13:23 Pandas are incredibly durable in real life too. When they need to get down from trees, they just let themselves drop to the ground instead of climbing down; their bones are extra-dense to prevent breakage. That's how Po can fall out of the sky or down all those stairs and still get back up.

If you guys haven’t already, Tombstone (1993) is a fantastic and emotional western with a stacked cast (Kurt Russel, Val Kilmer, etc.) Highly recommend!
There are so many hidden details in this, for example, if shifu wasn't so impatient when oogway blew out the candles, if shifu let him take his time and do it then tai lung potentially probably wouldn't have escaped , also tigress story is a lot like tai lungs, she was destined to be the dragon warrior, and oogway chose someone who didn't even know kung fu, yet she still respected her masters and did what she coild to protect everyone.

Fun films she has been in: Charlie's Angels (2000) (all three), Kill Bill (2003)(Volume 1 and 2), Shanghai Noon (2000). Charlie's angels is based off of the TV show that first aired in 1976 and ran thru 1981. Kill Bill, I imagine is on your list of things to vote on and you have heard of before, Quentin Tarantino. Shanghai Noon is a fun mix of Western with Martial Arts and Stars Jackie Chan (Who is fantastic if you have never seen him perform) and Owen Wilson. I also noticed you watched the first Harry Potter movie a while back but haven't continued that. I was curious if you planned to get through that series. Cheers.
I really enjoyed watching “Kung Fu Panda 1” with you guys it’s a great movie. I love the concept of the Dragon Warrior but it’ll even get better with the second and third one as you continue your journey with this amazing trilogy. The cast is great. Jack Black as Po is iconic, Angelina Jolie is fantastic as Tigress, Seth Rogen with his comedy as Mantis, David Cross is fantastic as Crane, Lucy Liu is lovely as Viper, Ian McShane as Tai Lung, the legendary Jackie Chan as Monkey and the fantastic Dustin Hoffman is great as Master Shifu. Looking forward to the second and the entire trilogy. Take care, enjoy life, stay healthy and have a great one🔥
The one detail I always love in this movie is that Po eat when he's upset. And when Shifu's done training him, he returned the dumpling instead of eating it and said he's not hungry, the Panda gained confidence in himself.

Welcome to the journey. And yes, the whole series is amazing. I still haven't seen the newest one, which is still in theaters, but Po's emotional journey hits like a sack of bricks for me... as someone who isn't the fittest or smoothest, and has... often been disregarded or downplayed by the people who should have been building me up. And Tai Lung... yeah, he wasn't great, but... you really get where he was coming from. Either way, I'm looking forward to this ride with you two!
Glad you got to see this! This was great, but the sequel is the best of the trilogy, so you GOTTA see it. Also, if you wanna get into Jack Black, check out School of Rock, or Tenacious D. Or if you want another ensemble cast with Jack Black, try out Tropic Thunder.
I honestly think the Tai Lung intro is the best villain intro of any movie ever. Normally when a villain is introduced you're shown them doing bad things so you know how villainous they are. But Tai Lung is different. In his first scene you can't even see him, all you see are the many protections against him and how thoroughly chained down he is. He is so defeated and neutralised, but thanks to the messenger and the prophecy you're still afraid of him. And *then* he breaks free, with a single feather, and immediately validates your fear by wrecking everyone in sight.
This movie takes a lot of inspiration from classic Hong Kong cinema Kung Fu movies. Check out HERO with Jet Li for a more serious and artistic take on the genre; and any Jackie Chan classics like SUPERCOP, POLICE STORY and LEGEND OF DRUNKEN MASTER--there's lots to choose from. Enjoy!
