Ray Evernham attributed his present IROC program in part to you. What a compliment. One small detail of Ray that really takes me back to 50's and 60's is his hair style. Thanks Mitchell and Logan
It shows the esteem that Mitchell and Logan are held.🙌🏻🍻
Thank you Benny. When Ray says that it helps me put things into perspective. That I’m not just some kid from the grandstands anymore but can actually become a link in the chain in this racing world we all love. To keep this stuff going and help make it better. That’s my goal anyways.
@@R.Sole88109Mitchell and Logan?
@@purwantiallan5089
Yeah, Mitchell, the man with the moustache and Logan, the bonny lass that rides it.😁
Ray Evernham is an absolute icon and a downright G. For him and to go out of his way to give you legit props … I’m not sure how much better it could get. Look how far you’ve come from wrenching on Robby Gordon‘s old RV (or Yello Belly!) 👍👍👍
At 84 yrs old I have watched intently all of the IROC races and this video brought back lots of memories and I thank you so much for sharing. Love your videos!!
Age is just a number Jerry 💪🏻 glad you’re here
This channel is literally a NASCAR history book. Amazing piece work and history!
Thanks again!
Evernham's garage is one of the nicest cleanest and most well laid out places on earth. Super cool 😎
Ya I noticed that too ,clean and well organized shop..
Yall heard the shoes squeak? Lol
I learn things every time I walk in there. Always taking mental notes lol
@Stapleton42 I couldn't imagine being able to hang with Ray
@@AClayton172Evernham is such a legendary icon in NASCAR history along with Rick Hendrick.
Evernhams enthusiasm is contagious.
It really is. Great leadership quality to have as well
Man I wish I could go. I remember going to IROC races at Michigan international speedway with my dad in the 80s and 90s.
Richie Evans car behind him is super cool.. what a piece of history. Love to hear that thing run..
Ray Evernham is one of the smartest guys to ever touch a racecar. Just a class act and an icon. So cool for him to give you credit as well, you deserve it for sure
Thank you Aaron!
Those IROC Firebirds are a fkn thing of beauty. They are so sleek. I had a neighbor almost 20 years ago that some how got his hands on a white one, my memory says it was a white Tommy Kendall car. He had it for a few years and replaced it with one of Sterling Marlin's silver bullets. This guy didn't race, he was just a huge Nascar fan and had disposable income. I can't remember how many Busch series cars he had over the years. Whatever race car he had in his garage at the time, he bought the corresponding production car and would paint/decal them and drive the production cars only. 😅
The IROC Camaros are my favorite. I have a red production model from 1986 in my garage.
The IROC firebirds are really some of the greatest looking and sounding race cars of all time. They look so much better with the extra wheelbase over the road car too
@@Stapleton42 It would be cool to see an original IROC Porsche up close.
@dannot-etc
That’s cool but a little bit weird lol
all those cars in one place is a dream!!!!!!!!!!!
WoW how awesome would it be for Ray to bring IROC racing back what a dream come true for sure.
He tried but the Name is expensive to buy. That's what the recent series that shut down was about.
@@ValorMotorsports_deucemuleskinRay owns the name. It’ll be back with time as a modern series I guarantee it
So awesome! I wish i was closer so i could take my IROC/ ASA inspired Camaro out on the track and show it at this event and meet you. So cool. Cant wait to see the conveage of the show.
Wonderful to see a collection of IROC cars from the past brings back a lot of memories for myself.
Once a racer always a racer, ole Ray is amazing!! So much passion. Thanks for sharing!
@@Timbo428CJ This is a good example of why a whole generation has left NASCAR. Their all IROC cars now, with spoiled wreckers that are TV ready.
Couldn't agree more! Thank you Timbo
@@CaptainsLog73i hope we could see IROC cars again in IMSA very soon.
My gosh, Ray is so knowledgeable on all things cars, simply amazing to watch and listen to. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I really enjoy the preservation of these cars. The IROC series was very underrated. After my IROC Z-28, a friend of mine had at Dodge IROC car. It was an early 90’s Daytona if my memory serves me right. I bet he is eating as much crow as I am over selling a legit Dealer IROC Car.
My guess is if you met Ray in public randomly you would NEVER know who this guy is. Other than a genuine car guy. Talk about being humble
Looked forward to see this car from Ray Evernham at Lime Rock this Sunday!😊
I love the IROC cars are sick I had a model of that car that was the big one don’t know the size but I loved building it and loved the car of that era !!👍🏻😎🇺🇸🦅😇🙏 🏁
Just found you. Soooo many memories in that shop. Thank You
Thanks. When you are pouring motor oil, have the spout of the can on the top so you don’t trap air inside the can. This way allows the oil to flow smoothly and not gurgle.
I did it the hard way on purpose lol
I hope you realize the impact that you have had on nascar history and educating every one about it
The history you show is what was the best years for me because of my age and following nascar for over 65 years
Believe me you have become a voice in nascar history and i am sure many people like me never get enough Thank you so much
Thank you very much
Ray is an AMAZING ambassador 😊
I wish it was going to be on tv I used to watch IROC every time it was on!!
