This is one of my favorite videos you’ve done. Sinularia and lobophytum are at the top of my list of favorite corals and they’re so under appreciated in the reef hobby.
Very good example of some soft corals' video to show people how they actually love strong light! They love halides! Thanks for sharing. You lucky boy! Love the video!!
Jake . I don’t know why you only have 50 k members . I subscribe to your channel and many others and I think you have one of the best contents by far. You should work for National Geographic or something. Keep up the good work man!
Nice smooth under water footage. I love seeing a forest of natural coral. All of my footage from free diving to view coral is so shaky it’s like an enchanting world on way too much caffeine lol. Never had the experience of coral being so close to the surface you can just snorkel like that
Simply wow! Would love to snorkel there! That softie-garden amazing. I love em too, have some dif.species in my mixed reef - at night with only royal light - stunners, golden shiny nearly like a good ol golden torch. Awesome video Jake!
Great video! Loved seeing all the softies, can't wait for the sps. I had a really nice acro from the Solomon Islands I lost more then 10 years ago I still think about. Hope we see corals from here back in North America soon.
Fantastic soft coral reef, glad to see you are giving the soft corals some screen time as they seem to be under appreciated lately compared to stony corals and the latest zoa craze. Thanks Jake :)
Only an hour snorkeling? I'm usually in there for several hours (4-5) before I realize how much time has gone by. You're a better man than me. :D Great quality vids though, have to say. Good stuff. Following this.
Love the pairing choice of intro music to video... Interesting substrate and rubble things are growing out of ... You can literally dive off the porch into your own massive reef for the week... what eatable seafood makes it to dinner table?
the sun is roughly 2200 umols/m2/s at the equator at noon at sea level - I'd say in three feet of water its still right around 1200-1500 umols, but hard to measure due to all the lensing by the waves which causes higher peaks
One thing aquarium channels have problems with is getting to the point. Half way through the video and we are not to the point Anyways, awesome video. I liked it
Can you tell me the plant that’s seen growing with the donut coral around 5:26? I would love to add a few to my soft coral tank but have never seen them for sale.
Come on Jake, softies don’t shine they are brown and boring as your vlog showed - this was proved by the only colour in the piece being a long tentacled anemone and the monti’s and milli’s. Only a marine biologist can see the beauty in softies 😂🤣
Rewatching jake videos, RIP Jake hopefully you are in coral heaven taking care of them.
Rip jake. Guy had the the best selection of music in these intros.
I can tell by the shimmer this reef was lit by Kessils :)
Nah illumagic
Lol! Kessils!
Ecotech fanboys saying that Kessil shimmer is exaggerated. No it isn't.
I’m so jealous. I love seeing them in their natural environment
We will certainly miss you Jake!
Such beautiful footage! Soft corals have always been and always will be my favorite corals in the hobby. Thank you for sharing this footage with us.
I appreciate you sharing your personal experience, thank you 🐟🐬

stunning video well done Reef Builders!!
I love this. Engaging local communities is the only way we're going to save the reefs.
Just stunning. I don’t know anyone on YT in the aquarium space that comes CLOSE to your production and knowledge. Love it!

Thanks for sharing what you see. Keep them coming. I can't wait to add more SPS .
Great filming with commentary. Any level of reefer or viewer can appreciate. Can wait for the next dive.
This is why im subscribed to this channel! You have some seriously great content Jake! Can't wait for more videos 😊
That was awesome to watch!
Really enjoyed this reefer s narration of diving/snorkeling! Would love to see more videos like this
Great video Jake, love that you showed the softies too, as lots of people seem to just concentrate on sps or lps .
Awesome stuff, great to see all these corals in a natural habitat, and really awesome that you are trying to restart the coral farming in the area.
Wish I could get there.don’t think I’d ever get bored exploring the waters.
Rip Mr Adams
awesome video, thanks for sharing ....
Incredible!

So different, so beautiful. Really nice video.

Just mesmerizing! Love from India.
Ty I love it.
Interesting to see the distribution of coral in their natural environment.
That baby fish nursery was literally just like in Finding Nemo lol
Yo Tim from unique corals what’s good bro! You didn’t tell me and you and Jake were doing a crazy trip like this?!?🤩
Those enormous sarcophytons though! What incredible animals!
Great work man , Ur passionate I love it
Awesome video. Your so lucky.
Love the pairing choice of intro music to video... Interesting substrate and rubble things are growing out of ... You can literally dive off the porch into your own massive reef for the week... what eatable seafood makes it to dinner table?

Jake Adams is awesome awesome video
@ 11:35 🤩🤩 I love it!!
Jake, could you please get a par reading on that millepora for us? Look at the shading around it from surface agitation?
the sun is roughly 2200 umols/m2/s at the equator at noon at sea level - I'd say in three feet of water its still right around 1200-1500 umols, but hard to measure due to all the lensing by the waves which causes higher peaks
Thx, appreciate the info.... Gonna make me do some math of umols to par 😏.
One thing aquarium channels have problems with is getting to the point. Half way through the video and we are not to the point
Anyways, awesome video. I liked it
Lov it i want to go!!!
Dang. Looked for you at RAP. No such luck. Hope you made it here in Orlando and had fun!
Still here ;-)
Hate I missed meeting you!
Were you guys actually picking out bits for the farms this trip, or just scouting?
so cool man!
Awesome video. Is there a way to shoot actinic light bright enough to bring out all the florescence on camera?
I have that same hat
Loved the vid
Limited edition, I only made 12!
amazing! ty ty ty!
Can you tell me the plant that’s seen growing with the donut coral around 5:26? I would love to add a few to my soft coral tank but have never seen them for sale.
'Paradise' ... no disagreement here. any plans for coral diving over in Tahiti (Bora Bora) ?
Makes me miss Fiji 😭
Song? At the beginning
sorry out of the reefing topic but what is the song's title at the beginning?
What coral is that at 3:51? the white one?
I let a 75 gallon become taken over by Waving Hand Anthelia. A species tank can look very natural.
what is the name of the intro song?
thats watz up
Are u bringing some corals back?
that was in.credible.
Man. Aren’t you tempted to grab some stone cutters and take a little bit of coral home?
