hi my grandfarther loved this song, for one reason it remined him of his lovely wife, he loved his wife with all of his heart! he passed away 1 yr ago today just six weeks after my grandmother passed away and his heart broke and he no longer wanted to be on this rollercoaster without her and he said to me not long before he died i want to be with your gran now!!!!!! I miss yous with all of my heart gran and grandad, i will always be thinking of yous forever until im with both of yous!.. x x x x

I only knew Martino from The Godfather. As I've mentioned before, I had indeed been deprived. But no more. I am less than 60, but love talent. Al Martino was great, and everything I find from him is damn good. This technology bullshit--ipad, ithis, ithat, but RUclips, ah, is certainly good for something.
Agree completely and am a big fan of Martino. If you like this kind of singing, I suggest you also look up folks like Eddie Fisher, Tony Martin, Vic Damone and Perry Como. Great voices from a great era of singing and songs. Fisher especially is just brilliant.
