That looked like an absolute blast!!! I'm really enjoying your channel. I'm planning to take the leap into ADV riding and sincerely appreciate content like this. I can't wait to get out and experience rides like this. Thank you for sharing both the ups and downs. It's fun to watch, and also a great motivation to get out there myself.
Thank you for the kind words! Keep me updated when you take a leap into the ADV/dual sport scene. I enjoy riding; it fills my time and gives me something to look forward to!
Sooo... here is what i see.. a nice moto trip buuuuutt.. i think he bought the Versys-300 when he meant to buy the CRF300L for these conditions! Either way i enjoyed the video and hope to see more!
I own a 2023 300 , only 2000 miles on it , after watching this my respect and faith in the machine is way up. Good riding Sheldon, where are your rear shocks set on preload? Thanks.
I am impressed man.. You were with guys on dirt bikes with proper suspension and tires and you made it through. I am very impressed by that bike. I put like 20k miles on a KLR650 in about 2 years and this bike looks like a dream compared when it comes to being nimble... You have stock gearing? Looks like you MAY benefit from going up some teeth in the rear to get more torque at the cost of a bit of top speed.
Thank you! My first bike was a 15 KLR, which I enjoyed. The KLR and VX3 are both sweet! The VX3 is lighter but has reduced ground clearance, which isn't terrible once you get used to it. I've tossed around the idea of changing gearing but I do alot of road riding as well. The bike screams at 70+ already lol appreciate your comment!
I’m thinking of trading my Himalayan for one of these as I find it too heavy. I regularly ride trials like this so it’s reassuring that the Versys is capable in this environment. Can I ask what type of tires and bash plate you have? Thanks for videos, I really enjoy them
I have a T-Rex Racing heavy-duty bash plate and Shinko 804s on the front and 705s on the back (I prefer the 805s on the back though). Thanks for watching!
As soon as I pulled over and saw it was a Chinese 250, I'd roll right back out. You get what you pay for and you can't tell cheap people shit. Let em sit in it.
Thanks for watching! Also, thanks for 100 subscribers! Smash the like button ☺
Some great looking tracks...good job 👍
Mad respect for you Man , you one tough hombre , hope the Pan Am guy ain't bear snacks.
Pretty challenging trails for that heavy of a bike with those tires, Kuddos!
Thanks! Appreciate the comment ☺️

Very impressed! I wouldn’t take my Tiger through there. And the guy on the Pan Am, what was he thinking? 😂
Thank you! That's the first time I've seen a Pan Am up close. They are alot bigger than I thought!
Thanks for the shoutout man!
Anytime! Thanks again for the support!

Thank you for watching!! I have actually never touched my rear shock. Maybe I should look into that 😆
The first few times I took my bike to St Joe I came home with a $100-$250 repair bill. You did great man.
Haha 😂 I feel you! A few close calls but overall a successful day.
