@@JaketheMongoose A new GM isn't going to come in and solely listen to the current scouts. Did they tell him to trade down 20 spots for a ham sandwich in return. Did Kwesi and crew know that L Cine would still be available, especially cuz he was so highly coveted. Don't blame "Rick's scouts" for a very dumb trade. Addison fell right into Kwesi's lap just like K Hamilton did. Had Kwesi stood pat we'd have an all-pro safety on the squad for the next 3 -4 years.

One of my problems with the Evans pick was taking him over Riq Woolen. Woolen was bigger and faster and was felt to be raw and grabby, but the traits I heard the Vikings spout about Evan’s, Woolen has in spades.

If Kwesi can't find more than two players that are heavy contributors then it is time to look for another GM. Moving back from pick 11 to the late teens and picking up an additional 2nd or 3rd round pick might be the best move to make with all of the holes they have on the two lines. Hopefully some of those are filled in free agency.

Think the Eagles passing on JJ aren't having the same discussion? Every team drafts 1st round busts about every 2-3 years. It happens, move on.
If Winfield Jr doesn't get tagged, get him. Draft DE and C in rounds 1,2 then get a stud DT and CB in FA. Draft for depth after that. Let Kirk and Hunter walk. We'd have 2 years to find a QBOTF and build a powerhouse team. May go 7-10 again next year but every single team besides NE who's won a SB in the past decade had a couple losing records before ascending. Our problem is preferring mediocrity over a chance at greatness.

The head coach is weak and too conservative. KOC doesn’t know how to win football games. That’s the bottom line.. He worry and focusing on life little things that no matter. What should matter to him is progress and winning the Superbowl in five years. The head coach either has it or not.. A football team doesn’t need more years added to the head coach to confirm he’s not person to lead the team to a championship.

The problems with Lewis Cine come down to him not being mentally capable of responding correctly to what is happening on the field. If Ingram doesn't make a jump to being above average all-around guard in his 3rd year, then he will never be more than he is, the weak link on the offensive line. I hope all these players prove me wrong but 2022 was the worst draft in Vikings history, it make Rick Spielman look like a genius.

I'm not a fan of all the "2022 draft stinks" takes as if one draft class is the reason the team has problems. Look back at the Speilman drafts from 2016--2021. Most of those years (except 2020) only had 1 quality starter. The great contributor from 2019 was Bradbury. 2016 literally had no one. KAM gets and "F" for his first draft with the caveat he had to work with Rick's scouting and a short offseason. Last year was better. The cap is finally in decent shape. That said, they need a really good offseason or the rest of the division is going to leave them behind.
    And please let Kirk walk.

Often players disappear for a year after a serious injury and then comeback. There was zero reason to rush Cine on to the field with Metellus and co playing at such a high level. Cine and Booth are both elite athletes. Their time will come.
