So I've listened to Aerosmith for 50 years, and how you described how Steven Tyler made you feel when he sings....I've felt that for FIFTY YEARS!!!! :)
This is the best song they never wrote! Written by Diane Warren, who envisioned it would be perform by Celine Dion. It ended became Aerosmith song, thank God.
This is wrong, they actually offered it to Steven Tyler and Aerosmith but they turned it down because they were afraid the band would lose fans because of them making a very cheesy movie song... however Steven was at the shooting of Armageddon to see Liv, his daughter and he saw the whole scene where Bruce Willis says goodbye to Liv and she cries about her father dying which is so powerful that Steven and the band decided to happily do the song and they gave it every last drop of their being to make it as perfect as possible . That's the actual story behind the song... maybe they thought of Celine Dion after Steven Tyler rejected the song initially but from what I've read the true story is that the song was supposed to be an Aerosmith song to begin with
Steven Tyler is the lead singer & this is my fav by Aerosmith. The clips are from a movie called Armageddon, & his daughter Liv Tyler, Bruce Willis & Ben Afleck star in it. And yes, Steven is still performing. Check out Him & Carrie Underwood together, doing 'Walk this way', Perfection!
Steven Tyler has a heck of a voice. He reunited with his daughter during this time and did a few videos like this. His last attempt at tour he damaged his throat and he is a million years old. "Dream On" is one of the most popular. I like "Adams Apple" and "Big Ten Inch" among others.
Steven Tyler has an irreplicable voice... when you hear his voice you know it's Tyler... and nobody can REALLY sing Aerosmith songs except for him... I mean even the best rock voices of all time like Freddie Mercury and Steve Perry are kinda replicable if someone is a ridiculously good singer but replicating Tyler? Nope... can't be done...
Aerosmith is one of those bands that sounds better live, that's the talent! No one can sing live like Steven Tyler, born in 1948, sing in the same key as the studio version and hit the high notes every time till age of 75, his stage presence in unbelievable, he's an awesome performer! you may check out his live performances. Cryin', What It Takes, Amazing, Crazy “Dream On” & "Walk this way" , with Slash and Train, at the Howard Stern Birthday Bash, or " Dream On" (with Southern California Children's Chorus) - Boston Marathon Bombing Tribute
@@MrsPenPalAerosmith has quite a few songs in that movie. Very good soundtrack! Bon Jovi is on there, too! As well as Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band.
This song slaps so hard...but in that intro zoom-in, the place it zooms into on earth is actually Cape Canaveral...the same spot that many space shuttles were launched from (As a Florida boy, it's part of my personal history)...both bringing humanity to new horizons and reminding us how precious our earth is...as Carl Sagan said, "Our planet is a pale blue dot...We are but a mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam..." (Paraphrased)
Another Aerosmith video you should react to is the original music video of "Sweet Emotion" ... found on youtube with the title "Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion"
