      +Chase Miller I kinda like the Mexico City '93 version more. Although James' voice isn't as badass, some parts sound a little more polished, and Jason actually sings a little in the final chorus rather than all growl, which I like too.

    • @chasemiller7974
      @chasemiller7974 8 лет назад +39

      +DarthUno Eh it's ok but I think in the 90's they started to get soft. I like them better in the late 80's because that's when they were at their peak, James Hetfield's voice was just filled with grit and power their tone was just perfect for metal and Jason had such great backing vocals. But you know that's just my opinion to each is own.

      @djw6670 8 лет назад +29

      +Grimeyhoob that last sentence is one of the most racist things I've heard. there's nothing wrong with being partly from the Philippines
      also, why don't you just go and listen to your 'music' rather than wasting your time commenting on videos you don't even like. if you don't like it, don't watch it.

    • @Grimeyhoob
      @Grimeyhoob 8 лет назад

      @djw6670 8 лет назад +20

      Grimeyhoob I don't live in America, so he'd have a bit of a problem there.
      And, referring to the views in you previous comment, metal is not, as you believe, all about "growls" and "corpse paint". Metal is just a heavier, more aggressive version of rock music, and is SUNG, not growled. Take iron maiden, for example. They are widely viewed as having one of the greatest vocalists of all time, who SINGS (and bloody well too). Sure, death metal (which I admit I am not a fan of) is a subgenre of metal, but that doesn't make it the only style of metal. So go and learn your facts before talking shit, stop commenting on/and watching videos you clearly don't like, and cut out the racism.
      Merry fucking Christmas.

      Many people say it's a very hefty job to out do Metallica on stage, they opened for Ozzy in 86 & have been the main show ever since. Now days, it wouldn't be right for Metallica to open for another band, it just don't sound like a normal thing. They're gonna be the main act at every concert for the rest of their lives.

    Since I've been learning this song for a few days, it's amazing that in this video they play it 110% of original speed, maybe more... especially James with his insane picking and above all singing at the same time...man, this is Metallica and HM at its best!
