I’m on the fence with this one. One of the weirdest moments was the judge telling a witness on the stand to *not* speak into the mic so no one would be able to hear. Just sketchy imo. Allen could have done it. The police and judge came off as secretive and a little sketchy. Most of the evidence was circumstantial aside from his confessions, and since it seemed like he was tortured I just don’t know how reliable his confessions were. People say he faked his mental illness but he was eating his feces and put on haldol… I don’t think he was. One of them was to his wife on the phone. She said “Why would you say that?” and he said “Because I think I did it.” Hmmm ETA I just remembered the judge kept trying to get rid of his attorneys in ways lawyers on RUclips called shady. So, idk. He could be guilty and they could also have violated his rights.
The psychologist said she discussed what was being said online with Richard during some of their sessions. I can’t believe she admitted to that. It’s hard to tell what she put in his head intentionally or unintentionally. I don’t know what to think of this case. I’m still back and forth on it.

Wow the public sure got convinced by the defense! The jury got it right!! All the sensational propaganda spread by the defense seemed to really convince folks (clearly they’re good at their job!) Much of the public seems to be giving more weight to the propaganda over the evidence put forth by the prosecution. This case is what got me so invested in true crime cases- been following in depth with a lot of others since 2017. With all the twists and turns in the investigation and then sensational stories spread by the defense it has gotten the public’s attention. So many seem to prefer believing the defense then the actual facts that from my point of view leave me feeling that the jury 💯 got it right! Richard Allen is bridge guy imo and it’s boggles my mind how folks side with such a guilty perp rather then justice for the girls. There was plenty of evidence that put together a clear picture of what happened and how Richard Allen is the perpetrator- he even confessed and his confessions do not seem to have attributes of “false confession” on the contrary his confessions brought to much detail and missing information that finally made the mystery make sense… especially compared to all the other very suss suspects- none of them quite fit together like Allen. So crazy how people would rather make excuses for deplorable behavior then the truth. Reminds me of the Ashley Banefeild case- which to me was so clear but there wear so many apologists! I know it’s hard to believe such unsuspecting characters are capable of such evil things. I’m so glad that Libby and Abby got Justice and I hope that the community and loved ones can start to find some kind of healing.
people need to realize that treatment like what he went through can jeopardize a conviction. Did you know he was sent to the prison and in to solitary confinement at hearing where he was NOT AT and had NO LAWYER present to represent him? That action ALONE violated his rights. He had a RIGHT to be there, he had a RIGHT to have an attorney present. But no, they did it in a clandestine fashion and shipped him off without telling anyone until after the fact. he was NOT convicted at the time he was treated like that. It was a legally and factually innocent person in courts and should have been considered that in the jail/prison system. We aren’t supposed to treat convicted people like that, let alone legally innocent. heck, Bundy got treated better… and he escaped to unalive more people! and STILL got treated better when he was back in custody. It doesn’t matter what you THINK he did or what he got arrested for, they had ZERO right to do that to him. Before arrest OR after arrest. And they couldn’t even keep their damn story straight! Why are they involuntary shooting up a guy that is “faking” psychosis? Typically you need a court order to give involuntary medication even as a ward of the state. Did you also know that Haldol can WORSEN or even cause psychosis, hallucinations, delusions? The bugged out eyes? that’s haldol for you. The weird mouth and head movements? Haldol. It can leave you with LIFELONG Parkinson’s-like symptom even after stopping. The state WILL pay. Ie the taxpayers of Indiana will pay even more for this. Look up Wala’s lawsuit history, particularly Wala vs Vermillion. It was a convict that was locked away in solitary confinement by Wala, the same psych, and the same warden. They ignored his psychosis and said he was lying too. He sued. He filed HIMSELF, pro se initially. It was accepted, and he went on to win 500k from the state, 125k for every year of their illegal solitary confinement. Wala, the state, the prison, and the medical management company (centurion) have dozens of won lawsuits against them for things they have done just in their solitary confinement ward and neglectful medical practices at THAT prison, and centurion has hundreds and hundreds more throughout the country in countless prison systems. Some are unsubstantiated/unsuccessful, but many of them are. And for Rick? They were kind enough to record all of it except the sessions with Wala… where his most detailed confession was supposedly given to a psychologist that knew the case BEFORE RA was arrested, was excited to see him, participated on forums about the case, shared details with a certain Gray Hughes while STILL “treating” him, and admitted on the stand that she was talking to him about the case AFTER she previously told him to not talk about it because she might have to disclose to the prosecution. I cannot for the life of me understand why people are taking her word. She violated MULTIPLE ethical codes for her profession, violated prison policy to research another POI in the case. But now I’m supposed to believe she just told him he had supporters when she had a vested interest in forums and podcasts that wanted to nail him without any evidence? His voice matches the one on the video too. This guy could have helped but I believe the guy in the video was the land owner. You can compare the video clip with his interview for the news and his voice even sounds the same.
I wondered if someone knew him investigating who immediately thought couldn't be. Shady judgement. A la Bundy style. I believe same happened with Ridgeway, Green River k!ller. All of the evidence lost. If the culprit sees he is not being called in? They start thinking...phew! Glad I stopped before leaving or getting caught. The person studied enough to know cut from behind so the cannot scratch you or fight. They were smaller and inspite of his size, he hiked a lot. I knew guy ready to deliver who could hike moutains, haul around fire equipment. You can't compare him to grandpa stumbling around with arthritis. Funny walk was an uneven bridge ties worn by weather. He looked like the picture, he was there, knew the area well, showed signs of being unhappy with life...even though he had a wife who loved him, mother, family, who cared...still not happy in life? Alcohol is a depressant it rarely means a goodtime if you are unhappy in life...why? He was making no attempt to improve his situation. Sometimes...if you have bad thoughts that keep coming up..some..especially more disturbed that only acting out will relieve the mental trauma for them. That is what they say.
We should all be frightened that in the USA in 2024 anyone could be convicted after being arrested, imprisoned and eventually convicted for a heinous crime without sufficient evidence to justify his original arrest. Anyone who considers the confessions to be grounds for conviction doesn’t understand what solitary confinement and isolation can do to a human being, especially one with a history of depression. This is a travesty IMO because of the way the judge clearly favored the prosecution and prevented the public from having our constitutional rights to observe the actions of the court. A sad day for justice.