This is so cool. I will be at the event and look forward to getting some of my personal photos autographed. I also look forward to seeing you there. Safe Travels and God Bless!
I literally could not be more excited for the IROC Race!!
Thank you for sharing this stuff man. Evernham is an absolute treasure to our sport
Thank you for being here for it!
Love the old IROC cars!
God I miss the IROC racing. It was some of the best racing I ever saw. Bumping shoving arguments. Just great
Thanks Mitchell for this great update about Rays devotion to the entire racing community! Ray , has been highly underrated as a brilliant innovator , ( head of the curve ) fabricator, Car chief , and team owner , plus his personal early racing career on the Jersey Shore .
I know he’s garnered recognition, but I think most people don’t realize that there are very few as dedicated to our sport as Ray is !
Keep on bringing these solid gold videos they are priceless!!
i reakky hope its going to be on TV i used to love IROC i have always wanted it to come back
Best News I've heard since 2002!! 👍👌✊🤟
IROC series was a great one back in the day!
Awesome video. You are really doing a great job in preserving history. I have a 1989 Iroc Z sitting next to my 2004 Intimidator SS Monte Carlo in my garage.
Very cool!
I do love me some IROC cars! I really enjoyed the behind the scenes video and look forward to the video of the event!
Love to see these cars again, can't wait to see them in action. Thanks for filming them!
All old school cats loved IROC. Love you, Ray, for keeping it alive. Thanks, to you, Mitch for also keeping the dream alive with videos like this. Well done as always. #bringbackiroc!
This is literally what made me love Camaros and Firebirds. I watched all the IROC series and Trans Am races back in the day, and then when RUclips came out, I watched what I could on it. Man, and you got one of the greatest compliments from *HIM* ...bro you are doing such a great service to all of American Racing History ❤
Thank you very much. We are just getting started 💪🏻
Great video I am from Connecticut I now live in Texas I can't wait to see the video from Lime Rock...
I Watched the 'IROC' series in its Hay Day, Wide World of Sports Televised most of Series when it was Broadcast, Loved seeing the Different Drivers from other Series Compete, Looking forward to Watching, Thank you 'Ray for' letting Michell show the Car's & interview you, JROSE Daytona Beach FL
I loved watching the IROC on abc sports when I was a kid . All the same cars and just driver ability . The sound of the engines at speed was awesome .
So freakin cool! Thanks for covering the rich history of IROC and NASCAR. You are the man Mitch (Ray is pretty cool too)
What an awesome journey so glad iroc is coming back and in the hands of Mr. Evernham u couldnt ask for better cant wait to see what the new cars look like. I remember watching in 98 when Jeff Gordon won on a rain shortened race and years later i saw that car at HMS and have a die cast of it too. Really wish i could see Jeff behind the wheel again i know he has back issues but a man can dream right 😂
Both of you are doing amazing work.
I'm just glad Iroc has a chance to be big again
I loved the IROC series. Great racing with great drivers.
IROC should definitely be a series that comes back. Looking forward to the Lime rock video.
their are millions of people that would love to see iroc back !!!!
Awesome video I loved the iroc series when it was around thank you so much for sharing this history
I can't thank you and Ray for bringing awareness for the IROC Racing Festival that is happening this weekend!
*I watched a lot of the IROC races as a teenager.* The closest I got to owning an IROC was buying a 1991 Teal Green, T-Top, Camaro RS new. My 1971 and 1991 Camaros were my favorite two cars and I've owned a lot of sports and Muscle cars over the years. My 71 looked stock but it was built. I miss those cars. *Thank you for covering this event and bdhind the scenes.*
Glad you’re here for it!!
We'll be there Saturday the 20th, to say I'm looking forward to it would be an understatement. Can't wait to see these cars in person, hear and smell them!
See you there!
I’m a huge IROC fan and I love what Ray is doing! This is great stuff here I love the video! Thanks for getting all this awesome stuff out to us! IROC needs to make a TRUE comeback
You know you're doing an awesome job when Ray compliments you. What an awesome comvo. I would love to be a fly in the wall at that place.Another fire video.😎🫡
@@nelsona779 thank you sir!
IROC Camaro super exciting 🎉
History. This is awesome!
Great video Mitch, thanks!
Should be a really cool event! I always tuned in to watch IROC races. Just thought it was a great concept-the best racers, from all types of racing, competing in identical cars, on different types of tracks! A true test of a driver’s skills! Thanks again!
So happy you have these connections with the guys. I have followed Nascar and pretty much anything racing for 45+ years and I am no where close to what you have been able to see and do. Great job...!!!
I always liked the Iroc car's Thanks Mitchell and Logan!
Thank you Mitch! This is so great. Look forward to seeing the drivers, hearing their stories, and seeing the cars on the track!
