Hey hai awesome video !
Just a question, I noticed when you were shore jigging you clip the bail as soon as the jig hit the water and wait for it to sink. I always thought you let it sink by having the bail arm open ? Am I wrong ? And when you do it let it sink you said you count when it hits the bottom ? How do you know when it hits the bottom ?
Thank you if you answer this
Hey Nadz, you can do either and I do both sometimes! If you want the jig to free fall vertically down the water column, leaving the bait arm open and controlling the line is a good option. In this video I closed the bail arm straight away because it was windy with strong water currents and there were a lot of other anglers to my left and right that I wanted to avoid tangling lines with. I also closed the bail arm early here so the jig can fall towards me under tension. This is so I can strike if a fish took the lure on the drop. I expected the bite to be hot here as when I arrived I saw a lot of bait fish in the water, so I was anticipating a fish to bite on the initial drop.
Hope that helps answer your questions!
Appreciate you watching! More videos to come fore sure!

It's too crowded
Nice bro
Thanks bro, appreciate you watching!
das a chonky bonnie esp for sunset💦
Thanks Max! I was starting to doubt that I would catch anything cause I got to the ledge too late in the afternoon, but goes to show that you never know unless you cast a line out!
Can you use scent on the jigs bro ? Or is it a waste
It’s a bit of a waste cause the scent doesn’t stay on the jig well. Better to save the scent for soft plastics fishing
@@HaiFishing thanks mate !
This ledge the locals are so dumb, last Monday it was my first time going and I casted on higher rocks( as first time) but the locals said that those ledges were for bait fishing and spinning younneed to go down where you are standing, too many people and float pilchard fishermen won’t revisit
