!
I'd season it without foil then you can add the foil when cooking.. Just make sure on the edges foil isn't sticking ou because it'll block the flow of air and circulation
No we do not at this time Yoders are running 6 - 10 weeks right now due to the new ACS We have the pellet grill displays We have a Durango, Cheyenne and Wichita display Our Kingsman working display should be here at the store around July 15th

Yes, it does produce a lot of grease but it actually a good thing for seasoning the pit really good
Thanks, lights quicker than i thought. Got a YS1500 coming so this was really useful
Thanks for the in depth video, tired of looking at BBQ fluff videos from the MFG., with the elaborate music, and effects
When you burned it in at 400 degrees before you season it do you leave all the grates and everything in it?

I don’t understand why a smoker with this price tag has an old school crappy lcd screen that you can’t read in sunlight.
That's because the "old school crappy . . . screen" does not cook your food. So that is irrelevant, Lol.
Lol you should stick with investigating homicides as your name states and leave the smoking to the pros.
That's about my only complaint. It is still the best pellet grill on the market in my opinion.
Because those old
School crappy LCD screens are more durable and won’t fuck up on you years down the road.
went to a local place here in utah they are coming out with a new controller in a few months