Great job Mitchell! I remeber talking to you when you just moved there and you wanted to meet Ray and now he is giving you credit for helping him reach his dream with the Iroc program. This is what success looks like dude! 🤟👍👍
Thanks man 💪🏻
IROC was some of the best racing I watched growing up. Glad you did this. My first car was a 1990 IROC Camaro when i was 16 in 1992, wish i still had that car, but unfortunately it was the only car I ever totaled.
Love seeing these old IROC cars.
Had to go to your page and see if there was a prep video. I'm the dude in the Planters shirt who ran into you a couple times. Cool to see you there!
This is so awesome!! Hope you get to talk with and interview Bobby Labonte! Gonna be so cool to see the cars running and the guys driving em again! It's a huge deal!
@@jeremiahgrogan5963 We should be able to talk with Bobby! Working on doing a former shop tour with him also
@@Stapleton42 That's amazing man! so looking forward to that!
Back in my hometown people used to call me the Z Man because of how many Camaros I had. I had an 81 T top four speed I never should've sold. Ray is definitely one of racing national treasures. Such a historian who cares about the lineage of the cars.
This video is totally cool. You are one lucky guy to hang out with all the legends you get to meet. Not understating how hard you work at this. The harder you work, the luckier you get ❤
@@jameswelch4716 Thanks man. Exactly. Luck is when preparation meets opportunity. A lot of people don’t understand that!
Another fabulous job Mitchell.. I don't believe the IROC series ever got its just do it was always and also ran but back in those days they didn't run much at night especially during the 70s 80s and early 90s hopefully this is the beginning of something big and great and you're a big part of that
That would be great
That white full bodied modified on the top row beside the yellow one at the end of the video. HOLY CRAP THATS SO FREAKING COOL!!!! I want that car!!!!
Thanks for documenting all this and sharing. Cheers from Australia!
Getting some nice compliments from Ray Evernham must amazing. You guys have earned it. Congratulations Mitchel and Logan.
Thank you geno!
Great video mitch! Thanks for the detail shots of underneath the car and thinking of us model guys- much appreciated 👍
great video for sure. Rays is the man of iroc. look forward to seeing your videos from lime rock. thanks for posting
So freakin' cool! You're the best, Mr. Stapleton. :)
Enjoyed.👏 THX for "all" the close up ref. footage for us model builders. Ray keeps rockin and rolling w/ our history lessons, kool.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
I love seeing the IROC stuff. If I ever get another 4th gen Trans Am, I want to build an IROC tribute.
Thanks again for the great video. Ray is a true care taker of the iroc series. Can’t wait for the next one!
A MUST WATCH!!!!!
Another brilliant watch. Thanks 👍
Thanks for doing this video Mitch and Ray Evernham is always a pleasure! Every video I’ve ever seen Ray in was fun and educational !all the best to you and Logan
oh my the 84-89 camaros where my favorite IROC cars. I lusted after iroc camaros as a kids. I thought the street iroc camaros were so freaking cool
I know IROC was the theme for this episode. I'd like to see you cover the Modified's on the racks, like the #61 Richie Evans car.
might have talked about it in one of the other video's.
@@sirmonkey1985 we haven’t actually they’ve all been about IROC cars 😂
The Gen 1 Camaros are what I remember watching every Friday night in the summers of my youth!
I remember like it was yesterday watching the first IROC races on ABC's Wide World of Sports in 1973 with the Porsche Carrera's......between the figure skating and arm wrestling. The 1st Gen Camaro's where the Bomb!
Excited to see IROC hopefully become a series again.
More quality content from Stapleton! IROC!
Love the channel. Thank you for keeping the history of stock car racing alive
Just so you know if you turn the oil bottle so the filler neck is at the top it will pour smoother and you can tip it over further before the oil starts coming out. Try it and see😎
I was gonna offer the same piece of advice! Tim in northern TN
@@bcbloc02 Yes I know that. But that would have ruined the suspenseful moment 😂
It's amazing to watch way too many 'trained' mechanics pouring their oil the gulg-gulg way...!? Once I realized why oil quarts were made that way, no more oil on my valve covers...!!!
I remember seeing my first iroc race at Talladega. I loved them cars
Thanks Miss Logan!
Thanks Mitchell!
Thanks Ray Everham
Thank you Appreciate your time content '°°% can't believe it
This is cool! I LOVED the IROC races! There were some of the best races!
We'll be there Saturday, can't wait. Thanks for the video
So awesome Ray is such an amazing person!!! Mitch be so proud of what you’ve achieved and are continuing to achieve archiving history.
This was very cool to watch. Seeing all the cars brought back memories of the good ole' days. Thank you for making this.
Glad you’re here for it 💪🏻
You are a smooth dude, good rep for racing. I owned an 80 Z28 camaro black with all the graphics. Was a nice ride.

IROC returning on my birthday I love it 💪🏻
Thanks to the both of you for doing this video. I watched IROC in the 80's , 90's. Even seen a few races in Michigan and Talladaga. I seen Dale Sr. , AL jr. , Bobby L. , Mark M. and yes even the hated Jeff G. ( lol).
Thank you Marty!