Not really solitary confinement when you are seeing a therapist each day ,was given recreation time each day, and had a guard or volunteer to talk with at any time ,a tablet ,phone and tv ...yeah not torture, not solitary And 61 confessions to his wife ,mother and everyone else
.... That is sotary confinement. The therapist comes to you to make sure you aren't suicidal. The guard watches you to make sure you don't kill yourself. You get 1 hour out a day. The tv, tablet and phone are in the cell with them. Not defending him because I don't know the details of this case but that's what solitary confinement is
He didn’t have the tablet every day - was I. A small cell with lights on ND A 20 minute visit from a dr and very little out of cell time - the SHU is solitary- this isn’t a third world country

@ yes I watched a few others as well but some were against the police, and all for Allen. I know it was a screwed up job but what about Abby and Libby?
@@maryannrusso4423 Please recognise HTC was biased toward the state. If that is your first exposure to this case, it may have influenced your opinion. I really ask you to maybe take a look at Lawyer Lee. She has remained quite neutral. I know she will do some post trial follow up. This is absolutely terrible for Abby and Libby. Shame on Nick McLeland for pushing this weak case full of lies (yes, lies). I'm so angry at him for displaying the crime scene photos in court, not under seal, and TWICE no less. I honestly don't think LE have done those two girls any justice at all. An investigation full of lazy errors (not dating reports, "losing" a long list of evidence). Then this abhorrent prosecution, full of inconsistencies bias - excluding evidence that should have come in and including 'evidence' that probably should have been kept out. The public outcry from this trial isn't just for Rick Allen, it is also for Libby and Abby who deserve true justice. Those police, not even dating reports, not following up on important leads, losing months of interviews, and doing pretty much nothing to rectify it.- do you think they really cared about those girls? Sorry, but I find it sickening. Libby and Abby deserve so much better, so does Rick Allen, and so do we all.
That judge violated EVERYONE’S constitutional rights by not allowing cameras or recordings. The Constitution of the United States of America guarantees all citizens the right to a speedy and PUBLIC trial. It’s called the 6th Amendment. How is this judge getting by with her shenanigans?
@ So, what’s your point? It was a “public trial” held in a courtroom so small people had to camp outside the courthouse all night just to get in. And media wasn’t even allowed to have their phones in there so therefore they couldn’t keep the “public” abreast of the proceedings like most reporters do by tweeting during the trial.
I think the defense did a great job confusing the public - no case is handled perfectly but it seems clear to me that the public is missing a lot of the story and that the folks working on this day in and day out like the judge, prosecutors, LE, etc deserve WAY more credit then the public has given. Sure mistakes were made, sure I would have liked there to be more transparency but I believe the jury got it right and they all worked hard to find the truth and justice for the girls. Seems like most of the controversy was painted by the defense with a sensational spin. People would rather believe some wild story than the truth, that unsuspecting “average” seeming folks can be evil and do terrifying things. The trial was public- members of the public did attend the trial. It was in a small town - I believe there should have been more transparency but we don’t know all the factors that came into play.
I believe he's innocent. However regardless of whether he did it or not his civil rights were horribly violated repeatedly and relentlessly, and he did not get a fair trial. This is supposed to be America, not North Korea. I am horrified and embarrassed. 😢. And I usually lean pro law enforcement and pro prosecution.
I've struggled with this but I now feel yes it is. His confession to his Mother deeply bothered me. However crummy investigation. If he never said he was there, they still wouldn't have anything IMO
Look at Lauren and Dr. John. Lauren was there, and Dr. John gave his input. As you know, he works with criminals as a forensic psychologist. Lauren is a wonderful reporter, like you.

