Thank you Mani for keeping a eye out for the rider community and anyone that has a k67. Such a shame the bike is awesome but I’m glad you have a much better alternative and upgraded part available for anyone to purchase. It’s great seeing content like this.
Thank you Brett. BMW has finally parted ways with Hayes. A premium bike should have the Brembo’s from the factory though. Especially for the price they ask for these
@@Motomillion agree 100%. a 14k japanese bike is more likely to have brembos than a 20k+ bmw.. thats sad. And the recall is replacing one set of BS calipers for another. Its probably worth it to pay extra for the brembos.. but $1600 is alot of cash

So when do they plan on shipping out the parts needed for replacement? I live in philly & the dealership told me a can’t purchase the bike until they fix the recall. Mind you it’s been 3 months since then and still nothing...
Yep. Same thing that happened to ours. Had to be replaced by our local BMW dealer.
Did they use the nissin calibers? I am thinking brembo is the way to go as always.
Thank you so much for the upgrade on my brakes, thanks for keeping us safe.
Great catch Manny....Great job sharing the information, showing a great upgrade and alternative solution!!!!

I bought Brembo M50 and Corsa Corta culinder for my K67. Hope not having problems with the ABS…
Will not be an issue.

Yes, got the recall notice and got it replace from dealer.
What did dealer install for you?
Probably replacement seals, but now they will replace the whole caliper on all the bikes.
that front caliper gp4 rx is 100mm or 108mm ?
S1000RR on stock forks are 100mm

Hoping soon. We are waiting on them too, so that we can purchase our next big project bike.
Thanks for the information:)
That issue has been around for a year now. And it is just one of the many problems with the K67...
Unfortunately it has been. Finally they gave up and will be replacing the Hayes calipers with Nissin. Still no Brembo’s though.
@@Motomillion Nissin? do you have a photo? the shape is the same of hayes?
So is bmw going to use nissin calipers to replace the Hayes.
Yes, replacements will be Nissin.

👍
Go back to Brembo's, problem solved.
We think so too.
