I've a trained a twin coconut tree nto a bonsai. They are 25+ years old now. I have not seen any thing like that anywhere

Why bonsai tree still small compare to other trees?

Hello. That is because they are trained to be this size. You can train them to be any size you like. By pruning on the roots every few years and keeping them in small pots. A tree grows as much as you allow it to. If it's in the ground it grow freely but it a pot is limited
