  • Muhammad Ali chats to Tonight's Denis Tuohy about his autobiography, The Greatest. He explains what he meant when he claims that he and his great rival Joe Frazier are now 'free' following their epic boxing trilogy, and discusses his plans for a life after boxing.

    If only he’d walked away from this interview and never stepped into another ring again. Not only was he robbed of himself we were robbed of him too.

      He already had Parkinson's disease here. Experts think he's had it atleast since 1975. The Thriller in Manilla in 1975 shows Ali's boxing was much slower than normal.

      Boxing had nothing to do with parkinson, he would have gotten it even if he laid on his bed his entire life.

      @@fguledh I don't know. Seeing the blows he took to his head by Foreman, one of the hardest punchers in history, from joe frazier 3 times, also a very hard puncher, from lyle, also a very hard puncher, and from shavers, the hardest hitter, He definitely got some of it from boxing.

    Love Ali .. he was/ is one of the GOAT's of boxing .. but, he went too far with calling Joe Frazier an "Uncle Tom" - that wasn't selling the fight/ fight talk .. that was too far & Frazier never forgave him for that. Frazier picked cotton & grew up very poor .. Ali got into boxing because his bike stolen .. Frazier could only dream of owning a bike as a kid .. he was working in the fields.

    Muhammad Ali wanted to be a minister? He had the same plan as George Foreman, who became a preacher. If only he was allowed to do that.

      There's a drastic difference between this and his interviews in 80/81 where he was starting to really become affected. Crazy how much of a difference there was in just 4 years.
