Too much omega 6 can be inflammatory, almonds are rich in omega 6. Walnuts and macadamia nuts have the best ratio of omega 3 to omega 6. I still have other nuts sometimes but some walnuts every day in salad and cereal. I did other things too but no longer need blood pressure medication due to paying attention to what is inflammatory. Thank you for discussing this, you picked excellent anti-inflammatory foods which are so important to consume regularly. Organic as much as possible as some of those chemicals are both carcinogenic and inflammatory.
Walnuts are loaded with polyunsaturated fats, but the omega 3 they contain is ALA, not DHA or EPA. Your body cannot use ALA so you just end up getting a large dose of omega 6 making their 6:3 ratio misleading. If omega 6 is a concern, the only nut to eat is macadamia because it's mostly monosaturated fat. It's also low in anti-nutrients like phytic acid.

Oxalates are very rarely a problem in the amounts that most of us eat greens. If you have a kidney disease you should maybe be a little bit more attentive. There are a lot of greens that do not contain a lot of oxalates and therefore can be consumed without problem (e.g. kale and broccoli) also, oxalates can be reduced when you cook your greens shortly in water and then drain the cooking water - although this is only needed when you have problems with your kidneys and each huge amounts of very oxalate rich veggies. What can be problematic over time is for example of you eat large amounts of raw spinach daily (e.g. 200 g in smoothies or salads on a daily basis over a long period of time). There are very helpful pdfs of fruits and veggies and their oxalate content available online - you can check that out. There are a lot of products that are very rich in oxalates that i never thought about (teas, coffee, chocolate, parsley etc.) And others like kale that are not very rich in it. Also, if you consume enough calcium and srink enough water, oxalates are usually not problematic for healthy individuals.

Now I know why G-d made Nebuchadnezzar eat grass for 7 years when he went nuts.
I just purchased Mina Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Morocco, healthier or just hype??
and how many salads do we have to eat? 6?
Don't eat and no worries
@@Hippy2021 lol. Many years ago I could only drink Metrx shakes due to a medical issue and I lost 40 lbs in 6 months and felt absolutely phenomenal!
Longevity and specifically - healthspan are connected to mobility so I wonder if you would be kind enough to do this video topic:
Please can you do a deep dive on "wear and tear" arthritis of the hip. Conventional doctors just say wait for it to get bad enough then have a hip replacement!
No advice on diet, fasting, body muscle to gat ratio, exercise, gut health or supplements etc.
I feel taking high strength painkillers daily then other medications to mitigate the negative side effects of the painkillers on stomach and then layering that with advice to have a biscuit or toast doesn't seem to promote overall health. Pain management at any cost on full body health and quality of life.
Try msm, glucosamine, collagen.
Walking helps. Walk as much as you can, daily. Keep moving
As mentioned above walking, then you can try out qi gong and tai chi which have helped a lot of people with arthritis and then incorporate turmeric as a very potent anti inflammatory. Also, check out devils claw as a supplement. I do not know if it is true, but i read (apparently is was published in a scientific paper) that olive oil contains a ibuprofen similar compound and it was shown to reduce arthritis pain when applied topically. Also, include lots of fruits and vegetables when you are not already doing so and eat fatty fish and olive oil.
I agree with all these comments but also include proteolytic enzymes such as serrapeptase. These enzymes break down unwanted waste, bad proteins, excess fibrin, etc, and moves it out of your body. There's another product by Living Well Nutraceuticals called Heal-n-Soothe which states it reduces muscle discomfort from exercise, promotes muscle recovery, supports joint comfort supports healthy circulation and a healthy immune response. These enzymes must be taken on an empty stomach to work👍
@@jilll4649 Also get it with boswellia in it works even better!
What must be the income level to live like they say?
6000 euros?
I eat green leafy vegetables only after they have passed through my cows and then, I eat the cows.
You funny
Sardines?🐟 Broccoli?🥦 Beetroot?

Chlorophyll or carotenoids?
People worrying about calories is a joke. Carbs are the problem.Eat meat.
Hi, don't people count the amount of calories in the carbohydrate food they're eating? Then calculate that into their total daily calorie intake?
Lots of oxalate in dark greens 2 😳
All nuts have a kernel, the part of the nut we eat.
Nice plugging the book. 6 min in and she didn't mention it

Oxalates
Why doesn't he talk about defense chemicals in vegetables
@@fryerobert093 find out yourself online. Plenty youtube videos to explore
@@Laura-je2uw I guess we get our information from different doctors! But that's okay!
@@Laura-je2uw it was winter so I mdae a hot salad i.e. veggie soup. I put in bag of spinach, why not, if u can eat a whole bag of lettuce why not spinach? Besides it shrinks. Carrots, onions, celery, elbow macroni, kept all the water the veggies were boiled in, added Collage Inn broth which had msg. Thought no big deal (but now I know it's not good for me) Delicious! I ate it within a week. Did this a few times. My kidneys are now loaded with oxalates. Spinach is the highest oxalate content. Eat it and feel the stickiness on ur teeth that's the oxalate binding 2 the calcium on ur teeth. I suppose if u eat too many oxalates drink milk or some other form of calcium for the oxalate 2 bind with to exit ur body
I was at Sprouts this week and could only find one yogurt, dairy or nondairy, that did not contain an undesirable ingredient. Frustrating
Make your own yogurt in instant pot or crock pot with grass fed organic milk. RUclips videos.
You might want to check out kefir.
I like Forager brand unsweetened plain probiotic cashew milk non-dairy yogurt. It has cleaner and fewer ingredients. Pretty happy with it. They have a sweetened vanilla version but it has too much sugar for my keto lifestyle.
@@alwaysright5901 thank you for the recommendation!
@@brookedermpa You're welcome. Hope you like it like I do. Btw, I forgot to mention it's also organic 👍
Does broccoli count as a dark leafy green 🤔
Yes
I think broccoli is considered to be in the cruciferous vegetables category but one of the healthiest foods on the planet. Love it.
i think grilled or roasted MUSHROOMS are essential ‼️
GBOMBS
I do not like salmon. Any other suggestions?
For omega 3, plus other nutrients, try flaxseed.
Sardines
Halibut is great and I think it tastes much better than salmon.
A lifetime of oxalates take years to get rid of (spinach/kale/almonds).
What if I don’t eat seafood…can I replace it with high quality chicken or eggs?
Algae oil is an excellent source or Krill oil.
Take cod liver oil instead of eating fish.
Stop eating and save money
Red meat and eggs..
Dark leafy greens compared to red meat is like comparing a tricycle to ferrari - dont get me wrong - I love salad, arugala, even kale, chard, etc.
but vegetables cannot hold a candle to high quality grass fed locally sourced red meat
Eggs ..whole eggs + spinach
