This time we were really lucky. We had our flight scheduled and it actually took off at the scheduled time. Not so special you think? Well, then you didn´t do your bet including Madeira FNC airport. This one is considered to be one of the most dangerous airports in Europe due to a severe crosswind-risk. We departed on a Saturday afternoon with best conditions considering the weather and wind. Just in the same week, from tuesday to thursday nearly all flights were cancelled due to strong winds. These are common on Madeira. A lot of people had to sleep in the terminal for two days until they could fly out on thursday and friday.
