Good afternoon, dear Paul! I think all your pupils (like me) from East European countries who are now under the heat cupola of 40C+ would like to jump into your Iceland painting 🙂Great tutorial as always, lot of colours, light, reflections and necessary tricks. Get well and have a nice summer. Greetings from Republic of Moldova. Lilia Birnaz
What a gorgeous, colourful painting. The salt effect creates a lovely shimmer. Could you have created the same effect on the water by using a blade? Thank you for sharing.
Wonderful lesson!
Thank you so much, indeed!
As there is 35C in Kyiv today (and no aircons as electricity is 2 - 4 hours per day) Ukrainians especially like the subject!
And please accept our sincere gratitude for your unwavering support!
Such a therapeutic and magjcal voyage of discovery on many levels. We get the Southern Lights here in Tasmania where it is minus 1 degree this morning. I love the check-ins from all corners of the globe. We are truly a community
There’s not much more to say than, “totally inspirational.” Thank you!
Hi Paul,
Great video and painting as always. On the Nordic theme, I’d love to see a painting of some of the stunning landscape of the Faroe Islands. It’s an incredible place to paint, especially with the unpredictable weather. I would particularly recommend the Dunnesdrangar sea stack or Saksun lagoon and village.
Thanks!
Good morning Paul! Today is a good day to paint! I love how you show us all the details and colors to use. My palette is much worse than yours. lol. I wish I could join you for your plein air class. I’ve had some students ask me about doing one. Not in this heat! 🥵I’ll wait til fall. Praying your voice is strong and clear for it. 🙏🏻 Thank you so much for this inspiring video.
Love your Iceland joke. We used to say we went to London and got the same responses. Of course it was a pretty short drive from Michigan to London, Ontario, Canada 😉
Oh my word! This was so enjoyable! Thank you! Please get feeling better soon... maybe grab some local raw honey for that throat!
That was very entertaining, better than watching television and we’d love to join you in Iceland! 😂 My husband Mike and I look forward to watching you every Wednesday night here in Australia, there’s always something new to learn. You make it all look so easy, hoping one day I could do be half as good as you. 😊
This is stunning Paul. Just love the little nuggets you put in, like remember to start pale colours first, and the important reflection angles. Thankyou Paul.
That painting is magical. Thanks, I look forward to Wednesdays.
Good morning 🍩☕🫖 dear Paul! Always glad to see you 🖐️😊 as always on Wednesday and thank you for the video you made for us! I like 👍, as always, and I want to wish you only health, peaceful skies and good luck, dear Paul!Bye...bye...🎨🎨🎨🖼️🖼️🖼️🖌️🖍️❤️❤️❤️💋💋💋🌹Dear Paul! Today you have a cold😤🤧😷😤😮💨 voice! What a rich variety of colors on the palette in this video today!🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨
Good morning Adela! We need to give this one a go. 🖼️🎨🖌️what beautiful colors.
@@stampinturtles Hello dear Jacqueline! Yes, I admire the riot and variety of colors in today's video from Paul. How is your daughter Jessica? Is everything OK? I hope and pray for her and her health.😊🙏🌷🌹👍🖐️😄🌈🌄🏞️
@@adelabadova3105 she’s doing so much better! God is hearing our prayers. ❤️🙏🏻😊
And Paul Clark wields his magic brush, Voila! Another fine watercolor painting is complete.🎉🍺🌄
Very enjoyable Paul. I do love the ‘lights’.
Ahhh, my homeland ❤🇮🇸 Such a beautiful painting and calm scene. Thanks for featuring Iceland 🥰 Be welcome to come for a visit and bring your paints with you. You'll be spoilt for choice with all our amazing scenery!
Absolutely beautiful ❤
Question... If I chose to leave the water and reflection out (yes, it's a bit out of my comfort zone and ability) what color(s) would you paint the foreground? Or, how would you paint the foreground?
Just a question for you: I notice you always list your colors you plan to use. I have to confess I am never this planned or disciplined about defining or limiting color palette. Is this just for the sake of the tutorial, or do you tend to plan paintings this way in your head ahead of time? Thanks for your help. Amy B in Boise, ID
Thank you, Paul for another beautiful and inspiring session! You make it look so easy with your skill and experience! Perhaps I will give it a go! Blessings! I hope your voice is better soon. Tea with lemon and honey may do the trick. Or hoarhound drops.
STUNNING 😍😍😍
Such a beautiful painting. One feels we are there enjoying the scenery.
You never cease to amaze us. Ofcourse you make it look sooo easy. Hopefully I can paint like you Paul , someday. 🙏
Loved the cute story of meeting your friend. , and Iceland versus Iceland ☺️
Hope you feel better soon Paul. Nothing like feeling under the weather.
Inspite of that you still worked on the tutorial. Very commendable. Thank-you for your dedication to the tutorials. 🙏
Waiting for the next tutorial. Have a wonderful week. And feel better.
Take care 💗💗💗🥰
Paul, I didn't quite get what you were saying about the guy.
Yeah, that will happen to your voice with the ' Hay fever '
hi paul. brian from across the pond. nice job! when are you coming to the u.s.a.? cheers!
I've always wanted to go to iceland... the country, not the market😂
Is the quickness needed for wet in wet the reason why you did the sky and reflection at two different times?