Many were approached and thankfully not every channel fell for it and went on facts only! Justice was served! Thanks Paul ❤
I agree! Gray hues gets so many trolls and attacks especially with this case but he’s dedicated so much time and effort into the facts of the case and getting justice for the girls and it boggles my mind how people troll him so hard. Maybe he is a bit eccentric or passionate but he’s been solid and consistent in presenting the latest on the case - he’s been covering it more and for a longer amount of time then most and imo deserves so much more credit and praise then he gets. I haven’t seen anything from him that warrants the trolls and haters. He has been paying more close attention to this then anyone I know of and his opinion is really spot on. There were a lot of convincing red herrings along the way but RA made all the evidence finally make sense. I try to back the guy up in chats because wow people are so mean to him - for no good reason imo.

“Riddle me this” 😂😂😂❤❤❤
S/O to those girls for capturing their killer and getting justice
Evidence presented was enough to convict him. Timeline works out. Jury got it right
Not really solitary confinement when you are seeing a therapist each day ,was given recreation time each day, and had a guard or volunteer to talk with at any time ,a tablet ,phone and tv ...yeah not torture, not solitary
And 61 confessions to his wife ,mother and everyone else
Also 20 of his confessions were of stuff that were blatantly false- girls weren’t raped nor shot etc
Ikr. I don't understand why people aren't taking these confessions at face value.
@@angelarothbauer8096cry me a river. If he had been killed in prison we'd be having to hear about that. You can't have it both ways. It is hard to keep a child killer alive. Wait and see....
Justice has been served.
Woke up today and Patreon has me locked out again! After they took the money for it out of my account on November 14!
He confessed 61 times. I watched it daily with hidden true crimes with Lauren. She did a fantastic job. She was in the courtroom daily. Others were too biased for me. Anyways the jury saw more than anyone else. I believe they got it right.
Did you watch other sources? Because ppl are saying that Lauren did not do a great job at fully recounting the defense.
Even not, at least, having audio was an injustice!
Hi @Paul, @Emily Flotilla, and Sofa Squad.🌹
That judge violated EVERYONE’S constitutional rights by not allowing cameras or recordings.
The Constitution of the United States of America guarantees all citizens the right to a speedy and PUBLIC trial. It’s called the 6th Amendment.
How is this judge getting by with her shenanigans?
It was a public trial. It wasn't a media trial. Big difference.
@
So, what’s your point?
@@sandibaker5298Facts don’t matter to those who want a simple explanation for a complicated problem.
Correct verdict!
1 Hey Paul❤❤

I haven't followed this either, too complicated.
I like prosecutors podcast, hidden true crime, and profiling with pat brown and they all have recent videos on this case.
Watch Gray Hugh’s for the best timeline of events, HTC for info and psychology opinions about Dr. Walla and RA, Duty Ron & Ed Wallace for the ballistics evidence
When you look at the evidence in totality he is guilty. The jury got it right.
Also lawyer Lee with jumpsuit Pablo did great insight into RA’s treatment in prison pretrial
Don't care for hughs
@@Mary10538he has no customer service appeal/ is harsh but he’s been spot on about the timeline and providing visual aids in this case.
Hidden true crime reports facts 100% Gray Hughes investigates 100%
Some of the defense unfortunately has RUclipsrs putting out not completely accurate information to pursuade public opinion.(I wont name them) its dirty, its wrong, but it is what it is. Many were approached and thankfully not every channel fell for it and went on facts only! Justice was served! Thanks Paul ❤
Watch GHI map video (not a live)

Fake news
If he did it, doing the photos for their funerals is so sickening
True
He took photos of the funeral? 😮😢 Sorry I didn’t know much about this case.
