@@henryavila6955yes. Each generation doubles in a family tree. You have two parents, four grandparents, 8 great grandparents, 16 great great grandparents, and so on. By the time you reach Charlemagne, you would have 2^40 great-whatever grandparents. 2^40 is about a trillion. Problem is, at the time of Charlemagne, there weren’t a trillion people in the world. Which means anyone with European descent could trace their lineage all the way back to him. Caesar died ~700 years before Charlemagne, because they were both European, Caesar is in his family tree somewhere, though probably not as a direct descendant. I couldn’t find this info quickly to see if any of his illegitimate children had a line that survived antiquity. But, if there were records, you could definitely trace Charlemagne’s ancestry back to someone in Rome that connects to Caesar.
More of this type of thing, please. ❤
Didn’t know they were THAT closely related
Finally I can see an animation about it!
I didn’t know that until now so thank you for making me know this
Very interesting - thanks James ❤🤍💙

Only those who would have European or possibly North African descent would be related to Caesar.