So beautiful Paul 😊👍🏻 regards Tanja ☀️🙋♀️
I love it when you do these flowy, magical paintings! Thanks :) A suggestion - if you feel like it, perhaps you could do a Lord of the rings painting some day, inspired by Alan Lee/John Howe? I love their work but how they do it is an enigma to me. Thank you and have a wonderful day
Good morning from Lake Villa IL. I can't believe a week went by already.
Thank you for the beautiful step by step Paul and the tip on reflection. I'll make that adjustment next time. Of all the classes I have taken, I never heard about the reflection direction. I love your music choice.
Takr care of you❤
Oh boy, mine is awful, but I did have fun. Thanks Paul.
Love your voice anyways.😅 And this painting is stunning as always!
I've just got to add that I just love the song you have playing Dream Little Darlin...its so beautiful ❤
Very pretty painting. I love the colour combinations. The ‘Dream’ song was a lovely touch but made me a bit tearful. Fabulous and jolly tutorial once again. Thank you. 😊👍🏼
Amazing Experience of festival of colours in the sky
Gorgeous 😊. Thank you so much! And thanks for the jokes 😂
Beautiful Paul. Love all your work and really enjoy your Round the World Series. Spectacular picture. Love the colours.
Blimey! A tough project for Watercolour Wednesday 😱 But watching you paint and bringing to life the scene is sheer magic. The salt effect and the splattering of clean water is amazing. So much to learn about the finishing touches. Thank you so very much.
Very nice and how quick you are!! Well done

Today it's Teachers Day in India🤗
So magical ❤
hello, the pdf is not on your site was it downloaded ?
It’s there - right at the bottom 👍
Hi Paul, I have just painted your little boy in the beach (my fourth effort) and deemed it good enough to frame for my daughter, so thank you so much. But this morning I set out to paint Winter snow scene number 2. I ran into trouble with the mountains and tree line. I could not get a hard edge - the paints all merged into each other. There was certainly no need to drop in clean water to soften the edges! Should I have dried off the mountains before painting in the tree line? I am uses Arches 140lb paper on a block. Thank you so much for all the wonderful tutorials
Absolutely gorgeous! Loved watching this come together.
So look forward to your Wednesdays tutorial. I never seem to get round to painting them but so enjoy watching.
Spectacular painting Paul, thank you so much.
Glad you enjoyed it
Sorry about the hay fever Paul. For a minute there I thought you had taken a pre-painting good time break, lol!
Loved it!!
Wow! Amazing and fantastic !!!!
Thank you so much 😀
Molto bello
Absolutely beautiful. Now to get my paint and paper out. ❤
Awesome
Thanks for the tutorial 👍
You're welcome 😊
Lovely scene - colours are beautiful.
Hermosa pintura! Gracias.
What a great video!! I'm learning a lot from your work👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Glad to hear it! Thanks 😊
Thank you Paul I’ve been wanting another northern lights tutorial from you again ❤ loved painting this one!!!!!
Awesome! Thank you!
❤❤❤
Beautiful. Every time I tune in I learn something new. Quick question from the states... What size lead do you use for sketching? I normally paint free form because I don't like seeing the lines when finished.
usually an HB lead
This is amazing Paul, thank you for sharing this one with us. Very relaxing to watch, love your advice about giving it a go and just enjoying it. So, now to have a go and enjoy it!!! Here I go! 😊
You are very welcome
Hello, thank you for continuing to share your talent. Would you consider doing a video on how to add basic shape people to landscape paintings. I’m struggling with adding characters. Have a good day!
Sure thing! ... I have that very video: ruclips.net/video/RODIscP_YKU/видео.html
❤❤❤
Love this, and I'm going to give it a try. I live in America where we often see gorgeous Northern Lights. When you went to touch up the annoying white, unpainted spots in the sky I wanted to reach out and stop you. And remind you that the stars and planets are very visible and shine throughout the Aurora lit skies! It is not like a cloud cover at all.
Thanks for the comment!
Fantastic ❤🌷
Thanks 🤗
congratulations on the beautiful work ✨✨✨
Thank you so much!!
Thanks!
Thanks so much Vicki!
Stunning!! My daughters love Iceland I can see why. Beautiful work. Thank you:)
Love the glow of the painting! Great lesson on reflections. As always, learned something and just enjoyed how you turn a blank sheet of paper into beauty!
Great reflections of those grass covered buildings. A dream trip for sure. I've heard it is lovely. Thank you for this demonstration.
Brilliant! Love it
Love this one, gotta love reflections... love the mug speech bubble in the background too 😂 thank you ❤
Wow! This looks daunting but will give it a go! We went to Iceland last September. What a gorgeous country and friendly people. We were staying at a horse farm way out in the country and I was painting an Icelandic horse in my sketchbook one night. Stepped out into the cold clear night while paint was drying and there were the northern lights. We watched for over an hour. Unforgettable!
love it,especially the salt effect.(🤷♀️in the eyes of the beholder).👌
Wow another beautiful painting to add to the collection ! Those colors are beautiful, the water reflection is gorgeous!
Thank you for all you do Paul , you truly are an amazing teacher and an incredible artist ! Loved your goofy joke, 😂 and the music , it really sets the tone and gets my brushes moving ! I am so happy to see some of our albums are back ! Thank you to you and Margot ! ❤
I was 1 month ago to Island, you make me a very good memory with this beautiful paint !! Thank you Paul 😊
