Funny though, I don't believe for a second that Russell is really that uncoordinated. I've thought about this quite a few times when I see him try stuff on this show. Celtic dancing, fencing, break dancing, martial arts, etc. He's got the perfect height/frame/build ratio to do any of those things. He just chose to be a comedian. On the other hand, if he had chosen to do something else, it would have been a tragic loss to the world.
Your muscles are only part of the equation when it comes to coordination, though. I had a series of ear infections as a child and afterwards had extremely poor balance, and even after many years of martial arts training I'd say I have below average equilibrioception where my contemporaries are probably in the top percentage. I'm sure Russel's lazy eye factors somewhat into disrupting his sense of perspective, and he may have other minor difficulties or irregularities that add up to being below average in coordination. Issues with coordination can certainly be worked around, I didn't let my poor balance stop me from learning jumping spin kicks, but that isn't the same thing as not having those difficulties at all.

@@shanefoy9627 ok so first I had to rewatch the clip cause I didn't remember it, but secondly, no I didn't get the irony because I'm american and at least in my part of the US they don't sell that brand of butter so ty for explaining it to my uncultured self. (cont'd)...If you examine him from a physical (but not sexual) point of view, he has a lot of physical gifts. There's all but 6 feet of him to begin with, so he's fairly tall. He has broad shoulders, a broad chest, long, graceful sinewy arms and a proportionally small waist, so even before he started hitting the gym more, he was probably both ridiculously strong and nimble. His legs are long and thick, so he's probably really fast. His hands are huge with long fingers, and his feet are long and broad like the rest of him. We know he doesn't like to get in fights, but I'm sure he's gotten in a tussle every now and then. I'd bet anyone who's gotten into a one-on-one fight with him has come away worse than he did. And NOW....well, now-a-days, he's a LOT bigger and beefier in every way, If someone tried to tackle him now they'd probably hurt themselves instead of hurting him any.
That's because I am a total Russell Howard fanboy, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I am totally 100% obsessed with him. And I **am** a writer of fanfic, but I've never written anything about Russell. I would feel like I was cheapening him by doing so. I believe he should be admired and revered.
Like I said, "...all but 6 feet...". To be precise, he's 5'8". It's just that his arms are so long and he's so broad through the chest and shoulders that he appears to be bigger than he actually is.
