- Episode 5 of my backpacking journey from Egypt to Japan without flying:
In this episode, I inquire about the ferry from Dubai to Iran, which doesn't go according to plan. I waited a week longer in Dubai till I finally boarded the ferry across the gulf to mainland Iran. I face immigration issues as an Egyptian (what a surprise!) but eventually enter the country.
On my first night in Iran, I take another ferry to an Iranian island. And even though I arrived in the middle of the night, a random guy on the street saw me and offered me to stay at his place, together with his brother & friend. What amazing hospitality! 🙏🏽
I explore the island the next day, then take an overnight bus to Shiraz, which also arrives in the middle of the night. My arrival coincides with Nowruz, the Persian New Year, so everywhere is fully booked. The night was spent roaming around the city allleys looking for a place to sleep...

I subscribed because of your reel on Facebook. Loving the real travel troubles and life of dealing with country to country.
Can’t wait to watch your videos from Japan, what an inspiring journey!
Greetings from Australia! I am loving this channel. Hope you keep posting long form vids here. I find Mecca very interesting being a non-Muslim. Thanks for taking us along to an important place. Spent some time travelling in the middle east and miss the amazing warmth the people almost always showed to a scruffy Aussie who was clearly not from around there. Still remember a guy driving me all the way from Amman to Petra, repeatedly stopping along the way to buy all sorts of food and coffee just to watch my reaction when trying stuff. One of the best experiences of my life.
That's AMAZING 😍
Love the smiles even in tough situations brother
Once I wanted to go to Dubai by Valfajr ships but eventually I did not. Your video showed me how they look. Thank you.
Watching your journey feels so… and I don’t know if this is the right choice of word, but… cathartic
Glad to see your face while speaking not only as voice over.

I’ve been wondering, how are you editing your videos with such high quality in areas and places that don’t feel like you’d be able to?
Just genuine curiosity what job do you have that you can afford to visit so many countries for 2 straight years ?

How reckless do you think this is to do for a brit?
Not different based on nationality. Most Iranians are just as welcoming to foreign visitors :)

Why don't you have a video of you getting from Saudi to Dubai, or any of your time in Dubai?
