For me L&D is another great pop rock ballad with beautiful SuMetal vocals piercing into our hearts. Love the J-pop sound from 2000 and the nostalgic vibes mixed with the edm sound. As the door opens, is it hope or despair that awaits us? The song expresses the duality in everything and the way things are perceived and interpreted differ depending on each person’s point of view._ This was a world premiere at BabyMetal Returns The Other One - Makuhari Messe 2023 setlist, along with "THE LEGEND". Later on during live concerts at PIA Arena MM Yokohama (April 1st - Fox Day and 2nd) they announced a new member, finally MomoMetal become official, and she's no longer an avenger, we were all happy for her.🍑❤️ Last month they finished the Asian Tour and in October they will be at Knotfest Brazil, Argentina and Chile for the first time in South America, as well Peru, Chile, Colombia and Brazil with a headlining show, they will come back to the US for another tour and also Mexico will be part of that tour but this time as special guests for Slipknot, we can't wait for it. Light & Darkness is one of the deepest cuts from their most recent album. It's a fairly unusual song in that it's an out and out ballad, which is something they don't do all that often, and it's got the EDM vibes. They've only performed this one live three times. Babymetal have never done any anime soundtracks. The only thing they did do that is similar is the theme song to the cartoon Unikitty.
Nice one guys! This is an amazing song really highlighting Su’s vocals. You need to check out an actual live version with the live audio, it’s even better. Pro-Tip: never use auto-generated subs for Babymetal 😉. You know their official videos will never have subs. For me, the song is about a toxic love that drowns one in a poisoned dream. But, that love is so strong, one can’t escape. Also, I said the same thing about how I felt, but this song grows on you. Especially after you hear the live audio version! 🤘🦊

I felt the same as you the first time I heard this song - it isn't my style so it isn't my favourite, but it does grow on you and the live version with Su's live vocals, the Kami Band's instrumentals a bit more prominent and a couple of subtle timing changes here and there is (as you would expect) a lot better. There are no BABYMETAL songs in any anime. 'Gimme Chocolate' has been used in a video game, 'Karate' and 'RATATATA' have been used for wrestling events and they did the theme for the American(?) cartoon Unikitty ... no anime.
Nah, forget running on a bridge with a dragon.... This song, you're racing someone Initial D style in some cyber city, top down and chillin'.... 😁😁😁🤘🦊🤘
