That 3:57 James walk always gets me.Hes on a hunting mode here.
Yes! I saw it and said; shit he is hunting someone!
Sammeeees
you may like metallica, you may not, but damn what a fucking stage presence in 89.
Cleanest power chords ever played from 6:39 to the end.

Rodrigo Monteiro z

DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
*D I E!*
DIIIIIE!!!!! DIIIIE!!!!! DIIIIIE!
5:57 sounds like Lemmy.
That’s who possessed jason
Legit, I would love to see Mikkey D and Phil Campbell hook up with Jason to do something in the spirit of Motorhead. Lemmy is irreplacable of course, but that would potentially be a pretty fucking cool project.
@Evan Johnson
I get what you’re trying to say but he’s still alive and kicking during the time this concert took place
Jasta Gai Hold up, didn’t Lemmy die?
Sounds more like Cronos from Venom
The band at their absolute prime.
Daniel Selli indeed my friend. This is the greatest heavy metal band (along with Sabbath) at their absolute prime.
5:05 that night , James Maynard Keenan decided to become a rock star himself, and formed TOOL few months later
I was there ! August 30th, 1989 (first night) this was best concert I'd ever seen you had to of been there, it was in Tacoma Dome which only had 10,000 cause they were gonna film it. All my friends like 10 of us came from Vancouver to Seattle, I've seen them in '86 through 91 and this was far and above the best, the atmosphere was ALIVE - like God walked in the room. Hetfield was hilarious he would ask "what do you wanna hear next ????" I would yell out Creeping Death and boom every time he asked and I yelled out he played, I was in the ZONE man.
Whoever was the sound tech did a sick job with lars drum sound
Oh my fucking god! Jason has and had the greatest freaking "i want to murder you" vocals of all time. Fuck death metal and all that shit. The only genre that compares to Jason (Yes, he deserves his own genre of singing) is black metal.
+TheTwitchybird #jasoncore
TheTwitchybird wasn't he in a death metal band
@@BaxzXD No, He never was.
You never heard early Deicide, did you?
jason gave so much energy to this performance its unreal
2:44 Undertaker
Before he was famous
jason's vocals add whole new level of heavy to Metallica songs god damn i love it
simply unbelievable...The best fucking band OF ALL TIME delivering THE BEST PERFORMANCE OF ALL TIME!! Everything came together in a way that you see only in a lifetime...James guitar, vocals and powerstance. Kirk was just shredding it out there and soo close if not better than the studio version! And Fuck what people have to say about this, but at the time there just wasnt a better drummer than LARS FUCKING ULRICH!! And Jason.....He was just on a different wavelength, possessed by SATAN himself and delivering fire and brimstone every you dared look and listen to him!!! GODDAMMIT!!! And most importantly the crowd was super involved making this the most unforgettable live performance not only by metallica, but ANY band PERIOD.
No one can beat newsted on the stage 🤘🏻
This still gives me chills. Time stamp this memory forever.
The best live version ever!
Jason is the most underrated bassist of Metallica when clearly he's the best
Robert is the best technically but Jason is a monster at the gigs!
If you think Rob is the best technically, then I think you haven't heard the first three Metallica albums..
*cough*Cliff Burton*cough*
Papa Auvinen then you haven't heard Rob at infectious grooves and suicidal tendencies, he is like les claypool from late 90s
xXSlashRoseXx I think Buckethead is better at Bass than Les
Indrajeet Pala bassist? No cliff takes that by a long shot. Best stage presence? Yes Best back vocals? Yes
I can’t help but smile when Jason sings after the solo
2:37 OMG
2:43 OMGOMGOMGOMG

Simone Maccari cocaine doesn't give you skill
1:56 I didn't know that Satan was Metallica's backing vocalist.
Damn Jason I love you
Since I've been learning this song for a few days, it's amazing that in this video they play it 110% of original speed, maybe more... especially James with his insane picking and above all singing at the same time...man, this is Metallica and HM at its best!
This without a doubt is one of the Best concerts in music, ever...
1:11 OMG
yup
