Thank you SO much for this video! Hooping straight has always been the most difficult thing for me. I can see from your tutorial that I've been making it way more complicated than it needs to be. I didn't get grid templates with my hoops and had no idea how to hoop straight. Using the machine this way is genius! Thank you again!
This is great except for the titanium needle part. My shop does not recommend them. They are hard and if the needle was to break, a titanium needle can cause damage to the machine.
Hi, Tyler, I've watched beaucoup videos on floating. This one is the absolute best. Thanks for sharing your technique. Hope to see you soon in Lexington!! Carol
so we both know different materials have different thicknesses, ....etc so this is one of many technique to embroider sweaters. it's a combo of preference and necessity in come.
Adam Steeves sometimes it’s easier to deal with while floating. Oddly shaped things, small things, but most importantly you don’t have hoop burn this way. If your fabric can be hooped traditionally, it’s a great option, but somethings this works best.
Dude. I’ve been using my machine for a year and never saw this PERFECT centering technique for floating!!! Thank you!!!
Very good tutorial. You did an excellent job of explaining everything and I could hear you very clearly.
I always float everything, it’s so much easier than trying to hoop, especially with larger, bulky items.

Omg you are awesome in showing this! I had trouble with floating and your video clarified.
Best clear, precise tutorial I've seen re this very tricky subject. Thank you 😊
Thanks for the tutorial! Wanted to point out that you need a "topper" water soluble when embroidering on sweatshirts, minky, etc.
BH Sanchez is this so the stitches don’t like..sink into the fabric? I’m trying to research embroidery before investing in it

I didn’t know about using a titanium needle! I usually check my needle frequently and wipe with alcohol.
Excellent tutorial! Thank you so much
@@paulasiefert2059 Your welcome! Glad to hear you learned something new!

Thanks so much for the feedback!
What a great video. Thanks!
Thank you for this video. I am a newbie. Where would I buy a titanium needle? Also, what are you using to mark your sweatshirt?
the bob ross of sewing
Excellent explanation! Thank you! 🤗
Super helpful, thank you
Do you have a tutorial on how to embroider on a bulky polyester jacket?
Very good. Thanks
Merci pour votre démonstration.
Please could I ask what spray adhesive you recommend?. Thanks for a super video.
I prefer Sulky 2000. It's much easier to control the spray amount and it doesn't gum up your machine like some can.
What needle would you recommend for a baby lock flourish 2? If you can post a link please of the titanium needle, thank you in advance!!!😊🙏🏽
We recommend size 11!
do you have any video on how to embroider berets?
Great job Tyler
Is there a way to do this same technique but on the arm of the sweatshirt? Close to the wrist area?
You’d have to undo the sleeve seam to get the wrist area flat
Thanks very much this was really helpful.
Hi! I’m new to embroidery can someone tell me the benefit of using the floating method?
so we both know different materials have different thicknesses, ....etc so this is one of many technique to embroider sweaters. it's a combo of preference and necessity in come.

Someone please answer
Chino xBoi this is the Baby Lock Destiny II. Yes you can import designs to it. Via flash drive or USB direct connect.
Is it too late to answer...
Thanks
thank you
Thank you.
What spray adhesive did you use?
Kay Goebel 505 Spray. www.thomassewingcenter.com/shop/c/p/505-Spray-and-Fix-Fabric-Adhesive-622oz-x28224384.htm
How about T-shirts?
cutflower this video would work for T-shirt’s as well.
Beginner question: Why float? Why not just use the ring and secure the fabric into the ring? Maybe it is a dumb question with a simple answer?
Adam Steeves sometimes it’s easier to deal with while floating. Oddly shaped things, small things, but most importantly you don’t have hoop burn this way. If your fabric can be hooped traditionally, it’s a great option, but somethings this works best.
This make no sense,

Secured the hoop on the machine then do the adhesive is the most stupid method of all. You are fooling everyone who trusted you.
